That is what Sophie Ecclestone does so well - she just mixes up her line and her pace. She just pushed that one through ever so slightly quicker and slightly fuller.

The drifting is what has done it there - there was no spin on it - but that drift back in towards the right-hand made it a lovely delivery from the world number one!

    Zafar b Ecclestone 8 (Pak 79-3)

That's why she's world number one!

Sophie Ecclestone clears up Ayesha Zafar, her delivery drifting in beautifully to break the Pakistan batter's stumps.

She moves to 97 ODI wickets.

It was a poor delivery that from Charlie Dean. It was short and down the leg-side. Actually, the three balls after the dropped catch weren't the best deliveries.

It was maybe a little bit of frustration showing from that dropped catch, it was one Amy Jones would take nine times out of 10.

    Pak 78-2

Ah, that's another drop for Amy Jones!

Dean draws Muneeba Ali's edge, but Jones spills the chance standing up. Her hands came down on the ball at a strange angle, one above the ball.

Ayesha Zafar closes the over with a scoop over short fine leg for four.

  5. Pak 71-2published at 18 overs

Ayesha Zafar tucks Sophie Ecclestone away for a leg-side two, before the England spinner goes up for an lbw shout from the following ball.

The umpire isn't interested and rightly so, the ball was sliding down leg.

  6. Pak 68-2published at 17 overs

Charlie Dean rattles through a maiden, the first of the day.

England beginning to turn the screw a little...

It is going to be a Sophie Ecclestone day, isn't it? You can just feel it.

She comes in, she gets a wicket. She has bowled three overs and has only gone for the seven runs. She is confident and she is building that pressure.

  8. Pak 68-2published at 16 overs

Ayesha Zafar comes in at four for Pakistan and gets off the mark immediately with a single into mid-wicket.

    Sadaf b Ecclestone 28 (Pak 67-2)

    Chopped on!

Ecclestone cramps Sadaf Shamas for room attempting the cut and she bottom edges onto her stumps.

The opener looked decent at times in this innings, but has failed to go onto a big score. That's a concern for Pakistan, who made some decent starts in the T20 series before falling away.

Why I think the wide situation is happening is because both bowlers have got a lot of freedom to explore and bowl different pace lengths.

They are bowling different paces, from left-hand and right-hand combinations, but they are also landing at different places on the crease, either wide or straight. That can create bigger angles which can, in turn, lead to balls going down the leg side.

There is a reason why they are taking risks.

Couple of wides again from Charlie Dean, but she follows them up with two deliveries that draw expansive drive attempts from Sadaf Shamas.

She doesn't connect with either of them, and from the first one Amy Jones enthusiastically takes off the bails for the fun of it.

Three off the over, and the players will take drinks.

  12. Pak 63-1published at 14 overs

Decent over from Ecclestone, just the one single from it.

She's been dropping some delicious yorkers at the feet of the Pakistan batters, a couple almost squirted through in the last over, and Sadaf Shamas has to block one out in this one.

  13. Pak 62-1published at 13 overs

    Five wides this time!

Charlie Dean's delivery lifts off the pitch and scoots over the gloves of Amy Jones before running off to the boundary.

We're up to 15 wides for the innings.

Pakistan's worm is starting to fall behind England's, although the hosts had a horrible final 10 overs.

Is Muneeba Ali partial to a reverse sweep?

I think with the turn she is getting, most of those will be missing the stumps. But it might be a safe option for her if it is something that she's comfortable with. The first slip is in there, but I can't see that being a problem.

  16. Pak 54-1published at 12 overs

    Ooooh, not so far away.

Sadaf Shamas drives through the covers and looks for two, Muneeba Ali beating the throw back to Sophie Ecclestone at the bowler's end. They take a look but that was good running from the non-striker.

England have just had a nice passage of play where they have had the pace come on. I would've liked that, if I was them.

Sophie Ecclestone has come on and Charlie Dean from the other end, so it will be a different game now.

Straight away they are asking questions.

  18. Pak 51-1published at 11 overs

Here's Charlie Dean... guess what her first delivery is.

After that opening wide, the Pakistan batters work her for three singles, Muneeba bringing up the Pakistan fifty with a push to square leg.

  19. Pak 47-1published at 10 overs

Sophie Ecclestone comes for England and joins the wides club with her second ball - that's England's ninth in ten overs (plus six leg byes and a no ball), one more than in the whole first innings.

It's a decent over otherwise, just one single coming off the bat from a Muneeba Ali sweep.

  20. Pak 45-1published at 9 overs

Cross oversteps to offer up a free hit for Muneeba Ali - she hacks it away for two into mid-wicket.

The England seamer then sends down a leg-side wide, but tightens her line up to finish the over with three dots.
