Brandon King has showed a lot of courage there because that was hit like a rocket. A lot of people would have let it burst through their hands but he watched it until the end and kept hold of it.

It was the right shot from Smith but he hasn't been able to fully capitalise on a promising innings.

West Indies have a much-needed breakthrough!

Jamie Smith, who was dropped on one, rode his luck off the previous ball, with an ugly swipe falling short of Jayden Seales, but he doesn't get a third life.

Brandon King holds onto a powerfully-struck shot to send the England opener on his way for 37 off 24 balls.

    A sharp reaction catch.

New bowler. Same result. Ben Duckett takes a ball to size up Alzarri Joseph before pulling him for four.

There is nothing hacky or sloppy from the England batters which is pleasing to see. Anything that has got into Jamie Smith's hip area, he has put away cleanly.

The West Indies bowlers right now are looking pretty lacklustre.

Shai Hope makes a much-needed bowling change. Alzarri Joseph replaces Matthew Forde.

Jamie Smith is looking fluent here, bringing up the 50 for England. Once these two look set, it is hard to stop them.

Shai Hope is going to have to make some changes here, Forde and Seales are providing nothing in the attack.

  7. Eng 59-0published at 6 overs

England cruise beyond 50 in the sixth over.

How much will West Indies be ruing this missed chance? With his sixth and seventh boundaries of the day, Jamie Smith is up to 37 (21).

West Indies bowler Jayden Seales slaps his cap against his leg. It's not been a good start for the visitors.

Afternoon from a gloomy NE England. After watching Leeward Islands Hurricanes in the Carribbean Championship via a legitimate streaming service, looking forward to seeing Keacey Carty batting at 3 as he was impressive in that competition.

England are looking to advance and apply pressure. Forde has landed the last few balls at a good length, but Jamie Smith knew where they were landing and it was a lovely stroke.

West Indies need to find a breakthrough here but Duckett and Smith look strong.

    Many congratulations James and Emma!

Jamie Smith and Ben Duckett are certainly giving you a perfect excuse to continue the celebrations. Two more boundaries fly from Smith's bat.

Ben Duckett started the over with a boundary and finishes it in the same fashion. The fielder running around the rope comes up agonisingly short with his dive.

    The outfield is looking rapid.

Seales is getting his line totally wrong here. He is going to have to drag his length back a fraction otherwise Ben Duckett will hit him there all day.

Duckett didn't leave that one! Four more.

Jayden Seales hasn't found his radar yet.

Two deliveries left by Ben Duckett in his innings so far. That is already the most he has left in any ODI innings in his career.

This opening attack has been all over the place, it's been totally inconsistent from the West Indies.

You don't bowl there to Ben Duckett and the sandy bases here are so quick and unforgiving for the bowlers.

  17. Eng 24-0published at 3 overs

Short, wide, and pummelled for four through point by Ben Duckett.

Three overs in and England are ticking along nicely.

His first boundary, off an edge and dropped, was streaky but Jamie Smith is officially up and running as an opener, finishing the over with back-to-back fours.

12 runs off the over. Jayden Seales does not look very happy.
