    Shot!

A little short from George Drissell and Joe Clarke climbs into a pull shot which races through point for his 10th boundary. Clarke goes to 70.

Four byes and Kent can't really afford to give away too many of those...

It's a long way wide down the leg side from Jake Ball and wicketkeeper Harry Finch can't get down to prevent the ball from running away to the rope.

Gloucestershire won't mind that at all.

  4. 'A big breakthrough for Lancashire'published at 14:53 British Summer Time

    Derbys 128-3 - target 329

    Dave Fletcher
    BBC Radio Derby Sport

It's a big breakthrough for Lancashire.

I was just about to say how sensibly they were playing to leave themselves with a chance to score but they've been done down the leg side.

Lancashire will be delighted with that.

The required run-rate is just under four.

    Glos 31-2 - target 162

The eighth over of Gloucestershire's run chase comes to an end and they move onto 31-2.

The hosts are going along well above the required run rate but have lost two wickets.

Another 131 runs needed for victory.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:52 British Summer Time

    Madsen c Hurst b Bailey (Derbys 128-3 - target 329)

Wayne Madsen cuts beautifully down to deep backward point for a lovely four off Tom Bailey to go to 19.

    And then he's gone!

The Derbyshire skipper will hate that dismissal as he plays at a ball down legside and feathers a catch to wicketkeeper Matty Hurst.

    Brooke Guest joins Harry Came.

  7. Notts move into the leadpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time

    Durham 664 v Notts 407 & 258-5 - lead by one

Kyle Verreynne drives George Drissell through the covers and Nottinghamshire move into the lead.

Milestone ticked off for the visitors in their bid to save the game.

  8. Postpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time

    Glos 30-2 - target 162

Miles Hammond joins the cover drive party and in almost identical fashion to Ollie Price, he punches one to the boundary.

Nine runs off that over from Jake Ball at a good time for Gloucestershire.

  9. Postpublished at 14:47 British Summer Time

    Glos 26-2 - target 162

Ollie Price with another wonderful drive, this time through extra cover from Jake Ball.

Text book stuff as it flies away for four before Price picks up another single. Gloucestershire could use him settling nice and early.

  10. 250 runs

250 up for Nottspublished at 14:47 British Summer Time

    Durham 664 v Notts 407 & 253-5 - trail by 4

Kyle Verreynne has joined Joe Clarke in the positive approach as Notts bring the deficit down to single figures.

They've put on 22 in just two-and-a-half overs.

Brydon Carse is probably approaching the end of his spell as he runs in again.

Joe Clarke plays him around the corner for a single before the England fast bowler almost yorks Verreynne.

An under-edge then beats wicketkeeper Ollie Robinson and goes to the boundary to bring up the 250.

Some much-needed relief for Gloucestershire as Ollie Price makes a lovely connection outside off stump from Jake Ball and crashes one to the cover boundary to get off the mark.

  13. Postpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time

    Glos 14-2 - target 162

Two new batters at the crease... not ideal for Gloucestershire who are chasing their first win of the season and first win on home soil since September 2022.

Ollie Price and Miles Hammond will need to quickly settle the nerves for the host against this promising opening spell from Nathan Gilchrist and Jake Ball.

This is high quality bowling from Kent, they have come out swinging.

The home side are under immense pressure.

We are in for an absolute firecracker.

  15. Postpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time

    Derbys 109-2 - target 329

Ooof! Wayne Madsen looks back anxiously as George Balderson pushes him back and takes the edge.

No slips, but it flies just past the right hand of Matty Hurst diving at full stretch. Four.

Harry Came picks up his eighth four, this time off Tom Bailey, to move into the forties.

Bailey then traps Wayne Madsen on the pads deep in the crease and beseeches the umpire to give it. Not out. That looked very, very close.

  16. 'A very watchful innings'published at 14:32 British Summer Time

    Durham 664 v Notts 407 & 229-5

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

It's the end of the partnership, an important stand.

It was a very watchful innings from him.

You'd imagine Notts are on course to wipe out that deficit but they won't want anymore wickets going down.

  17. wicket

    Bancroft c Finch b Ball 7 (Glos 12-2 - target 162)

We do have a game on our hands here!

It's a wicked delivery by Jake Ball, who is bowling brilliantly alongside opening partner Nathan Gilchrist.

Cameron Bancroft pushes forward at it and nicks through to Harry Finch behind the stumps who takes an easy catch.

Gloucestershire are two down inside three overs!

  18. Postpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time

    Glos 12-1 - target 162

It's short and wide from Jake Ball and Cameron Bancroft slashes at it... The ball flies through the air but narrowly misses Ben Compton at point and runs away for four.

Entertaining start to this Gloucestershire second innings.

George Drissell has been getting some big turn, but this one slides on a little more and catches Jack Haynes leg before.

Huge breakthrough as Notts had begun to look a little comfortable.

A single apiece for Jack Haynes and Joe Clarke.

Durham could really do with a wicket soon. The partnership is up to 81.
