  1. 100 runs

100 up for Worcestershirepublished at 12:10 British Summer Time 26 May

    Worcs 104-6 (target 327 v Warwicks)

Back-to-back boundaries from Ethan Brookes, both through the covers, bring up Worcestershire's 100.

They will need a lot more than that if they are to get close to reaching their target of 327.

  2. Postpublished at 12:07 British Summer Time 26 May

    Surrey 103-1 (target 418) v Essex

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

Ticking on at just about 4 an over are Surrey, plenty of time in this game to chase the runs, run rate will not be an issue if they can bat through the day.

  3. Postpublished at 26 overs

    Surrey 103-1 (target 418) v Essex

    Kurtis Patterson liked that one.

Short and wide from Kasun Rajitha and he thrashes it past point for another boundary.

The left-hander cover drives for four to end the over and Surrey are motoring along at the moment, despite the loss of Rory Burns.

  4. Postpublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 26 May

    Northants v Gloucs 1-0 (target 350)

We are back underway at Wantage Road and Cameron Bancroft begins Gloucestershire's innings with a single.

Just another 349 of those needed now.

  5. Postpublished at 25 overs

    Surrey 92-1 (target 418) v Essex

We don't know how comfortable Kurtis Patterson is against spin but he makes good contact with the final ball of Simon Harmer's latest over as he cuts it away for four. He is 12 not out.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:58 British Summer Time 26 May

Parkinson lbw b Morley 1 (Kent 183-8, trail by 78 runs)

Victory is imminent and looks likely to be wrapped up before lunch at this rate.

With Jake Ball having retired hurt they are just one wicket away from the win.

Matt Parkinson takes a big stride forward and presents a defensive bat but it does not save him as the ball hits his front pad.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:57 British Summer Time 26 May

    Jones c Smith b Barnard 10 (Worcs 87-6, target 327)

    And another one for Warwickshire.

It's lovely from Ed Barnard, who finds the edge of Rob Jones and Kai Smith takes a simple catch behind the stumps

Good precision bowling from Barnard - virtually every ball has caused a question of the batsman on this difficult pitch this morning.

  8. Postpublished at 11:53 British Summer Time 26 May

    Surrey 81-1 (target 418) v Essex

A long hop by Kasun Rajitha gets what it deserves as Kurtis Patterson pulls for four - the first runs of his innings.

The Australian checks a drive to end the over and fortunately for him, it doesn't carry to cover.

  9. NORTHAMPTONSHIRE DECLAREpublished at 11:51 British Summer Time 26 May

    Northants 259-6 dec v Gloucs (target 350)

And there it is, Northamptonshire have decided to declare.

What an incredible first 45 minutes it's been at Wantage Road.

With the pneultimate ball of the innings, George Bartlett heaves Graeme van Buuren over his head for another massive six and skipper Luke Procter says that's enough and calls the players in.

We will have a short interlude before Gloucestershire return to the field knowing they will have to score 350 runs in less than a day to win this one.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:50 British Summer Time 26 May

Finch b Dal 7 (Kent 181-7, trail by 80 runs)

That is unlucky but another one down for Kent.

Anuj Dal has fired that down leg side but it has clipped Harry Finch's thigh pad as he looks to turn it off his hip.

Somehow, that has redirected back towards his leg stump which seems to defy physics let alone normal luck.

But it is a fourth wicket for Derbyshire inside the first hour and victory is almost in the bag.

  11. 250 runs

250 up for Northantspublished at 11:50 British Summer Time 26 May

    Northants 258-6 (lead 348) v Gloucs

Another heave into the leg side from George Bartlett goes for four and brings the 250 up for Northants.

If our maths is correct, that means the seven-wicket partnership is worth 43 runs in just five overs.

Reverse sweeps, attempted reverse scoops, sixes, fours, wickets - it's had the feel of a T20 match this one this morning.

The question is - when will the hosts decide to declare?

  12. Postpublished at 21 overs

    Surrey 76-1 (target 418) - v Essex

Wicket maiden for Simon Harmer - and he almost had a second as well when Kurtis Patterson tried to take hit bat out of the way but the ball caught the inside edge. He was saved from playing on by his rear leg.

  13. Postpublished at 11:45 British Summer Time 26 May

    Yorks 159 & 190-5 (target 463) v Notts 228 & 393-8d

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

The Yorkshire super optimists are talking about rain falling at about 3 or 4 o'clock, if they can survive until then.

In that case it would be a triumph for Yorkshire.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:45 British Summer Time 26 May

    Burns st Pepper b Harmer 39 (Surrey 77-1 - target 418 - v Essex)

    Simon HarmerImage source, Getty Images

The man with the golden arm.

Turn and bounce for Simon Harmer as Rory Burns attempts to give him the charge and it's a great stumping by Michael Pepper, who gathers the ball up by his left shoulder.

Kurtis Patterson comes out at number three for Surrey. Another left-hander for Harmer to prey on.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:44 British Summer Time 26 May

    Leaning c sub b Reece 22 (Kent 181-6, trail by 80 runs)

Jack Leaning drives Luis Reece straight and substitute fielder Nick Potts takes a great tumbling catch, diving forward and to his left at mid off.

  16. Postpublished at 19.1 overs

    Surrey 75-0 (target 418) v Essex

    Kasun RajithaImage source, Getty Images

The first one of the day that has 'done a bit'.

Kasun Rajitha beats Rory Burns with an absolute beauty at the start of his second over.

Essex will want to see more of that.

  17. Postpublished at 11:40 British Summer Time 26 May

    Surrey 75-0 (target 418) v Essex

Having 'done' Dom Sibley in the flight earlier in the over, Simon Harmer gives one some air but it's too full and the Surrey opener hammers it straight back down the pitch and away for four.

  18. Ouch!published at 11:40 British Summer Time 26 May

    Yorks 159 & 190-5 (target 463) v Notts 228 & 393-8d

Bit of a break in play as Matthew Revis gets treatment for a hit on his right hand after taking a rising ball from Brett Hutton.

The glove is off and he is shaking it and wincing in pain as he does so. The physio is on to ask a few questions and bend a few fingers.

He seems alright now and he is ready to face another from Hutton which, predictably, is a short one which he ducks.

  19. Postpublished at 11:35 British Summer Time 26 May

    Surrey 70-0 (target 418) v Essex

Just a couple from Simon Harmer's first over.

It's a double change by Essex as Kasun Rajitha - their most effective bowler in the first innings - takes up the attack.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:33 British Summer Time 26 May

    D'Oliveira c Bamber b Rushworth 3 (Worcs 76-5, target 327)

Another wicket for Warwickshire but Brett D'Oliveira - what were you thinking?

It is probably the worst ball of the day so far from the terrific Chris Rushworth.

It is going well down leg and D'Oliveira glances in the air straight to Ethan Bamber at long leg who takes a comfortable grab.

Of all the ways to get out on this unpredictable pitch, that is the last of them.
