  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 47.4 overs

    Foakes c Pepper b Porter 7 (Surrey 167-4 - target 418 - v Essex)

Jamie Porter tempts Ben Foakes into pushing forward at one wide of off stump and keeper Michael Pepper swoops to take a good catch.

Jason Roy comes out at number six on a pair.

  2. Postpublished at 14:21 British Summer Time 26 May

    Yorks 159 & 262-7 (target 463) v Notts 228 & 393-8d

The flags around the ground look like they do on the moon landings, whipped straight out from the pole and held square by a fierce wind at Headingley.

But the groundstaff are apparently confident that the clouds will not deliver any serious amounts of rain, if they do at all, until 5pm.

Notts are being frustrated by Dom Bess and Jordan Thompson but have switched back to spin and Liam Patterson-White who has delivered 3-34 so far.

He gets an edge which flies for four off Thompson's bat first ball but no joy from the rest of the deliveries.

  3. Postpublished at 14:21 British Summer Time 26 May

    Worcs 180-8 (target 327) v Warwicks

Worcestershire's Matthew Waite (43 not out) and Tom Taylor (10 not out) have dug in nicely over the past 20 minutes or so.

Warwickshire captain Alex Davies has been nagging to the umpire about the ball for a while and it looks like he has a point.

The ball is changed, as has the bowling attack, with Ethan Bamber replacing Chris Rushworth.

  4. Postpublished at 45 overs

    Surrey 161-3 (target 418) v Essex

    Sam CurranImage source, Rex Features

Sam Curran on-drives the first ball of a new Simon Harmer over for four.

He is tempted by a wider one at the end of it and adds four more to third man - it looked like he hit it into the floor rather than edged it past first slip.

Essex won't mind, though, if he keeps going for his shots against the spinner.

  5. 50 partnership for Gloucestershirepublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 26 May

    Northants v Gloucs 86-2 (target 327)

A single from Miles Hammond, who moves on to 38 not out off 41 balls, brings up a 50 partnership with Cameron Bancroft.

As we previously mentioned, these two have steadied the ship for Gloucestershire among difficult conditions and now look set at the crease.

  6. Postpublished at 14:07 British Summer Time 26 May

    Worcs 171-8 (target 327) v Warwicks

A rare stray ball down the leg side from Chris Woakes is seized upon by number 10 batsman Tom Taylor who rather expertly clips off his pads for four runs.

  7. Postpublished at 43.5 overs

    Surrey 152-3 (Target 418) v Essex

Jamie Porter is really bustling in now with a lot more purpose than he did first thing this morning.

He just misses off stump as Ben Foakes offers no shot before the England wicketkeeper pushes him away for a single

The total reaches 150 as Sam Curran drives on the up for four.

  8. Postpublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 26 May

    Northants v Gloucs 78-2 (target 350)

Since lunch, Gloucestershire have batted rather assuredly, picking up runs on offer wherever they can.

Number four batsman Miles Hammond is 33 not out while opener Cameron Bancroft is going at a slightly slower rate of 30 not out.

  9. Postpublished at 41.3 overs

    Surrey 147-3 (target 418) v Essex

Jamie Porter finds the edge of Ben Foakes' bat but it runs away past second slip for four. Not a chance, it was all along the floor.

There are 58 overs remaining following the completion of this one.

  10. wicket

    Patterson b Porter 40 (Surrey 143-3 - target 418 - v Essex)

    Jamie PorterImage source, Getty Images

    What a boost for Essex.

Jamie Porter's first ball after lunch cuts back off the seam and Kurtis Patterson's bottom hand comes off the handle as he tries to drive and it bowls him through the gate.

Ben Foakes comes out to join Sam Curran.

  11. Postpublished at 13:52 British Summer Time 26 May

    Yorks 246-7, target 463

    David Lloyd
    Former England player and coach

Thompson is eager to get off the mark.

The change of angle from Pennington now going around, having started over is making it more challenging for him.

  12. Postpublished at 13:50 British Summer Time 26 May

    Surrey 142-2 (target 418) v Essex

The players are heading out to the middle following the rain delay.

Simon Harmer is set to continue a spell which has brought him 2-29 from 12 overs so far.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:50 British Summer Time 26 May

    Revis c Verreynne b Pennington 45 (Yorks 244-7, target 463)

Dillon Pennington strikes with his first ball of the afternoon session as Matthew Revis hangs a bat outside off stump and nicks it.

Chances are that before the break Revis might well have left that. He certainly did not need to play it.

But lunch/tea often breaks the concentration of batters while refreshing and focussing the thoughts of bowlers and Revis has been caught in the middle of the Venn diagram.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:49 British Summer Time 26 May

    Allison c Smith b Woakes 5 (Worcs 161-8, target 327)

Chris Woakes has done it again - he has six in the match now.

Perfect line and length again from the England man and it catches the outside of Ben Allison's edge.

It's the simplest of tasks for Kai Smith behind the stumps and Worcestershire are staring down the barrel now.

Just two more needed for Warwickshire.

  15. 6 runs

Postpublished at 13:48 British Summer Time 26 May

    Northants v Gloucs 64-2 (target 350)

First ball of the second session from Calvin Harrison is a wide full toss and it's given the treatment by Miles Hammond for four.

Two balls later, Hammond goes down the track and fires over Harrison for a huge maximum.

We're currently in the process of trying to find where that one ended up.

As we mentioned earlier, it's Women's T20 County Cup Finals Day at Taunton today.

Surrey have won the first semi-final, beating the Bears by three wickets with two balls to spare after being set a target of 134 to win.

The Blaze play Lancashire Thunder in the second game at 14:30, with the final taking place from 18:45.

  17. Slight delay at The Ovalpublished at 13:44 British Summer Time 26 May

    Surrey 142-2 (target 418) v Essex

We hade a very brief stoppage during the morning session, but the rain returned over lunch at The Oval.

It's stopped now and the covers have been pulled off but there is a huge dark cloud at the Pavilion End.

In theory, there are 63 overs left for Surrey to score another 276 runs, a rate of 4.38 an over.

Kurtis Patterson and Sam Curran are the not out batters.

  18. Play resumes at New Roadpublished at 13:44 British Summer Time 26 May

    Worcs 159-7 (target 327) v Warwicks

After a little bit of rain at lunch, play is back underway at Worcestershire.

Chris Rushworth gets us underway with his 14th over of the innings.

  19. Play resumes at Northantspublished at 13:42 British Summer Time 26 May

    Northants v Gloucs 54-2 (target 350)

The players are back on the field and play is about to resume at Wantage Road.

Northamptonshire captain Luke Procter will bowl the first ball of the second session.
