  1. Covers coming back on at New Roadpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 26 May

    Worcs 181-8 (target 327) v Warwicks

Despite hopes of getting the players back on at 15:30 BST with an early tea, the covers are coming back on at Worcestershire and we are still some way away from play resuming in the Pears v Bears derby.

How frustrating that must be for the Warwickshire players in the visiting dressing room at New Road right now, with just two wickets needed to wrap up the match.

He's dropped, but had he been half a pace closer he might have caught that.

  3. Close!published at 15:33 British Summer Time 26 May

    Yorks 159 & 298-9 (target 463) v Notts 228 & 393-8d

Dillon Pennington finds the edge of Jack White's bat but it just falls short of Liam Patterson-White at first slip.

  4. Brighter at The Ovalpublished at 58.2 overs

    Surrey 201-5 (target 418) v Essex

The covers have been removed while the players take tea.

Barring another squall, we should be under way again at 15:40 BST.

There are now 36.4 overs remaining. That would be about six an over were Surrey still minded to chase the win.

  5. Big shout!published at 15:31 British Summer Time 26 May

    Yorks 159 & 297-9 (target 463) v Notts 228 & 393-8d

Liam Patterson-White has an lbw shout against Jordan Thompson (19) after the all-rounder's defensive push is beaten... but it looks to be doing too much.

Will that drop of Jack White by Freddie McCann off the same bowler when the Yorkshire man had four haunt Notts?

Notts have successfully kept No 11 White on strike and are bringing back Dillon Pennington to rough him up with a bit of added pace.

Mo Abbas has bowled 26 overs but I think Liam Patterson-White the spinner here is the key, he has bowled 29 overs but Freddie McCann is going to bowl some more.

  7. Postpublished at 15:28 British Summer Time 26 May

    Northants v Gloucs 158-3 (target 350)

A glorious cut shot from Miles Hammond which thrashes past point for four superb runs.

That is a statement of intent from Gloucestershire's number four.

150 up for Gloucestershirepublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 26 May

    Northants v Gloucs 150-3 (target 350)

Cam Green turns a single around the corner to put 150 on the board for Gloucestershire.

That means the visitors are exactly 200 runs short of their target now.

We have already had one result today with Derbyshire defeating Kent by an innings and 14 runs at the County Ground.

Head of cricket Mickey Arthur described their performance as "outstanding" and they are second in the Division Two table behind Leicestershire.

"I thought they did a fantastic job, from ball one we were on it. We threw the first punch and got big runs and Kent were the team who played under pressure for the game," the South African said.

"We are still very much in that progressive phase but I'm really liking what I'm seeing and the attitude, the belief and the confidence that is coming out of the dressing room now is no end so I'm very, very happy."

    David Lloyd
    Former England player and coach

The observation at Old Trafford is that you are playing on a test match wicket so need sheer pace and wrist spin to get 20 wickets.

It's just not working for Lancs at the minute, the Annual General Meeting is on Friday - that will be lively!

  12. Early tea at New Roadpublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 26 May

    Worcs 181 & 181-8 v Warwicks 227 & 280

They went off for bad light and then rain just before 14:30 BST at New Road. The umpires have now ordered an early tea to be taken in the hope that play can resume at 15:30.

Matthew Waite (44) and Tom Taylor (10) are the not out Worcestershire batters - but it is Warwickshire who will be the team itching to get back out there with just two wickets needed to win.

  13. Play resumes at Northantspublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 26 May

    Northants v Gloucs (138-3, target 350)

Less than a minute after the umpires called the players off at Wantage Road, and before the players even had time to leave the field, the players ae back on and play resumes.

Miles Hammond, with his second ball back at the crease, turns a couple into the off side.

  14. Postpublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 26 May

Seven men crowding the bat with three either side of wicketkeeper Kyle Verreynne as Liam Patterson-White now tries to break this partnership.

No way through Jack White's resolute defences and whatever happens now Yorkshire have been gritty today.

Mo Abbas, still without a wicket in this innings, gets his chance now.

There is plenty of women's T20 cricket going on today.

England are 54-2 in the 10th over as they look to make it 3-0 in their series against West Indies.

in the T20 County Cup at Taunton, The Blaze are 48-3 after nine against Lancashire Thunder - the winners to play Surrey in this evening's final.

  16. Play resumes at Northantspublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 26 May

    Northants v Gloucs 134-3 (target 350)

Well, that has to be one of the shortest delays in the history of cricket.

  17. It's raining at Headingley...published at 15:06 British Summer Time 26 May

WICKETpublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 26 May

    Bancroft c McManus b Guthrie 60 (Northants v Gloucs 133-3, target 350)

There's the breakthrough - what a huge wicket for Northamptonshire!

With the final ball of the over, Liam Guthrie bangs in a short one to Cameron Bancroft who goes after it but ends up gloving behind to Lewis McManus.

Diving far to his left two-handed, McManus takes a wonderful take behind the stumps.

Outstanding from the wicketkeeper - Superman eat your heart out!

Next man in for Gloucestershire, Bancroft's fellow western Australian Cameron Green.
