  7. 'Notts are gifting runs'published at 14:14 British Summer Time 18 May

    Durham 482-5 v Notts 407

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

39 runs from eight overs definitely shows some intent now.

Clark and Robinson are getting a gallop on and their partnership is building.

Notts have been spot on in the field in most of the innings, but there's been a few mis-fields since lunch.

Notts are just gifting them runs and opportunities.

It's an important innings this for the Bears.

Someone is going to have to go to three figures, the batting conditions haven't been the best.

Fynn Hudson-Prentice inside edges one off Tom Lammonby and it flies past wicketkeeper James Rew and crashes into the helmet sat behind him for the short-leg and silly point fielders.

That's a five-run penalty for hitting the helmet and a welcome boost for the visitors.

It's interesting, Somerset have got Pretorius, Overton and Henry who haven't bowled yet.

Maybe they're just trying something different, but it's very interesting.
