  1. 'A nice innings from Smith'published at 12:16 British Summer Time 18 May

    Surrey 445-8 v Yorkshire 255

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

Good delivery, it swung late at Nathan Smith - it looked as though he was playing a nice defensive shot.

A nice innings from Smith, the partnership was worth 94.

Nicely bowled by George Hill, that's 14 wickets in the last two games.

FIVE WICKET HAUL FOR HILLpublished at 12:14 British Summer Time 18 May

    Smith lbw b Hill 42 (Surrey 445-8 v Yorkshire 255)

Yorkshire finally have their first wicket of the day and that's number five of the innings for George Hill!

It's full and straight from Hill and it catches out Nathan Smith, trapping him plumb in front.

A wonderful innings by Smith from number nine, who forced the visitors to wait an hour and 15 minutes for the breakthrough today.

  3. 100 up for Worcs - lead by 300published at 12:12 British Summer Time 18 May

    Worcs 358 & 100-8 v Essex 157

Ethan Brookes and Matthew Waite have guided Worcs to a lead of 300 runs.

It looked like the Pears might get skittled when they lost three very quick wickets early on but these two have been able to hang around for a bit longer to frustrate Essex.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:11 British Summer Time 18 May

    Latham c Brown b Abbott 0 (Warwicks 10-2- target 310)

HUGE wicket. Kyle Abbott is on fire and the Bears are in trouble.

Classic Abbott who angles the ball in, inviting Tom Latham onto the front foot.

It pitches, straightens and takes the edge through to Ben Brown.

The New Zealander is capable of a big innings. But not now.

    Sam Hain joins Alex Davies.

  5. Durham have Notts in their sightspublished at 12:10 British Summer Time 18 May

    Durham 372-4 v Notts

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Ollie Robinson and Emilio Gay have added 94 runs so far for Durham's fifth wicket.

Robinson got to his half-century a little earlier but could have been out moments later. A short ball from Rob Lord seemed to hold up in the track and Robinson was through the shot too early.

It was heart-in-the-mouth stuff as the ball arched towards the covers, but thankfully for him it was just out of reach of Liam Patterson-White.

The deficit is now 35 runs and that should be wiped out well before lunch. Robinson has 56 and Gay 94.

  6. Morley continues on his waypublished at 12:09 British Summer Time 18 May

    Lancs 458 v Derbys 112-4

Jack Morley squirts a fortunate boundary down to third man off Tom Bailey to move to 32 and eclipse his previous highest first-class score.

Invaluable runs from the nightwatchman who has soaked up 69 balls.

    Just what Derbyshire need.

    Warks 194 & 10-1 v Hampshire 300 & 203

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

Hampshire will have hoped to have scored a few more runs than the 44 they added before they were bowled out.

The pitch here at Edgbaston has helped the seamers throughout although in periods rather than consistently.

The heavy roller has been on the wicket before the home sides chase.

Will it have an effect? If it does the 310 target may be a few runs short. If not, its more than a handy lead.

    Somerset 338 v Sussex 152 & 179-6 f/o - trail by 7 runs

John Simpson with another wonderful drive for four, this time off Migael Pretorius, to move onto 19.

  9. Postpublished at 12:06 British Summer Time 18 May

    Warwicks 10-1 - target 310

Alex Davies is quickly into his work as he takes Brad Wheal's opening two balls for back-to-back boundaries.

The runs required is down to a round 300.

  10. 'Abbott cream of the crop'published at 12:06 British Summer Time 18 May

    Warwicks 194 & 10-1 v Hants 300 & 203

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

We've had spells of this game where nothing has happened, then suddenly we've had lots of wickets fall.

Abbott has been cream of the crop so far this game.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:03 British Summer Time 18 May

    Yates b Abbott 2 (Warwicks 2-1 - target 310)

    And that didn't take long.

Kyle Abbott is in around the wicket to Rob Yates who gets off the mark with a couple to his second ball but then is cleaned up two balls later!

The South African angles one in which beats Yates' defensive push and takes the top of off-stump. Poor shot, playing inside the line.

Tom Latham is in early to join Alex Davies.

  12. Division Two updatepublished at 12:03 British Summer Time 18 May

Kent have finally managed to break Gloucestershire's Cameron Green/James Bracey partnership that was worth a whopping 222.

It's the former who has departed for a well-made 128 with the latter is now just five runs short of a century.

One brought two for Kent as Graeme van Buuren went for a duck soon after Green to leave Glos on 372-6 - 52 runs behind Kent.

Glamorgan have their first wicket of the day with Timm van der Gugten dismissing James Sales for 35.

Northants are 102-4 in their second innings and still trail by 137.

  14. 'No real pace in the pitch'published at 12:00 British Summer Time 18 May

    Somerset 338 v Sussex 152 & 173-6 f/o

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Any early life in this pitch seems to be melting away.

There may be a requirement to bring some spin in, to see what Leach can do.

Neither of these batsmen have looked in much trouble in the last half hour.

There's no real pace in this pitch, it's reached the stage where Somerset need to keep plugging away and hope mistakes are made.

  15. Postpublished at 12:00 British Summer Time 18 May

    Durham 365-4 v Notts 407

The 110th over is done and Durham will settle for six bonus points after adding three with the bat.

Notts have picked up just one bowling point to add to their four with the bat.

A painful one for Surrey's Jordan Clark as Yorkshire bowler George Hill gets one to nip back between bat and front leg and it clatters into Clark where he'd rather it didn't...

Clark slumps to the ground before eventually clambering back to his feet and laughing it off.

    On we go...

Ollie Robinson had a tough start to the season with the bat, but brings up back-to-back fifties after making 76 against Hampshire in his previous knock.

It's his 26th first-class half-century and comes off a well-paced 75 balls, swivelling to guide Rob Lord down to the fine leg boundary.
