  1. 'A fascinatingly poised game'published at 11:53 British Summer Time 18 May

    Warwicks 194 v Hants 300 & 203

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

What Hampshire do have up their sleeve is one of the best bowlers in Kyle Abbott, but what will the surface do?

It's a straight combat now, there's no time limit for Warwickshire, we will have another 180 overs of cricket to play.

    A fascinatingly poised game here.

  2. Postpublished at 11:52 British Summer Time 18 May

    Surrey 427-7 v Yorkshire 255

Yorkshire skipper Jonny Bairstow took a blow to the end of his finger while behind the stumps yesterday.

Jonny Tattersall donned the gloves after tea on Saturday and he has them on again this morning. Bairstow is out in the field, though.

A bit of a headscratcher for the ex-England man as to how they get through this impressive Surrey batting line-up.

  3. HAMPSHIRE ALL OUT FOR 203published at 11:51 British Summer Time 18 May

    Turner c Davies b Webster 0 (Warwicks 194 v Hants 300 & 203 - lead by 309)

Great stuff from the Bears who will have to chase down 310 to win.

John Turner tries to lift his bat out of the way but gets a feather through to Alex Davies.

It gives Beau Webster his second wicket in three balls and a four-wicket haul.

It sets things up beautifully. Game on.

    Albert c Davies b Webster 43 (Warwicks 194 v Hants 300 & 203-9 - lead by 309)

Toby Albert falls short of a half-century as he reaches to a wide Beau Webster ball outside off stump.

Didn't need to play it and he'll be wondering why he did as he edges through to Bears wicketkeeper Alex Davies.

John Turner joins Kyle Abbott who has rode his luck for a 19-ball 25.

  5. Postpublished at 11:46 British Summer Time 18 May

    Lancs 458 v Derbys 141-4

James Anderson is again kept to five overs and is replaced by Tom Bailey.

Jack Morley gets a thick edge as he looks to drive but gets a boundary.

Two more singles move him to 24 and within four of his first-class best knock.

  6. Postpublished at 11:46 British Summer Time 18 May

    Surrey 426-7 v Yorkshire 255

George Hill bowled brilliantly for Yorkshire yesterday and he's brought into the attack.

His first ball is drilled back down the ground for four by Nathan Smith though.

Smith's skill and technique for a number nine is ridiculous. He averages about 26 with the bat in first class matches.

  7. Postpublished at 11:43 British Summer Time 18 May

    Lancs 458 v Derbys 112-4

Is James Anderson getting a bit frustrated by the nightwatchman?

He changes to over the wicket with his second ball to Jack Morley and then back to around the wicket two balls later.

He angles one in to the left-hander who defends it well enough. Another defensive push through mid-on gives Morley a single. He ticks over to 15.

Tom Hartley is in and lets out a big shout as he slides one past Morley's defensive prod. Wicketkeeper Matty Hurst is also very interested as he pouches the ball. The umpire is not.

Morley picks up a couple more and another single to go to 18.

  8. Postpublished at 11:42 British Summer Time 18 May

    Somerset 338 v Sussex 152 & 154-6 f/o

Just a few signs of faint hope and promise for Sussex as James Coles plays a nice cover drive off Craig Overton for two.

If Coles and Simpson can get in and stay in, they might just be able to frustrate Somerset for a bit.

The next major target is just to get into the lead. Another 32 needed to draw level.

  9. 150 runs

150 up for Sussexpublished at 11:40 British Summer Time 18 May

    Somerset 338 v Sussex 152 & 152-6 f/o

It's probably barely a crumb of comfort at this point... but Sussex have reached the 150 mark and matched their first innings score.

    They're still 34 runs behind.

Sam Robson takes a single and Middlesex are now into the lead against Leicestershire. As you were for now then and this becomes a one innings shootout from here.

    Singh lbw Harmer 7 (Worcs 358 & 80-8 v Essex 157) - Worcs lead by 283

    Harmer has a fourth!

Barely half an hour into play and Essex have taken three wickets.

Supporters at New Road have certainly got their money's worth in this match - some this morning might not even have arrived yet though and they've missed a lot of action!

Harmer has 4-14 from his 11 overs.

  12. Postpublished at 11:36 British Summer Time 18 May

    Surrey 415-7 v Yorkshire 255

Yorkshire would have wanted an early wicket or two this morning. Nearly 40 minutes into the day and they haven't had one yet.

Some glimmers of hope as the ball is doing a bit off the surface for Ben Coad and Jack White at the moment, but Surrey continue to build a commanding lead. The hosts are now 160 ahead.

  13. Postpublished at 11:33 British Summer Time 18 May

    Lancs 458 v Derbys 131-4

Jack Morley sways out of the way of a short ball from James Anderson who got the wicket of David Lloyd yesterday with the same tactic.

The nightwatchman nudges the next ball into the legside for a single to go to 14 off 38 balls.

Brooke Guest is happy to work the fourth ball off his pads for a single and give Morley two balls to survive.

Anderson sends the first of them past Morley's outside edge before the batter gets up on his toes to play the next ball safely into the ground.

First change of the day as Tom Hartley comes on for Anderson Phillips.

So far so good for Derbyshire.

    D'Oliveira c Rajitha b Harmer 4 (Worcs 358 & 58-7 v Essex 157)

Another one down. The Pears skipper departs after five balls.

Brett D'Oliveira tries a reverse sweep but picks out the fielder... and there's more.

  15. Postpublished at 11:32 British Summer Time 18 May

    Somerset 338 v Sussex 152 & 145-6 f/o

If there is one man who could get in and get runs for Sussex, it's skipper John Simpson.

Craig Overton's first loose delivery of the morning, wide of the off peg, is cut away for four by Simpson.

Sussex's captain is up there among the leading run scorers in Division One this season and already has a 50 and two 100s to his name.

How his side could use him getting another today.

  16. 'It's relentless from Somerset'published at 11:29 British Summer Time 18 May

    Somerset 338 v Sussex 152 & 139-6 f/o

    Mark Davis
Former Somerset seamer on BBC Radio Somerset

Indication with the wicket that the ball isn't moving as much, but Somerset have got those early wickets - There's no letup.

Coles and Simpson are struggling, it's relentless from Somerset.

On a flat wicket, the bowler's are still getting it through, runs are really hard to come by for Sussex.

If they break this partnership now, it won't be long before they're bowled out.

    Fuller b Bamber 2 (Warwicks 194 v Hants 300 & 171-8 - lead by 277)

    Now that was agricultural.

James Fuller takes a big step down the pitch to Ethan Bamber and almighty swipe, eyeing up a maximum.

Instead it takes a thick bottom edge on to the middle stump which is sent cartwheeling out of the ground.

Strange shot to your fifth ball.

    Kyle Abbott joins Toby Albert.

  18. Postpublished at 11:26 British Summer Time 18 May

    Middlesex 232 & 34-0 v Leics 274

A solid start to the morning for Middlesex's openers Sam Robson and Max Holden. The hosts have moved onto 34-0 and now trail Leicestershire by just eight runs.

Very much in the balance at Lord's at the moment.

Cameron Green and James Bracey have picked up where they left off last night and their partnership is now worth 200.

Green is on 124 and Bracey is approaching a century of his own on 90.

Glos are only 73 behind Kent now.

  20. Postpublished at 11:25 British Summer Time 18 May

    Lancs 458 v Derbys 123-4

Anderson Phillips is steaming in sends down another tidy maiden as Jack Morley continues to hang around.

James Anderson gets one to nips back quite sharply, through the gate and into the midriff of Brooke Guest (21) who drives the next ball down the ground for a single.

Morley tries his best to get out of the way of a lifting delivery but inadvertently glances it down to the fine leg boundary for four to double his score.
