  1. Division Two latestpublished at 16:23 British Summer Time 31 July

Lancashire have already lost a wicket as they chase an improbable 473 to beat Glamorgan. James Harris had Phil Salt caught at slip for a single and the hosts are now 14-1 at Old Trafford.

The umpires plan to inspect things at Canterbury in about five minutes time - they've only had a few overs there today with plenty of heavy showers rolling through.

Northants have just lost an eighth wicket against Derbyshire but they're superbly placed on 517-8 with a lead of 140.

  2. 'He won't be done yet'published at 16:17 British Summer Time 31 July

    Notts 403-4 v Somerset 438

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

A magnificent shot to reach the landmark.

A glorious moment for the Notts skipper, he won't be done yet.

  3. 200 runs

    Notts 399-4 v Somerset 438

A single off Jake Ball takes Haseeb Hameed to 199 and he keeps the strike.

He then advances at Archie Vaughan and whacks him past deep cover for four!

He goes to a third double-century of his career, and second this season.

380 balls, 23 fours and two sixes.

Notts trail by just 39 now.

  4. Surrey need 98 to winpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 31 July

    Durham v Surrey 78-1 - target 176

As Mark Church says, Surrey have the target down into double figures now.

Rory Burns anchoring the chase on 14 from 47 balls, allowing first Dom Sibley and now Ryan Patel to chivvy things along.

Patel adds a fourth boundary with a short-arm pull off Matty Potts over midwicket.

  5. Play at New Roadpublished at 16:10 British Summer Time 31 July

    Worcs 249 v Hants 293 and 6-0

They are back on at Worcester with Joe Weatherley getting the Hants second innings under way by clipping Shahzad Khurram for a boundary in the first over.

  6. 'Target is below 100'published at 16:10 British Summer Time 31 July

    Durham v Surrey 77-1 (target 176)

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

I think that if Surrey get within 50 then they will try and finish it tonight.

It does look like there could be rain at some point and that could curtail their efforts.

    Their target is below 100.

  7. Tea at Scarboroughpublished at 16:08 British Summer Time 31 July

    Yorks 545-9d v Sussex 222 & 29-3

Yorkshire celebrate wicketImage source, Rex Features

Sussex are in a spot of bother as they contemplate the final session after a chaotic opening to their second innings.

It is hard not to feel that they folded under pressure with a needless run out and a first ball exit.

Even Tom Haines' dismissal appeared to come from a scrambled mind after a near run out at the end of the previous over.

For Yorks, tea will taste very nice indeed with Sussex trailing by 294 with just seven wickets remaining.

The prospect of an innings defeat is realistic.

  8. 'Sussex need a minor miracle'published at 16:05 British Summer Time 31 July

    Yorkshire 545-9 dec v Sussex 222 & 29-3

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

A calamitous start for Sussex in their attempt to avoid their second innings defeat in a row.

Tom Haines' indifferent run of form continued when he was caught and bowled, Tom Alsop was brilliantly run out by a direct hit from Iman Ul Haq at cover, after Daniel Hughes had called him for a suicidal single.

But worse was to follow as James Coles flashed at the next delivery to be caught at slip.

With another four sessions to bat Sussex need a minor miracle to escape with a draw, whilst a win for Yorkshire would move them to within one point of Sussex in the table.

  9. Tea at Chelmsfordpublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 31 July

    Essex 602-6d v Warwickshire 313-5

Ed Barnard blocks the last four deliveries of Matt Critchley's over as the match reaches its second break of the day.

Warwickshire have put on 111-3 since lunch but it will be Essex who exit the pitch in better spirits with the visitors still trailing by 289 with five wickets remaining.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time 31 July

    Broad c Donald b Reece 171 (Northants 489-7 v Derbyshire 377)

Justin Broad's career-best knock comes to an end at the hands of Luis Reece.

It could well be a match-winning one.

  11. wicket

WORCS 249 ALL OUTpublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 31 July

    Khurram c Prest b Baker 0 (Worcs 249 v Hants 293)

Jake Libby is left stranded on 100 as Shahzad Khurram fends a rising ball from Sonny Baker to point where Tom Prest takes the catch.

Baker finishes with 5-72 and Worcs are left to scratch their heads as to quite how they have given up eight wickets for 62 runs today.

    They trail by 44 runs.

  12. Durham heading into the bottom twopublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 31 July

Surrey 64-1 need another 112 to beat Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

It's been a long time since Durham last won a Championship game. That was here in May against Notts.

Today they are heading for their fifth defeat of the season - and third at home - as Surrey look set to join Warwickshire and Somerset - the previous winners here.

Judging by the way things are going in Scarborough - and the bonus points picked up in that game - Durham look set to swap second bottom spot with Yorkshire.

Unless there is a sudden rattle of wickets, or a load of rain here, Surrey should wrap this up inside three days. They need another 112 and have 31 overs in which to get them.

Durham haven't just suddenly found themselves in relegation trouble. It's been a long road to this point. Their final three games in September are away to Essex, at home to Worcestershire and away to Yorkshire. There will be a huge amount riding on those results!

  13. 100 runs

100 for Libbypublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 31 July

    Worcs 249-9 v Hants 293

Jake Libby goes aerial but manages to clear fielders and take the two runs to get him to three figures.

A good effort as the innings has crumbled around him.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 31 July

    Finch c Brown b Baker 5 (Worcs 247-9 v Hants 293)

Another good ball from Sonny Baker and particularly to send down to a tailender, angled in, straightening and taking the edge.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 31 July

    Coles c Sutherland b Milnes 0 (Yorks 5459d v Sussex 222 & 20-3)

Two in two for Yorks who are understandably cock-a-hoop.

James Coles swipes at his first ball and gets a thick edge which flies to Will Sutherland at gully.

  16. Tea at Trent Bridgepublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 31 July

    Notts 387-4 v Somerset 438

Excellent day for Notts so far, led by their captain Haseeb Hameed.

He takes tea 194 not out, the fourth highest score of his career.

Lyndon James with him on 19.

Joe Clarke, for 42 in the morning session, and Jack Haynes, for 70, the only men out today.

  17. Tea at Chester-le-Streetpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 31 July

    Durham v Surrey 64-1 - target 176

Perfect start for Surrey, just losing Dom Sibley and racing to 64-1 in 16 overs.

One more steady stand will break the back of this chase.

Surrey should be able to win tonight with 112 to get in two hours.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 31 July

    Alsop run out 0 (Yorks 545-9d v Sussex 222 & 20-2)

Daniel Hughes nudges to cover and calls for a quick single. Imam-ul-Haq picks up and hurls down the stumps at the strikers' end with Tom Alsop stranded.

Hard to see why Sussex are running quick singles in this situation but minds scramble when the deficit is so large and the opposition's tails are up.

  19. wicket

    Webster c Critchley b Cook 32 (Essex 602-6d v Warwickshire 282-5)

Sam Cook celebrates wicketImage source, Rex Features

This has flown sharply to second slip where Matt Critchley has taken a decent catch.

    Sam Cook has the breakthrough.

  20. 150 for Broad, 100 for Keoghpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 31 July

    Northants 465-6 v Derbyshire 377

The milestones keep on coming for Northants.

Justin Broad reaches his 150 and batting partner Rob Keogh goes to his century.

Their seventh-wicket stand is worth 184, but more importantly Northants' lead is 88.

That didn't look likely when they were 154-5 yesterday.
