  1. Division Two latestpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 31 July

Northants are building a sizeable lead against Derbyshire. A seventh-wicket stand of 138 between Justin Broad (128) and Rob Keogh (79) has taken the hosts to 419-6 and 42 in front.

Talking of sizeable leads, Glamorgan are now 439 ahead of Lancashire at Old Trafford. They're 315-3 with Sam Northeast 130 not out.

Still no play after lunch at Canterbury due to rain, and Gloucestershire v Middlesex has already been abandoned for the day.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 31 July

    Waite c Brown b Fuller 21 (Worcs 223-6 v Hants 293)

This is a very good grab by Ben Brown, diving low to his right to pick it inches off the turf after Matthew Waite edges.

James Fuller has hit the perfect length to draw the drive and the ball has left the pitch and caught the edge.

  3. Surrey need 176published at 14:45 British Summer Time 31 July

    Durham v Surrey 0-0 - target 176

So some work to do for Surrey to win at Chester-le-Street.

But a very manageable chase from what we've seen from this wicket today.

  4. 'It's a heck of an effort'published at 14:43 British Summer Time 31 July

    Durham 153 & 344 v Surrey 322

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

Well bowled Kishore, some outstanding figures so far.

It's a heck of an effort from him.

You look at it as they now have the rest of today and tomorrow to win the game.

  5. wicket

Durham all outpublished at 14:42 British Summer Time 31 July

    Potts c Patel b Sai Kishore 6 (Durham 153 & 344 v Surrey 332)

Sai Kishore floats one up and lures Matty Potts into driving to short extra-cover.

Kishore has 5-72 in 41.4 overs. A great effort.

It leaves Surrey with 176 to win.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 31 July

    Raine lbw Curran 27 (Durham 153 & 244-9 v Surrey 332)

Sam Curran full and straight to Ben Raine who steps across his stumps and misses flicking to leg.

    The lead is 175.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 31 July

    Bess c Simpson b Hudson-Prentice 13 (Yorks 492-8 v Sussex 222)

    That is like catching practice.

Dom Bess tries to ramp Fynn Hudson-Prentice to fine leg area but manages only to scoop it up to John Simpson who moves a yard or two to his left and gratefully takes the catch.

  8. 'He's giving Kishore something to think about'published at 14:23 British Summer Time 31 July

    Durham 153 & 339-8 v Surrey 322

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

This is good from Ben Raine at the moment, Durham need runs.

It's good batting, he's giving Kishore something to think about in the field.

  9. 150 runs

for Haseeb Hameedpublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 31 July

    Notts 307-3 v Somerset 438

The Notts skipper already has a double ton this summer and is on course for another here.

He goes to 150 in 290 balls, 18 fours, two sixes.

  10. Play abandoned at Cheltenham Collegepublished at 14:16 British Summer Time 31 July

    Gloucs 54-1 v Middlesex 445

    That's disappointing.

Heavy overnight and morning rain has left the outfield too damp in Cheltenham, and day three has been called off without a ball bowled.

  11. Back under way at New Roadpublished at 14:14 British Summer Time 31 July

    Worcs 205-5 v Hants 293

James Fuller has Jake Libby in his sights as this delayed match starts the afternoon session half an hour late.

It has been a poor morning for Worcs losing three wickets for 17 runs with Kyle Abbott bowling six overs for a run and Sonny Baker taking 3-5

It was a typically slow one for Libby who added just seven to his overnight score in over an hour but he is out of the blocks already with a single in the first over to move to 78.

  12. 'Durham's lead isn't enough'published at 14:12 British Summer Time 31 July

    Durham 153 & 322-8 v Surrey 322

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Kishore is well on target for a fifer now.

He's clearing up the rest of the order and Durham's lead of 153 isn't enough.

  13. 100 runs

for Northeastpublished at 14:12 British Summer Time 31 July

    Lancs 137 v Glamorgan 262 & 254-3

Sam Northeast is back in the Glamorgan side after four-weeks paternity leave and celebrates with a century.

    It's his 35th in first-class cricket.

The lead is up to 380.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 31 July

    De Leede lbw Kishore 5 (Durham 153 & 322-8 v Surrey 332)

A fourth wicket for Sai Kishore as he traps Bas de Leede lbw with one that slides in last the inside ledge.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:01 British Summer Time 31 July

    Hill c Hughes b Crocombe 75 (Yorks 460-7 v Sussex 222)

George Hill's excellent innings comes to an end in less glorious fashion, Henry Crocombe firing a short one in that he cross bats tamely to Dan Hughes at mid on.

  16. 50 runs

for Bamberpublished at 13:59 British Summer Time 31 July

    Essex 602-6d v Warwickshire 217-4

A flourish of the bat sends the ball racing to the cover/point boundary and Ethan Bamber has a first ever first-class half-century.

Not a bad effort for a batter who would normally be batting 10 or even 11 but arrived at the crease last night as a nightwatchman.

  17. Division Two latestpublished at 13:57 British Summer Time 31 July

There's still no play on day three at Cheltenham College between Gloucestershire and Middlesex, and it's also raining in Canterbury.

Lancashire have picked up a third Glamorgan wicket after lunch, Luke Wells pinning Kiran Carlson lbw for 108, but the visitors are still in control. They're 239-3 and 363 in front.

Northants are just 15 behind Derbyshire having moved to 362-6 in their first innings at Wantage Road.

  18. 'Excellent bowling from Kishore'published at 13:55 British Summer Time 31 July

    Durham 153 & 311-7 v Surrey 322

    Kit Harris
    BBC Sport commentator

    He's edged it there Yusuf.

It was excellent bowling from Kishore.

It just moved away a touch and feathered past the edge, you have to say well batted from Yusuf.

You wouldn't bet against Kishore cleaning up the rest of the innings.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:55 British Summer Time 31 July

    Yusuf c Foakes b Kishore 43 (Durham 153 & 311-7 v Surrey 332)

Nightwatchman Codi Yusuf has done a cracking job, surviving 117 balls and getting through the whole session this morning.

But he falls just after lunch and spin again does the trick for Surrey.

Sai Kishore, left-arm round, get one to spin away from the right-hander off a good length and take a thin edge through to Ben Foakes.

  20. 100 runs

for Broadpublished at 13:49 British Summer Time 31 July

    Northants 350-6 v Derbyshire 377

Justin Broad went to lunch on 99 and in the second over after the interval goes to his hundred.

He came in with Northants wobbling on 154-5, but his second first-class century has now given them a chance of a crucial first-innings lead.

They trail by just 27 with four wickets left and Rob Keogh (40 not out) also looking in good touch.
