  1. 'It's a brave innings'published at 15:36 British Summer Time 31 July

    Durham v Surrey 49-1 (target 176)

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

Sibley looked to drive, but it was a lovely piece of bowling.

It's a brave innings from him, he's clearly struggling there, he couldn't use his feet.

Ackermann won't get a simpler catch.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 31 July

    Sibley c Ackermann b Parkinson 35 (Durham v Surrey 49-1 - target 176)

It's been a brave effort from the injured Dom Sibley but he's finally gone.

Not quite able to react as quickly as he'd like to a ball tossed up from Matt Parkinson. It turns away and takes the edge of his drive to first slip.

A glimmer of hope for Durham.

  3. Postpublished at 15:28 British Summer Time 31 July

    Yorks 545-9d v Sussex 222 & 16-1

A shake of the head from umpire Peter Hartley as Yorks after a huge appeal for a nick behind by Daniel Hughes.

And he is quite right with the ball clearly flicking the top of the pad.

Milnes gets another proper nick next ball which flies low, short and to the left of Finlay Bean at third slip.

    Lively start from Yorks.

  4. Glamorgan declare; Lancs need 473published at 15:28 British Summer Time 31 July

    Lancs 137 v Glamorgan 261 & 348-7 dec

    That's enough for Glamorgan.

They declare with a lead of 472.

Lancashire have four and a bit sessions to pull off a miraculous victory, or try and save the game.

  5. Postpublished at 15:24 British Summer Time 31 July

    Durham v Surrey 40-0 - target 176

Dom Sibley still goes pretty well on one leg.

He flicks a ball too straight from Ben Raine to fine leg for four but then nicks a good one from Codi Yusuf just wide of the solitary slip for another boundary.

Only one catcher trying to defend a small target?

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:21 British Summer Time 31 July

    Haines c & b White 7 (Yorks 545-9d v Sussex 222 & 12-1)

Tom Haines was very nearly run out the ball before when travelling halfway down the wicket only to be sent back by Daniel Hughes who was not quite sure where the ball was.

Dom Bess had picked it up at square leg and hurled it at the non strikers' end with Haines gone for all money. He misses and it goes for four overthrows.

First ball next over Haines gets a leading edge to Jack White and pops up an easy catch. One (confusion and a near miss) led to the other surely.

  7. 'A glimmer for Somerset'published at 15:18 British Summer Time 31 July

    Notts 359-4 v Somerset 438

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

He was furious with himself there Haynes as he left the field.

    A little glimmer for Somerset.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:15 British Summer Time 31 July

    Haynes c Abell b Gregory 70 (Notts 358-4 v Somerset 332)

    Somerset have the breakthrough!

And it's come in identical fashion to the first wicket of the day as this time Jack Haynes chips loosely in the air to be caught low at short midwicket.

A bit of a send off for Haynes who looked round, had a nibble back at the fielders and was waved on his way.

  9. Runner for Sibleypublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 31 July

    Durham v Surrey 30-0 - target 176

Excellent start for Surrey as Dom Sibley guides Matty Potts wide of the slips cordon to third man for four more.

But he's struggling so much he has a runner.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 31 July

    Allison lbw b Abbott 5 (Worcs 236-8 v Hants 293)

Kyle Abbott deserves this and gets a marginal call arrowing across Ben Allison and striking probably just in front of leg stump.

His bowling in the first session was superb, bowling six overs for just one run, so he has worked hard for this first breakthrough.

  11. new ball

New ballpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 31 July

    Essex 602-6d v Warwickshire 269-4

Essex will take the new ball and hope that Jamie Porter can get a tune out of it. Beau Webster is on strike.

  12. 'Durham heading for defeat'published at 15:11 British Summer Time 31 July

    Durham v Surrey 29-0 (target 176)

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

Durham appear to be heading for another defeat unless they can get something going with the ball.

Parkinson is in the attack now and it could be difficult for Sibley to deal with this.

  13. 350 up for Nottspublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 31 July

    Notts 350-3 v Somerset 438

Haseeb Hameed drives Lewis Gregory lavishly out to deep cover for a single to raise 350.

A third batting point on the board for Notts - and that's all they'll get with only an over to go in bonus-point period.

It'll just be the one bowling point for Somerset.

  14. wicket

YORKS 545-9 DECLAREDpublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 31 July

    Milnes c Alsop by Carson 19 (Yorks 545-9d v Sussex 222)

Matthew Revis finished unbeaten on 152Image source, Rex Features

Matt Milnes sweeps right down the throat of Tom Alsop at deep square leg and Dom Bess, on the Yorks balcony, waves them in with a lead of 323.

Matthew Revis walks from the middle unbeaten with 152 and is congratulated by Alsop and Fynn Hudson-Prentice on his way off.

  15. Surrey looking for the winpublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 31 July

    Durham v Surrey 21-0 (target 176)

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham's resistance lasted until 14:30 BST on the third day in CLS.

Surrey are now batting and need 176 runs to win.

There are 46 overs left in which they can try to get them today, otherwise they will have to come back tomorrow.

Sai Kishore did the damage with the ball as he took 5-72, to gain his first Surrey five-for.

It goes without saying Durham need quick wickets here. But if they lose it's likely they will end this round of games in the bottom two. And their next championship match is at Chelmsford, where they have only won once, in 1993!

  16. Postpublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 31 July

    Durham v Surrey 21-0 - target 176

Early boundaries from Rory Burns and Dom Sibley.

Sibley drives Ben Raine through cover point - and then pulls up a little. He may have tweaked something and is looking a fraction uncomfortable.

No such issues for Burns who crashes a slightly wide ball from Matty Potts past cover. Perfect timing.

Sibley then pulls Raine for four more wide of long leg but is then hobbling around and looks in trouble.

  17. 150 runs

150 for Revispublished at 14:57 British Summer Time 31 July

    Yorks 544-8 v Sussex 222

A punch off the back foot through point off Jack Carson brings up 151 for Matthew Revis – his best ever first class score.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 31 July

    Taylor lbw b Gubbins 0 (Worcs 225-7 v Hants 293)

Tom Taylor is undone by the part-time leg spin of Nick Gubbins and Worcs' woes continue.

The hosts were in a position of strength overnight but have lost 5-38 today to put themselves behind the eight ball, still trailing by 68 with just three wickets up.

To be fair to Gubbins, that was not a bad ball, pitching on leg, squaring Taylor up as he looks to flick off his legs then tracking back towards middle.

  19. 100 runs

partnershippublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 31 July

    Notts 334-3 v Somerset 438

This is becoming a very strong reply from Notts as the fourth wicket stand goes past 100.

Captain Haseeb Hameed slices a drive just out of the reach of backward point to raise the century stand and is up to 170.

Jack Haynes, who went past a half-century in 90 balls with five fours, now has 60.

  20. 'Somerset have done their best'published at 14:49 British Summer Time 31 July

    Notts 335-3 v Somerset 438

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

It's a pretty unresponsive ball on a pretty unresponsive pitch.

Somerset have done their best to make something happen.
