It is a must-win for New Zealand so they can get some momentum in their campaign.

They look like a side down in confidence and they look under-prepared as a side.

They are going to really need Kane Williamson to stand up in the middle phase of the innings. It fell apart for them against Afghanistan in that part.

West Indies captain Rovman Powell: "You either bat or you bowl, but if we'd won the toss we would have bowled also.

"The guys come in off the back of a lot of cricket so a little bit of rest can be needed and we've had that because of the inclement weather.

"We want to improve in all three units. There are still things we need to tick as a batting unit and as a bowling unit if we can control the powerplay like we did last game that would be fantastic."

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson: "There are a few unknown with the surfaces so we want to make first use of it with the ball.

"There has been a bit of weather around but that is part and parcel. There were plenty of learnings to take from the first game.

"We want to do the things that give us the best chance and show who we are.

"The changes are because new venue, new team."

Kane Williamson called correctly at the toss and New Zealand will bowl first.

He also confirmed three changes to the side with Tim Southee, Jimmy Neesham and Rachin Ravindra coming in.

Rovman Powell says he'd have bowled first, too. West Indies are unchanged.

Group C is the only one where nothing has been decided so far.

That could change in this game though.

If co-hosts West Indies continue their 100% start they'll join India, Australia and South Africa in the Super 8s.

New Zealand won't be out with a defeat, but it will be out of their hands and they could be eliminated on Friday if Afghanistan beat Papua New Guinea.

Realistically, the Kiwis could do with a win.
