  1. 6 runs

    WI 118-9published at 18.2 overs

    I mean, fair call.

A slower ball, half-tracker from Daryl Mitchell and Sherfane Rutherford just powers it back over his head for six more.

    Lovely shot.

  2. WI 112-9published at 18.1 overs

Sherfane Rutherford turns down a single.

    My favourite type of cricket.

    Ah, not spin.

It's the medium pace of Daryl Mitchell for the first time in the innings.

It is not often that you see a fast bowler look almost apologetic to get a batter out.

But this wicket is no good. That has rolled along the deck.

  5. WI 112-9published at 18 overs

Outstanding stuff from Trent Boult. He finishes with 3-16 from his four overs.

Two overs left and it is going to have to be spin. Will it Mitchell Santner or Glenn Phillips first?

That was way too good for Alzarri Joseph.

Lovely bowling and it has sucked the enthusiasm out of the stadium.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 03:06 British Summer Time 13 June

    Joseph b Boult 6 (WI 112-9)

    Bowled 'im!

Trent Boult, round the wicket, gets one to keep a little bit low and it goes between Alzarri Joseph's bat and pad and hits the outside of off stump.

Kane Williamson's gamble to use up his pace bowlers' allocation pays off.

Very welcome boundary. Alzarri Joseph was able to get just enough on it and the ball raced away from Tim Southee.

  9. WI 112-8published at 17.2 overs

    Helpful runs.

It's a slower ball from Trent Boult, but it is off line and Alzarri Joseph just tickles it between Devon Conway and short fine leg and away to the fence.

Quite typically of this innings, every time a pair get together and look like they're building a bit of momentum, New Zealand nip that wicket away.

That good length area, especially when Lockie Ferguson has looked to bang it in there and not try to swing it, has been a bit up and down.

  12. WI 107-8published at 17 overs

Four singles from the rest of the over and Lockie Ferguson, on his 33rd birthday, finishes with 2-27.

Surely West Indies just have to find a way to get through the remaining 18 balls of the innings now? That would give them something to bowl at you would think.

It wasn't a very clever shot.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.2 overs

    Shepherd lbw b Ferguson 13 (WI 103-8)

    Smashing into middle stump.

It was a bit of a hack from Romario Shepherd, who was just beaten for pace by Lockie Ferguson.

He knew he was out too. He was stood on the boundary rope ready to hop off by the time the decision was on the big screen.

He's reviewed it but, at first glance, it looked like Romario Shepherd was in trouble.

  16. West Indies reviewpublished at 16.2 overs

    Out!

Lockie Ferguson cannons one into the pad of Romario Shepherd.

    It's a pretty half-hearted review from Sheperd.

The West Indies have made a reasonable recovery here and it has been a very impressive innings from Sherfane Rutherford so far.

  18. Postpublished at 02:58 British Summer Time 13 June

Lockie Ferguson returns for New Zealand. Kane Williamson wants this done.

After this Ferguson over, there's only one more over of pace left, in the shape of Trent Boult.

NZ may have to close out the innings with the spin of Mitchell Santner or Glenn Phillips.

  19. WI 103-7published at 16 overs

Sherfane Rutherford has played nicely. He's shown the most composure and cricket smarts of the Windies batters. He's up to 28 off 24 balls.

Jimmy Neesham is done with the ball. His four overs see him finish with 1-27.

Rutherford is playing a little gem here.
