It feels like this is going to be a deep game and go all the way.

  2. NZ 26-1published at 4.2 overs

Akeal Hosein continues into his third over and we're already starting to see some dew forming.

That tends to favour the batting side and could also be why Rovman Powell is getting his spinner's overs in early.

It is important that the West Indies just turn the screws on Rachin Ravindra. They might force a mistake out of him then.

  4. NZ 25-1published at 4 overs

Very good comeback from Andre Russell after that boundary first up.

Just one from the next five balls and Rachin Ravindra very nearly pops the last up to the man at short cover.

That was a proper old-school loosener from Andre Russell.

  6. NZ 24-1published at 3.1 overs

A wicket down for New Zealand but Finn Allen is still going strong.

He greets Andre Russell's first ball - a bit of a long hop, really - with a swivel pull for four.

That will ease some nerves in the West Indies team, it is a welcome wicket.

It's not the best option from Devon Conway on this wicket.

    West Indies needed that!

Another arm ball from Akeal Hosein and this one does the trick.

Devon Conway went for a paddle sweep, the ball bounced more than he anticipated and a top-edge loops up kindly for Roston Chase at short fine leg.

So far so good from New Zealand's point of view.

    Effortless!

Finn Allen clears the ropes as he sees the arm ball from Akeal Hosein and hits with the angle to clear deep mid-wicket.

    Super shot.

I'm not sure Romario Shepherd is the right option with the new ball, that was a very untidy over until the last ball.

I'd have preferred to see Alzarri Joseph, who is more consistent and has that height and pace.

  12. NZ 12-0published at 2 overs

    Target: 150

There's that variable bounce as Romario Shepherd gets one to jump up and thwack Devon Conway on the glove.

The TV has just shown a clip that shows anything on a length is staying that bit lower, just short of a length is rearing up.

Good ball to finish from Shepherd, nipping away from Finn Allen, but a good over for New Zealand.

That was a friendly drag down. There wasn't a huge amount on it.

The first boundary of the innings.

Swung away leg side by the fast hands of Finn Allen.

Not a great ball by Romario Shepherd and Allen punished it.

I'm a little bit surprised that West Indies didn't start with the pace and getting them to pound it into the wicket.

  16. NZ 3-0published at 1 over

    Target 150

After taking a five-for against Uganda, Akeal Hosein starts well again here.

Not much in the way of spin for the left-armer but he's on the money and concedes just three singles.

I rate Devon Conway and New Zealand need him to come good tonight.

    Thanks, Callum.

Well, this could be interesting. New Zealand are probably chasing at least 30 more than they would have been expecting about 20 minutes ago!

Spinner Akeal Hosein will bowl the first over for West Indies...

Here's how WinViz sees things at the start of the chase.

They've still got New Zealand as overwhelming favourites but at once stage that was 88-12 so there's been a significant change in the past few overs.

Sam Drury is coming back to talk you through the start of the chase.

Unbelievable knock. I'm lost for words.

The presence of mind, the smarts, the options he's taken. Sherfane Rutherford has shown his more superstar team-mates how it's done.

That last over is some of the best T20 batting I've seen.
