In the history of the men's Hundred, only Cardiff (137 runs) has seen more runs scored with scoop shots than the 129 runs scored with scoops at Lord's.

You go through those rots of form and James Vince will be feeling like that. When it's not going for you, it's not.

James Vince is a special player in the shorter format, can play spin really well and he doesn't try to over hit it which can be the tendency when you are out of form.

  7. Brave 5-0published at 95 balls left

    182 runs needed

Leus du Plooy gets Southern Brave under way, mis-timing a single to mid-on.

James Vince faces three dot balls from Luke Wood then dispatches his final delivery for a one-bounce four over midwicket.

Jofra Archer can't do it every day. He is absolutely box office and sometimes it doesn't go your way. He might look back at it and think he perhaps bowled a little bit too short, You turn up to the ground, you are the main man, he didn't have his partner in Chris Jordan, and you can't do it every time.

    Thanks Ffion.

A challenging target for Southern Brave, their openers will need to get them off to a strong start if they're to get over the line.

And indeed, here they are - James Vince and Leus du Plooy.

Luke Wood will open the bowling for Spirit.

A reminder that London Spirit will officially be out of contention for qualifying for the knockouts if they lose today, so they have given themselves a very decent chance.

Southern Brave will still be in it, even if they lose, but it would make things very difficult for them so they'll be desperate to get over the line.

To see if they can pull off a stunning chase, here's Mike Peter.

London Spirit haven't really sparkled with the bat this tournament thus far but this is a good score, and all of the batters contributed so they would all be happy with that score.

A tough evening for Southern Brave's bowlers. 186 does feel like a big score here, but they have the batting power all the way down the order and the short boundary to target.

If they want to make the playoffs, they have to bat very well today.

  13. Spirit 186-4published at 100 balls

    Wow, that was hit hard.

Jamie Overton finishes the innings in style for London Spirit, absolutely belting the ball down the ground for four.

A tough evening for Brave's bowling line-up but it's now over to their batters - they will need 187 to win.

Southern Brave will require their highest chase in the men's Hundred and by some distance, having never chased a target over 152.

  15. Spirit 178-4published at 97 balls

    Hmm, not the best response.

Too wide, too full and thrashed for four by Overton.

    Imposing total for Spirit here.

You feel like you have done everything right there as a bowler and you have, it is a harsh game. Thompson has to cool himself now, with Southern Brave on the cusp of qualifying.

  17. Spirit 174-4published at 96 balls

    Oh, tough one for Thompson.

He nails the yorker but it sneaks past the stumps off Jamie Overton's edge and runs away for four.

It does feel like a good total, even with five deliveries to go. I love the intent they have shown, something they have been missing all tournament.

  19. Spirit 170-4published at 95 balls

A tough night for Jofra Archer. He finishes with 1-42 from 20 balls.

Jordan Thompson will close out the innings for Southern Brave.

Coming in only 26 balls, that was Kane Williamson's joint third fastest fifty of his T20 career.
