    Welcome, Jofra Archer!

Jamie Smith launches his first ball into the stands!

That's frustrating. How many times as a bowler does it just drop? There's a little bit of fortune from Spirit but they're riding their luck.

  4. dropped catch

Smith dropped on 15published at 15 balls

    Spirit 26-0

    Close!

Jamie Smith gets away with one as he plinks the ball up into the air on the leg side, but Hilton Cartwright can't get there as he sprints in from the boundary.

    Would've been a cracker.

  5. 6 runs

    Spirit 24-0published at 14 balls

    First of the day!

Straight down the ground and into the pavilion from Jamie Smith, glorious timing.

Plenty of intent early from the England man, and Craig Overton is under pressure.

We know how important the powerplay is in The Hundred. London Spirit have to take advantage and get a big score on the board. There's been a few thick edges on the way to the boundary.

  7. Spirit 18-0published at 12 balls

    Jamie Smith fancies it, too!

In the slot from Craig Overton and it's a lovely pick-up for four, followed by another lucky edge over the head of Topley at short third.

A positive start for Spirit here.

  8. Spirit 10-0published at 10 balls

Oooh, a bit streaky but it's four more for Warner, the ball flying off an outside edge and down to the deep third boundary off Reece Topley.

London Spirit come into this game having only registered six wins at home in the men's Hundred, the second lowest for any side at their home ground in the competition behind Welsh Fire (five wins).

  10. Spirit 6-0published at 5 balls

    Here he is!

Down the pitch and sliced through the off side for four, an early boundary for Warner.

David Warner loves playing in The Hundred. He said on the mic to us that he finds it refreshing.

  12. Spirit 1-0published at 2 balls

David Warner is under way, just scampering a single into the leg side.

I'm looking forward to this one. Things always happen when David Warner steps onto the cricket pitch.

He's been a bit of a pantomime villain for the English crowd.

But it's over to the bowlers first.

Jofra Archer to David Warner will have to wait for a bit, though. Craig Overton has the ball in hand first for Southern Brave.

Southern Brave's bowling line-up has been in brilliant form, and we've got the tantalising match-up of Jofra Archer v David Warner first up tonight!

But they were rescued by Hilton Cartwright with the bat during their last game against Welsh Fire.

He struck a 19-ball fifty, including some huge sixes, to rescue his side from 94-6 and it set up a tense four-run win.

    Good evening!

After Southern Brave women booked their place in the final with a seventh straight win, their men's side will be looking to keep their qualification hopes alive by beating London Spirit at Lord's tonight.

Spirit, who are bottom of the table, aren't mathematically out but it is very unlikely that they can secure a top three finish.
