Am I the only one who thinks that Brook is one of the most over-rated players in the game today?

It's fair to say the mood has changed somewhat. Remember when Salt was belting Harshit for 26 in an over? Feels like a lifetime ago. Hardik is bowling is bustling medium pace. Three singles off the over.

    Inevitable collapse. 150 all out.

Harshit, by the way, has taken two of the wickets to fall. India will probably sub him off soon.

There's silence in Nagpur when Buttler swivels on a pull for four.

Turned on the cricket about 15 minutes ago when things were going brilliantly. Three wickets for two runs later, I think I’ll turn it off again. I take full responsibility for this collapse, sorry folks.

    Richard, London

Apologies all, I turned the cricket on at the point the run out happened. With the third wicket going down I'm now switching off so England can get back on track.

This is not the earliest Jos Buttler has arrived at the crease in an ODI. Against West Indies in the 3rd ODI in Barbados in December 2023, he came into bat when England were 48-4 after 9.2 overs.

I haven't done this for a while. It's good to know that there's still nothing that stirs the emotions quite like an England collapse.

England were 60-40 on WinViz before Salt's run out, they are 29-71 now having lost three wickets in eight balls.

Why why why do they always get my hopes up and then capitulate. This England team have less composure than Man United right now.

Sorry to report I think your live reporting is broken, it seems to be stuck on the Wicket function. Hopefully IT can sort that for you.

That's another Harry Brook dismissal to a short ball. Pat Cummins makes a note. Jos Buttler is in after 10 overs. That can't have happened many times before.

It all goes back to that run-out, doesn't it? Once again, England are looking to Joe Root.

Jonathan France: Powerplay coming to a timid end after a great start being 70-0. Another strong position, gifted to the opposition!

  15. wicket

    Brook c Rahul b Harshit 0 (Eng 77-3)

    This is going south, quickly.

England have lost three wickets for two runs in eight balls, all started with a needless run out.

Harry Brook is gone for a duck. Extra pace from Harshit Rana, tickled down the leg side, another good catch, this time by diving wicketkeeper KL Rahul.

Arjun Singh: That Duckett wicket was so predictable. A run out always follows with the other wicket.

  17. Eng 77-2published at 9.5 overs

How did Jaiswal even keep his eyes on the ball, let alone catch it.

Have a go, now. Look at something in the sky and try to run full pelt. You'll probably take out everyone else on their way to work or school, and that's if you don't fall over first.

    Harry Brook.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 9.3 overs

    Duckett c Jaiswal b Harshit 32 (Eng 77-2)

    Unbelievable catch!

That is simply brilliant from Yashasvi Jaiswal, the debutant. One of the best outfield catches you'll see.

Ben Duckett had a part to play in the run-out of Phil Salt, now he's top-edged and holed out. Jaiswal, the square leg, has to run back halfway towards the boundary, watch the ball drop over his shoulder and dive full-length.

It's absolutely magnificent. India's fielding is sensational.

  20. Eng 77-1published at 9.2 overs

Not the sort of dismissal that will please the England management. Running hard is a non-negotiable.
