  1. India captain Rohit Sharma: "We wanted to bowl first. It doesn't matter what you do, you have to do it well. We have to be aggressive with the ball at the start and see what we can do after.

    "We've had a decent break. It's always nice to get some time off, then try to start fresh. It's going to be a a great series.

    "It's important to get some game-time, because we've hardly played this format since the World Cup."

  2. England captain Jos Buttler: "We've got a nice thing going in the dressing room. We welcome back Joe Root, a nice guy to bring back.

    "It's a good atmosphere and sure to be a good game. We had our moments in the T20s, but just didn't play well for long enough.

    "We're playing against a top side in their own conditions. It's a tough test, which we're looking forward to.
