    Middlesex 312-2 v Leics 306

Sam Robson collect his 13th boundary off the bowling of Tim Scriven to move Middlesex into the lead.

A perfect afternoon for Middlesex as they look to build a score which will put pressure on Leicestershire on day four.

Their partnership stands on an unbroken 248.

  3. Tea at Old Traffordpublished at 16:02 British Summer Time 5 May 2024

    Lancs 92 & 320-7 v Kent 261 - lead by 151

Single to Tom Hartley, driving Joey Evison to long off.

An LBW appeal against Matty Hurst is turned down.

    A bit too leg side.

Hurst blocks out the over and that's tea.

This has been a patient knock from the Lancashire keeper and Kent will be keen to see the back of him as soon as possible after the break.

Honours just about even at this stage.

  4. Tea at Headingleypublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 5 May 2024

    Yorkshire 519-7 dec v Glamorgan 221 & 68-1 - trail by 230

Glamorgan have to bat big to salvage a draw out of this one, but their hopes took a knock, losing Billy Root (35) shortly before tea.

Root and Eddie Byrom (29) saw off the seamers early doors as Yorkshire turned to the spin of Dan Moriarty and Dom Bess after seven overs.

Earlier, Yorkshire added 61 runs to their lunchtime 458-4, losing Jonathan tattersall (55), Jack Brook (65) and Matthew Revis, before declaring.

  5. Fisher receives treatmentpublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 5 May 2024

    Yorkshire 519-7 dec v Glamorgan 221 & 68-1 - trail by 230

This is a concern for Yorkshire as Matthew Fisher collapses over the boundary as he attempts in vain to stop a Eddie Byrom four.

He seems to trip himself up in the attempt and Ben Coad waves on treatment for the Yorkshire bowler.

He's on his feet as he gets treatment and hobbles back to the dressing room with help, but the umpires do the decent thing and call an early tea as Fisher receives treatment.

    Lancs 92 & 319-7 v Kent 261 - lead by 150

Tom Hartley gets a single off Matt Parkinson to square leg - and that's the 150 lead.

Another 50 or so could be a very tough chase against Lancashire's quality attack.

Matty Hurst is watchful as he turns the ball safely into the off side.

Time for one more over before tea.

  7. 300 runs

300 up for Middlesexpublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 5 May 2024

Sam Robson is in a hurry as he takes 14 off the first three balls of Ben Mike's 16th over.

    Yorkshire 519-7 dec v Glamorgan 221 & 60-1 - trail by 238

Breakthrough for Yorkshire as Dan Moriarty bowls Billy Root.

Moriarty gets turn to beat the defences of Root and it sneaks through his legs and dislodges the off stump bail.

Sam Northeast gets off the mark with a four, turning it past Finlay Bean through the leg side.

  11. Postpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 5 May 2024

    Yorkshire 519-7 dec v Glamorgan 221 & 53-0 - trail by 245

Dom Bess gets down on one knee as he implores the umpire to give him a wicket.

He turns on into Eddie Byrom's front pad as the Glamorgan opener shoulders arms.

But it looks to be missing off stump. Try again, Dom.

Four overs to get through until tea.

    Lancs 92 & 302-7 v Kent 261 - lead by 133

    Matt Parkinson bowls...

Matty Hurst (on 49) drives and a little fumble in the field on the off side allows him to get the single he needs for a half century.

That's his first 50 of the season and his third overall as the keeper-batter continues to stand in the way of a Kent run chase.

    134 balls with one four.

    Lancs 92 & 301-7 v Kent 261 - lead by 132

Tom Hartley on 14. Grant Stewart runs in to bowl and that ball is edged wide of Joe Denly for two to take Lancashire past 300 in the 94th over.

The lead is handy but by no means impassable for Kent.

    Good contest, this.

  15. 'Sussex have played really well'published at 15:34 British Summer Time 5 May 2024

    Derbys 246 & 109-9 v Sussex 479

    Dave Fletcher
    BBC Radio Derby Sport

Sussex have played really well in this match.

They made the most of the conditions on day one to pretty much dismiss Derbyshire but they had them in all sorts of trouble by the end of day one.

Derbyshire have been woeful in these second innings, having been at one stage 71-2 they have crumbled to 109 all out.

Dom Bess is on to replace Ben Coad and we now have spin at both ends.

And he causes Billy Root a few problems in his first over.

He almost gets through the Root defences but he chops it down on to wicketkeeper Chris Cooke's boot.

Then his fifth ball slides underneath Root's bottom edge through to Cooke. Maiden.

    Breaking

    Derbyshire 246 & 109 v Sussex 479

With Blair Tickner unable to bat, this game has ended in a hurry in favour of the south coast county.

An emphatic win for Sussex, who turned a promising first innings into a great one thanks to 95 runs added by the Sussex tail after Cheteshwar Pujara was dismissed for 113.

Jayden Seales was twice denied a hat-trick but still tore through the Derbyshire batting with 5-29 in just eight overs.

Sussex currently sit on the top of the Division Two on 74 points after an emphatic win.

    Derbys 246 & 109-9 v Sussex 479 - trail by 124

It was fun while it lasted but the Zak Chappell onslaught is over.

  20. 'A well deserved 100 for Robson'published at 15:23 British Summer Time 5 May 2024

    Middlesex 232-2 v Leics 306

    Guy Swindells
    BBC Radio London

A well-deserved 100 for Robson and what an excellent knock that's been to set up his side in this match.

    It is his 33rd first-class 100.

He was dropped on 39 and he has made Leicestershire pay.
