  1. Postpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time

    Worcs v Warwicks 239-7 (lead by 285)

Tom Taylor, with his last over with the old ball, is punished for getting his length wrong by Chris Woakes who gets back-to-back boundaries and moves on to 24 not out off 49.

The new ball has now been taken.

  2. Postpublished at 15:50 British Summer Time

    Worcs v Warwicks 230-7 (lead by 276)

Not a lot to update you on at New Road as Warwickshire's Chris Woakes and Sam Hain continue to rotate the strike with a new ball expected to be taken by the hosts soon.

The sun is continuing to shine and we are expected to get through another 45 overs today.

  3. Middlesex all outpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 383 v Middlesex 155 & 235 (f/o)

Dane Paterson hits Matthew Kuhnemann down the ground and Andy Gorvin takes the catch.

The Australian spin bowler, signed by Glamorgan for this game, finishes with 6-53 from 22.3 overs and they will need to score just eight runs for a third successive win.

  4. Postpublished at 114.2 overs

    Surrey 279 v Essex 217 & 380-6

Dan Worrall looks a bit laboured in his run up and Noah Thain has plenty of time to get up on his toes and force it away square for four.

He is 14 not out and Essex lead by 318. Did Surrey make a mistake by picking six seamers for this game and no spinner?

  5. Tea at Headingleypublished at 15:44 British Summer Time

    Yorks 159 & 45-1 v Notts 228 & 393-8d

Adam Lyth plays out a seven ball over from Brett Hutton containing one wide as Yorkshire reach tea needing another 418 runs for victory.

Finlay Bean is the only wicket to fall so far which will frustrate Notts who would have expected to have made more inroads than that.

But there is plenty of time left in this game and Mo Abbas has had only four overs and Brett Hutton just three so far.

  6. 'Notts have to be patient'published at 15:43 British Summer Time

    Yorks 159 & 45-1 v Notts 228 & 393-8 dec

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

Notts have just got to be a bit patient here.

They may have to work a bit harder this second time around.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:34 British Summer Time

    Roland-Jones c Harris b TVDG (Glamorgan 383 v Middx 155 & 228-9)

With the scores level, Toby Roland-Jones hoists Timm van der Gugtan to square leg where James Harris takes a well-judged catch.

TRJ hit four sixes and six fours in his entertaining 42-ball cameo.

It's saved his team from an innings defeat - but not a defeat, unless Middlesex's last-wicket pair can produce a quite astonishing partnership.

  8. 350 up for Gloucspublished at 15:34 British Summer Time

    Northants 469 v Gloucs 350-8 (trail by 119 runs)

Cam Green's 105th run of the first innings brings the 350 up for Gloucestershire and the visitors pick up another batting point.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:32 British Summer Time

    Bean lbw b Pennington 17 (Yorks 40-1, target 463)

Finlay Bean is not happy but it could have more to do with his ongoing struggles at the top of the order than the decision.

Looking at the replays of that Dillon Pennington of that you would think it would be given nine times out of 10, angling in it has hit him probably in line with off stump and was going on to middle.

    Bean has 14, 0, 19, 14, 15, 7, 31, 19, 19, 7, 2 & 17 (average 13.66) which is a poor start to the season.

  10. Middlesex clear deficitpublished at 15:31 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 383 v Middx 155 & 228-8

Toby Roland-Jones takes a single off Matthew Kuhnemann and the scores are level - Middlesex avoid an innings defeat.

  11. dropped catch

Hain dropped on 69published at 15:31 British Summer Time

    Worcs v Warwicks 223-7 (lead by 269)

Terrific chance goes down for Worcestershire.

Sam Hain (69 not out) looks to cut Matthew Waite and the ball goes quickly but straight to Rob Jones at slip who is unable to cling on to a sharp catch after parrying in the air.

Very difficult chance but those have got to be taken if the hosts are going to pull off a comeback victory.

That could be a crucial moment.

  12. Postpublished at 110 overs

    Surrey 279 v Essex 217 & 369-6

Charlie Allison slashes Sam Curran for four.

The all-rounder responds by finding the edge but it falls well short of the slips.

Allison pushes a single to keep the strike and move to 86 not out.

  13. Postpublished at 15:24 British Summer Time

    Derbys 587-5 dec v Kent 326 & 13-0

Kent have begun their second innings after being asked to follow on.

Ben Compton has the pads on again after scoring 156 in their first innings.

Joe Denly is his partner and tucks Martin Andersson through mid-wicket for the first boundary.

  14. 'Essex not safe just yet'published at 15:23 British Summer Time

    Surrey 279 v Essex 217 & 357-6

    Roland Butcher
Former England batter on BBC Sounds

I don't think Essex are in a safe position just yet, they've still got a lot of batting to do.

It's important for Essex to just continue batting. I don't think there's any great urgency for them to push the game on.

I think there's enough time left in the game for us to get a target that can't be chased down so easily.

  15. 50 runs

for Toby Roland-Jonespublished at 15:20 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 383 v Middx 155 & 215-8

It's going to be a case of too little, too late but Toby Roland-Jones swishes Andy Gorvin wide of mid-on for four to reach 500 from just 33 balls.

Middlesex are now only 13 behind so they may at least avoid an innings loss.

  16. Postpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time

    Worcs v Warwicks 217-7 (lead by 263)

Back-to-back boundaries from Chris Woakes, both through the covers, sees him move on to 12 not out and increases the visitors lead to 263.

  17. 100 runs

100 for Cam Greenpublished at 15:13 British Summer Time

    Northants 469 v 339-8 (trail by 130)

Cam Green pushes a quick single and reaches another superb century to help salvage the situation for the West County outfit.

It's Green's third century for the club and his 14th first-class ton in total in the Australian's fledgling career.

The following ball, Calvin Harrison tickles the edge of Tom Price's bat to find Lewis McManus who takes a sharp catch behind the stumps as the eighth-wicket falls down.

  18. 'Inexperience proved costly for Durham'published at 15:08 British Summer Time

    Durham 277 & 159 v Somerset 172 & 267-3

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Inexperience in the end has proved costly for Durham.

They got themselves skittles out very cheaply yesterday with all those wickets falling.

A lot of the damage from a Somerset point of view had been inflicted on Durham.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 105.1 overs

    Pepper c Foakes b Curran 18 (Surrey 279 v Essex 217 & 343-6)

Poor shot by Michael Pepper, who chases a wide one and edges Sam Curran through to Ben Foakes.

Noah Thain comes out to bat with Essex now 281 in front.

  20. Kent all outpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time

    Derbys 587-5 dec v Kent 326

Kent's first innings is over - although they don't lose all 10 wickets.

Jake Ball retires hurt with what appears to be a groin problem, bringing things to an end, and Derbyshire enforce the follow on.
