  1. Postpublished at 12:38 British Summer Time 26 April

    Notts 258-8 v Sussex 169

Notts have lost five wickets this morning but this timely partnership between Josh Tongue and Liam Patterson-White is nearing the 50 mark.

Tongue takes the stand to 47 with a cover drive for one off James Coles and LPW adds one more run to the stand, pulling a short ball square.

    89 ahead.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:34 British Summer Time 26 April

    Clark b Allison 16 (Worcestershire 162 v Durham 105-7)

Expansive swipe outside off from Graham Clark, big inside edge and the stumps are splattered.

Ben Allison picks up a deserved first wicket to end a 47-run partnership with George Drissell. How crucial might that prove?

Ben Raine is the new batter, with Durham still 57 in arrears.

  3. Postpublished at 12:33 British Summer Time 26 April

    Surrey 72-0 v Somerset 283

Another fine stroke from Rory Burns as the Surrey captain unleashes a silky cover drive on the front foot to Kasey Aldridge.

In fairness to Somerset, the bowling has been largely solid but with less of the late movement and irregular bounce we saw at times yesterday afternoon.

  4. 'Brookes slows the scoring'published at 12:31 British Summer Time 26 April

    Worcestershire 162 v Durham 104-6

    Melinda Farrell
Sports broadcaster/journalist on BBC Hereford & Worcestershire

Bringing Ethan Brookes into the attack and taking Jacob Duffy off has really slowed the scoring down here.

Brookes is slower but bowled really well at Chelmsford last week.

    Notts 250-8 v Sussex 169

Liam Patterson-White takes Notts to 250 and a valuable batting point in the 56th over with a checked drive that beats bowler James Coles and sends the ball to long on for a single.

    The lead is 81.

  6. Durham reach 100published at 12:29 British Summer Time 26 April

Durham 100-6 trail Worcestershire by 62

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

When two wickets fell in the fourth over of the day I didn't think Durham's hopes of reaching 100 were good.

But thanks to a partnership of 42 from Graham Clark and George Drissell they have got there. The two have been together for 104 deliveries.

These are much-needed runs in a low-scoring epic. The highest partnership in the game is only 55! All they can do is be watchful and bat and bat. But it really is difficult to judge where we are with this game at the moment.

Dom Sibley struck amidshipspublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 26 April

    Surrey 66-0 v Somerset 283

A pause in play at the end of that Lewis Gregory over but Sibley is fine to continue. Ouch indeed.

  8. Postpublished at 12:27 British Summer Time 26 April

    Notts 249-8 v Sussex 169

Six runs off the James Coles over, including four runs driven over mid off by Liam Patterson-White.

Double change as Fynn Hudson-Prentice comes on in place of Jayden Seales and Josh Tongue defends.

  9. Postpublished at 12:24 British Summer Time 26 April

    Surrey 65-0 v Somerset 283

Rory Burns looks well set and he gets his fifth four with a front foot flick through mid wicket off Kasey Aldridge.

Five runs off that over and Somerset captain Lewis Gregory brings himself back into the attack in place of Migael Pretorius.

  10. 100 runs

100 up for Durhampublished at 12:23 British Summer Time 26 April

    Worcestershire 162 v Durham 100-6

At 58-6, three figures looked a long way off for Durham but George Drisselll (22*) and Graham Clark (13*) have added 42 from 100 balls to keep their side afloat at New Road.

The deficit is down to 62.

  11. Postpublished at 12:22 British Summer Time 26 April

    Notts 242-8 v Sussex 169

Jayden Seales has bowled unchanged all morning but this bouncer to Liam Patterson-White has gone awry, sailing high over the head of both batter and keeper for four wides.

The sixth ball of the over is smashed down the ground for four.

    11 runs off the over.

Ollie Robinson has also bowled since the start today but he's been given a break and spinner James Coles is coming on.

  12. Division Two updatepublished at 12:21 British Summer Time 26 April

    #bbccricket

    Leicestershire 156-5 v Gloucestershire 252

Ben Cox (11*) and Ian Holland (35*) have built a partnership of 37 runs and have taken the Leicestershire deficit into double figures at Bristol.

    Derbyshire 326-5 v Middlesex

The hosts are pushing themselves into a big advantage as they're approaching 350 runs - having lost the toss and been asked to bat first yesterday morning, remember.

Martin Andersson (47*) nears another half-century for Derbyshire as his partner at the crease Luis Reece's unbeaten 27 runs brings their partnership to 77.

  13. Postpublished at 12:18 British Summer Time 26 April

    Surrey 60-0 v Somerset 283

Lovely shot from Dom Sibley, forward to Migael Pretorius and clipping the ball leg side for four.

Somerset bring a fielder into deep mid wicket.

Pretorius adjusts his line and Sibley leaves outside off stump.

  14. Postpublished at 12:14 British Summer Time 26 April

    Notts 231-8 v Sussex 169

Notts would've had high hopes for a few batting points this morning but they would probably settle for one now.

Ollie Robinson drops short and Liam Patterson-White pulls square for four runs. 20 needed for a batting point and 61 ahead.

Another short ball in pulled square for a single. 62 in front.

A solid start for Surrey as the 50 comes up.

The partnership has been good between Rory Burns and Dom Sibley so far.

  16. ouch!

Postpublished at 12:12 British Summer Time 26 April

    Worcestershire 162 v Durham 98-6

Jacob Duffy tries a change of end and bangs one in short which flies off George Drissell's helmet as he ducks out of the way as he aborts an attempted hook.

The ball races to the fine leg boundary for four byes, while the Durham man will need to be assessed by the physio.

He takes the opportunity to remove his sweater at the same time.

    He means business.

The partnership is 40 runs with Graham Clark, with Drissell on 21 from 39 balls and Clark on 12 from 45.

  17. Postpublished at 12:11 British Summer Time 26 April

    Surrey 50-0 v Somerset 283

Surrey captain Rory Burns takes Surrey to 50 in 16 overs with an edged drive that squirts the ball through point for a single off the bowling of Kasey Aldridge.

Played down the wrong line there. Seam movement for Somerset but no wickets in the session to date.

  18. ouch!

Ollie Robinson struck on the hand in the fieldpublished at 12:09 British Summer Time 26 April

    Notts 221-8 v Sussex 169

Shot! Josh Tongue is off the mark in style with four runs clipped away through mid wicket off the bowling of Jayden Seales.

He gets away with an off drive that just evades Ollie Robinson, who does in fact get a hand to it for four more.

Worryingly for Sussex, Ollie Robinson is wringing that hand in clear discomfort.

  19. Postpublished at 12:05 British Summer Time 26 April

    Surrey 48-0 v Somerset 283

Migael Pretorius appealsImage source, Rex Features

A frustrating end to a probing over from Migael Pretorius, who has a decent LBW shout v Rory Burns turned down and then bowls a leg stump half volley for an easy four, clipped through mid wicket on the front foot.

Dom Sibley picks up a single off Kasey Aldridge, tucked behind square leg.

  20. 'It's really a magnificent catch'published at 12:03 British Summer Time 26 April

    Notts 210-8 v Sussex 169

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

It's another good catch at the slips.

He just pushed at it, it flew low-down.

It's really a magnificent catch, he really does have great hands, the quality of slip-catching is one of the best I've ever seen.
