  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:01 British Summer Time 26 April

    Jones lbw b Raine 0 (Worcestershire 162 & 3-3 v Durham 136)

It never Raines, but it pours...

Ben Raine is unplayable, with this fresh cherry, on this pitch, with these conditions.

He's pinned Rob Jones infront and up goes the finger.

Durham are surely favourites now. Henry Nicholls feels like the only hope for the Pears.

62 overs left on the slate... could it really be done today?

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 26 April

    Libby c Ackermann b Raine 2 (Worcestershire 162 & 3-2 v Durham 136)

Ben Raine is fired-up. He finds the edge of Jake Libby's bat and Colin Ackermann does the rest at second slip.

The lead is only 29. Pears fans might have a growing sense of impending doom.

Rob Jones joins Henry Nicholls in the middle.

  3. Postpublished at 13:59 British Summer Time 26 April

    Surrey 118-0 v Somerset 283

Single to Dom Sibley, gently pushing Migael Pretorius into the leg side.

Burns pulls his bat inside the line at the last moment to the fifth ball in a rare moment of indecision from the Surrey openers.

The Surrey captain ends the over with elan, driving the sixth ball down the ground for four, beating the wide mid off.

  4. Division Two updatepublished at 13:58 British Summer Time 26 April

    #bbccricket

Poor old Martin Andersson has been struck on the head with a bouncer, and immediately after the resumption after some treatment a throw comes in from Ryan Higgins as Andersson tries to make his ground in a single and the ball bounces up and hits him in the neck.

Higgins puts his arm around his old teammate, who has 66* and has shared 123 with Luis Reece (53*).

Painful start to the session for the all-rounder, who will be dreaming of a second century in three games, in amongst the pain

  5. Postpublished at 13:55 British Summer Time 26 April

    Surrey 113-0 v Somerset 283

Rory Burns marches on to 65, going forward to Josh Davey to flick the ball through mid wicket.

Just after Somerset moved a leg side fielder into the gully as well.

The pressure is piling on to Somerset.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:49 British Summer Time 26 April

    Roderick b Raine 0 (Worcestershire 162 & 0-1 v Durham 136)

    Third ball breakthrough.

Ben Raine sends down a glorious ball which draws Gareth Roderick forward but he plays inside the line before hearing the noise of his stumps being clattered behind him.

Kiwi debutant Henry Nicholls is back in the middle, joining Jake Libby after his 42 yesterday, the best knock of the match by far.

  7. Play resumes at New Roadpublished at 13:48 British Summer Time 26 April

    Worcestershire 162 & 0-0 v Durham 136

Jake Libby and Gareth Roderick head out to begin the afternoon session, looking to build on that slender 26-run advantage on first innings.

Jake Ball and, first-up, Ben Raine are tasked with trying to repeat their early heroics from, ooh, 26-odd hours ago.

  8. 'It's a very professional partnership'published at 13:45 British Summer Time 26 April

    Surrey 102-0 v Somerset 283

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

100 partnership between these two, they're a very good opening pair.

It was a very professional partnership, you could sense the mental strength of them both.

They know each other very well, they have done it in international cricket and domestic cricket.

  9. 100 runs

100 up for Surreypublished at 13:45 British Summer Time 26 April

    Surrey 100-0 v Somerset 283

Rory Burns finds a thick edge off Josh Davey to squirt into the off-side and trot through for a single which takes his side into three figures and makes it another century opening stand with Dom Sibley.

  10. 'Sussex need to win the next two sessions'published at 13:43 British Summer Time 26 April

    Notts 300 v Sussex 169

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

A topsy-turvy morning session at Trent Bridge eventually ended at 1.25pm, shortly after Notts had secured an unlikely second batting point.

Trailing by only five runs at the start of the day, the home side’s progression was stifled by an impressive hour-long spell from Sussex’s Test bowlers Ollie Robinson and Jayden Seales.

Each registered four wickets, with the aid of some outstanding slip catching. Once Haseeb Hameed had fallen for 85, home hopes rested on the recalled Liam Patterson-White, who along with Josh Tongue, eventually stretched the Notts lead into three figures.

Sussex need to win both of the remaining sessions today to have a chance of avoiding a first loss of the campaign.

  11. Play resumes at the Ovalpublished at 13:41 British Summer Time 26 April

    Surrey 99-0 v Somerset 283

More of the same is the order of the day for the hosts, with Rory Burns resuming on 53* and Dom Sibley on 30*.

Somerset need a breakthrough... somehow, anyhow.

Surrey took seven wickets after lunch yesterday, what the visitors wouldn't give to repeat that trick today.

Josh Davey takes the ball at the Pavilion End.

    Notts 300-9 v Sussex 169

Jack Carson celebratesImage source, Rex Features

Spinner Jack Carson is on now and he strikes with his third ball!

    That's lunch.

Farhan Ahmed has been cleaned up for nine missing a pushed drive and losing his leg stump.

Josh Tongue ends on a very precious 39 not out, having come in when Notts were in danger of being kept to a slender lead without batting points.

The innings lead is a very useful 131 on a pitch that has played a few tricks.

Four wickets each for Jayden Seales and Ollie Robinson.

  15. 300 up for Nottspublished at 13:22 British Summer Time 26 April

    Notts 300-9 v Sussex 169

123 ahead now and Notts are potentially a couple of hits away from a second batting point.

Theoretically four overs left till lunch.

A bit of width and Josh Tongue drives to long off for one.

Four balls left in the over.

Ollie Robinson bowls short to Farhan Ahmed, who misses an attempted cut.

Ahmed steers a short off side ball behind backward point for two.

Not bad at all for a number 11.

Short and hooked behind square for one more. Four short of 300.

There it is! On off stump, full and pushed by Tongue to deep third for four runs.

300 in 68 overs and Notts have another bowling point.

  16. What a very strange game of cricketpublished at 13:17 British Summer Time 26 April

Durham 136 all out trail Worcestershire by 26 runs

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

We have seen 20 wickets fall in this game and we haven't had 300 runs yet. They've fallen for a total of 298.

Durham resumed their first innings this morning on 55-4 and were soon in trouble, losing two wickets in one Ben Allison over, before George Drissell and Graham Clark added 47 for the seventh wicket.

Clark fell for 16 and Drissell was then out for 31 - the second highest score of the game!

Durham were dismissed just after 1pm for only 136, which is their second lowest score against their opponents.

There were three wickets apiece for Tom Taylor and Ben Allison. But on this track, that 26-run lead could be priceless. I think this game could be over today. If not, I doubt it will reach lunch tomorrow.

  17. Postpublished at 13:17 British Summer Time 26 April

    Notts 292-9 v Sussex 169

Farhan Ahmed is in the crease to shovel a ball from spinner James Coles leg side for a single.

A silly mid on and a slip are in for Josh Tongue.

Single to Tongue to the off side and Ahmed sees out the over.

  18. 'Long day ahead for Middlesex'published at 13:17 British Summer Time 26 April

    Derbyshire 369-5 v Middlesex

    Kevin Hand
    BBC Radio London commentator

Derbyshire handsomely won the morning session on a slow, hybrid surface.

What sideways movement there maybe be is not happening at any great pace and the batters are comfortably lining up both the seamers and the spinner.

Middlesex have one very big appeal for an LBW against their former all-rounder Martin Andersson early in the day off Toby Roland-Jones but otherwise there has been little to shout about from the visitors.

Given the ball was only 26 overs old when play resumed this morning, it could be a long day ahead for the Middlesex bowlers unless some inspiration can blast open an end.

Luis Reece upped his scoring rate as the session progressed while Andersson has displayed his renowned driving ability throughout.

Whether Middlesex's batters can show the same patience to match the Derbyshire innings, which for the most part has progressed at 2.5 RPO, will be of interest.

As things stand, Derbyshire are on for a mighty first innings score, although they returned only two batting bonus points before 110 overs were reached.

  19. Postpublished at 13:14 British Summer Time 26 April

    Notts 290-9 v Sussex 169

Three slips in for Ollie Robinson, plus a short leg and a leg slip.

The first ball is a full toss and clipped away for three as Jayden Seales stops the ball just inside the rope.

Tongue tries to work a short ball round the corner but it's picked up on the bounce at leg slip.

He'll get runs next ball though, flicked behind square leg for... one.

The near inevitable bouncer to Farhan Ahmed is hooked just over Oli Carter at short leg for one to end the over.

  20. 'No joy for Somerset'published at 13:14 British Summer Time 26 April

    Surrey 99-0 v Somerset 283

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

No joy for the weakened Somerset seam attack this morning, as the vastly experienced Rory Burns and Dom Sibley warmed to their task ominously in hazy sunshine.

There was some playing and missing early on but the pitch has played few tricks to encourage the bowlers.

Nonetheless, Somerset will be hoping that the pattern of yesterday can be repeated, with no wickets in the first session and plenty in the second.
