    Hants 237-7 v Worcs 47-2 - DLS target 188

A welcome boundary for Worcestershire and it is beautifully timed by captain Jake Libby.

You feel if Pears have a chance at chasing down this target he will have to stay at the crease for most of this innings now.

We see our first bit of spin this afternoon as Andrew Neal is on and he goes for just a couple in his first over.

Hawks have been very tight in their approach so far as the required run rate goes to above eight an over.

    Hants 237-7 v Worcs 38-2 - DLS target 188

Good bit of movement from James Fuller sees him nip one away from new man in Kashif Ali.

Ali was drawn into the drive but misses the outside edge by centemetres.

The following ball is a wild one from Fuller and Ali has the simplest of tasks of putting it away at fine leg for four.

Pears are still well behind the required run rate here.

We talked Dan Lategan up and the young man just lost his head, maybe he just got over excited, not resetting himself after the loss of a wicket.

That's a big blow for Worcestershire but great bowling from Scott Currie.

An excellent start from Scott Currie who picks up the key wicket of Dan Lategan and concedes just the one run in his first over.

    Oh big, big wicket this.

Dan Lategan, who looked impressive from the start of his innings, doesn't move his feet at all on this one and edges Scott Currie's first delivery of the match behind the stumps to Ben Brown who makes a simple catch.

First wicket goes down for the Rapids!

Straight into the action, James Fuller tempts Gareth Roderick with a wide one and he slices to sub fielder Tom Prest who comes running in from the boundary to take a terrific low catch, diving on the run.

The run rate has gone back up to seven now for Pears.

That's a beautiful shot. Full and straight from Brad Wheal and hammered straight down the ground Dan Lategan.

Absolutely brilliant shot from the young man. Superb.

Worcestershire are scoring at the rate the they need to score at or course, but it's a great start.

What a shot that is from Dan Lategan. It wasn't a poor delivery as such, it was just a bit full and he has climbed into that one.

The crowd go wild again and Lategan is giving them plenty to cheer.

Nine off the first over for the Rapids.

  17. Postpublished at 0.5 over

Hants 237-7 v Worcs 5-0 (DLS target to win 188)

After leaving the first ball, Gareth Roderick gets the Rapids' innings underway by clipping the ball into the leg side for a boundary which can not be prevented by centurion Ali Orr.

With the next ball, Roderick chips the ball but Hampshire captain Neil Gubbins at midwicket slips when he looks to try and grab.

The slippery conditions are already causing havoc in the first over of this Pears innings.

  18. 'We should get nearly two hours in'published at 17:18 BST 20 September

    Dave Bradley
BBC Hereford & Worcester cricket commentator

We reckon we got nearly two hours to get these overs in.

Of course we play cricket until 20:00 or 21:00 under floodlights in this country but it could be that the natural light takes them off but it'd be disappointing if it did.
