    Another body blow for Hampshire.

The James Fuller experiment didn't really work today. He just looked hopelessly out of rhythm, out of touch and couldn't get the ball away.

Credit to Worcestershire, they've clawed and fought their way back into this game.

  2. Postpublished at 43.1 overs

    Hants 227-5 v Worcs

Khurram Shahzad is on for his final over as Hampshire look to add some late runs to boost their total.

    Fuller c Brookes b Allison 23 (Hants 226-6 v Worcs)

A wicket for Ben Allison in a very tidy over - just two runs from it.

James Fuller timed a few in his innings but this one is short of the boundary and Ethan Brookes pouches it.

Calum: "It is so sad to see such a wafer thin crowd for what was always the show piece of the domestic season. If we had a strong 50 over competition, England would surely see the benefits!!!"

    And so is the second.

James Fuller is annoyed with himself for that swipe at thin air.

  6. Postpublished at 42.1 overs

    Hants 224-5 v Worcs

Last over coming up for Ben Allison.

Last chance to get the wicket to give him the outright lead at the top of the wicket takers table.

    First ball is a dot...

Scott Currie does get the scoop shot right on this occasion as he finds the boundary from the final ball of the over.

One bounce and over the rope.

  8. Postpublished at 41.4 overs

    Hants 220-5 v Worcs

A pretty hopeful appeal from Worcs there.

It wasn't a good choice of shot from Scott Currie as he tries a scoop which was never on but it also was never out.

  9. Postpublished at 41.2 overs

    Hants 219-5 v Worcs

    Just the one from it.

Khurram Shahzad seems to have struggled with his timing today.

  10. Postpublished at 41.1 overs

    Hants 216-5 v Worcs

Good fielding on the boundary from Kashif Ali - on the bounce he stops it going for four.

Worcs doing a good job in the field.

But Scott Currie has a free hit...

  11. 'Orr out in tame fashion but he's been marvellous'published at 15:08 BST 20 September

    Hants 215-5 v Worcs

    Melinda Farrell
Sports broadcaster/journalist on BBC Radio Solent

It just spooned back to Matthew Waite who stuck out his right hand, he had plenty of time and Ali Orr's magnificent innings comes to an end, it must be said in quite tame fashion, but it's been marvellous from the Hampshire opener.

  12. Postpublished at 41 overs

    Hants 215-5 v Worcs

Today will be the fifth time Worcs have batted second in the One Day Cup this season.

They only needed to score 195 to beat Hants in the group game.

In the other three, they scored 316, 298 and 269 to win.

  13. Postpublished at 40.5 overs

    Hants 213-5 v Worcs

    Oh wow!

James Fuller's bat has gone flying!

He tries to give it a big swipe but completely misses the ball - his bat made it much further than the ball.

  14. wicket

    Orr c & b Waite 110 (Hants 210-5 v Worcs)

    Ali OrrImage source, Rex Features

    Casual as you like!

Matthew Waite sticks out a hand and takes the catch off his own bowling in fairly nonchalant style!

Ali Orr, for once, mistimes his shot and it comes off the toe of the bat to Waite - it could have gone for six had he got all of it.

Orr has batted brilliantly and departs for 110.

  15. 'Momentum with Hampshire now'published at 15:01 BST 20 September

    Hants 209-4 v Worcs

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

It's funny how innings go when you get little periods of play.

It was a great start for Hampshire, Worcestershire pulled it back really, really nicely but in this last 15 or 20 minutes or so, absolute slaughter with Ali Orr having gone to his 100 and momentum really with Hampshire now.

Fair play to Orr, he's been in great form and he's got his third 100 of the competition this year but he's had to cope with two rain breaks, so a very important innings.

  16. Postpublished at 40 overs

    Hants 213-4 v Worcs

A misfield there - but it matters not on this occasion.

No runs from a slower ball from Ben Allison.

    Five overs to go...

  17. Postpublished at 39.2 overs

    Hants 209-4 v Worcs

Ali Orr is well set and James Fuller looks ready to pounce on any loose deliveries - just like that one!

Swatted away on the leg side with minimal fuss.

  18. 200 up for Hampshirepublished at 39 overs

    Hants 203-4 v Worcs

A couple of forceful blows from James Fuller help Hampshire to over 200.

We're getting towards crunch time with six overs remaining.

  19. Postpublished at 38 overs

    Hants 194-4 v Worcs

Ethan Brookes is showing plenty of variation in his deliveries and it's working well.

He's got the towel out between balls and his slower ones are proving tricky for the batters.

1-51 from Brookes from his nine overs and that means he has bowled his allotted overs.

  20. 'Orr has switched gears'published at 14:53 BST 20 September

    Hants 188-4 v Worcs

    Shachi Pai
Former Lancashire batter on BBC Radio Solent

Ali Orr's whole innings has been calm, measured and he really now has switched gears and turned it on.

Hampshire know the importance of this vital knock.

A big match player, in these big moments he's stepped up when his team's needed him the most.
