More rain at Bristol so they are off for an early lunch.

Graeme van Buuren and James Bracey have added 156 to the home side's overnight 243-3 in just 21 overs this morning and they need just one more run for a fourth batting point.

Van Buuren has hit two sixes and 22 fours and is 156 not out, with Bracey on 137.

    Hants 608-6 v Surrey 127 & 11-1 - trail by 470

Dom Sibley gets off the mark with a nicely-timed flick into the leg side for four off Keith Barker.

Batting still looks reasonably comfortable out there.

  3. 'The wicket has got slower'published at 12:41 26 May

    Hants 608-6 v Surrey 127 & 6-0 - trail by 475

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

This wicket has got lower and slower as the game has moved through the days.

Hampshire definitely had some good bowling conditions after lunch on day one.

Interesting when Rory Burns won the toss and elected to bat first, in hindsight of course, that was probably not a great decision.

But Hampshire would have also batted first.

  4. Postpublished at 12:40 26 May

    Kent 184-4 v Essex 591-7 dec

Matt Parkinson has really thrown himself into his batting with Kent.

He plays a very good sweep shot off Simon Harmer to move up to 31.

And now he drives Matt Critchley for four in the next over, before picking up another couple.

He has faced 121 balls and is doing a terrific job for his side.

  5. Postpublished at 12:39 26 May

    Hants 608-6 v Surrey 127 & 6-0 - trail by 475

Michael Neser sinks to his knees as the Hants slip cordon let out a loud appeal for lbw.

He beats Dom Sibley who goes back and strikes the opener just above the pad. A little high.

We're still waiting for our first lbw dismissal in this match.

    Maiden.

  6. Postpublished at 12:38 26 May

    Glos 399-4 v Derbys 526

We just mentioned Graeme van Buuren and James Bracey breaking a county fifth-wicket partnership record previously held by WG Grace.

Looking down the list, we find that WG still holds the ninth-wicket record with someone called Sidney Kitcat.

He must have been the favourite player of chocolate lovers everywhere.

Oh, there was another van Buuren boundary there, by the way, edged past first slip off Luis Reece.

  7. Postpublished at 12:37 26 May

    Leics 292-6 v Glamorgan 387

Zain-ul-Hassan's radar strays to a grateful Ben Cox who turns it off his legs through square leg for four to get off the mark.

It gets the deficit down to double figures.

Cox then lashes ul-Hassan through the offside for back-to-back boundaries.

Leicestershire need 95 more runs for parity.

  8. Postpublished at 12:31 26 May

    Hants 608-6 v Surrey 127 & 6-0 - trail by 475

Michael Neser reaches for the sky as he almost takes the edge of Dom Sibley's forward defensive prod.

Just the Rory Burns single from the over. Tidy stuff.

  9. Away we go againpublished at 12:31 26 May

    Lancashire 103-4 v Warwickshire 284

After four overs lost to the latest shower, the players are back on the field.

And from the first ball, George Balderson brings up Lancashire's hundred with a loose-ish drive that flies over gully and runs down for four.

Olly Hannon-Dalby is the unlucky bowler.

  10. Postpublished at 12:30 26 May

    Kent 163-4 v Essex 591-7 dec

    Glorious shot from Joe Denly!

Impressive use of the feet as he comes down the wicket and hits Simon Harmer for a beautiful six over long on.

Denly has had enough of being bogged down, it seems.

  11. 150 for Graeme van Buurenpublished at 12:30 26 May

    Glos 393-4 v Derbys 526

Graeme van Buuren goes from 100 to 150 in just 28 balls.

The latest landmark arrives with a single off Anuj Dal.

The partnership is now 262, a new county fifth-wicket record, beating the 261 by WG Grace and William Moberly at Cheltenham, all the way back in 1876.

You would imagine there would be some sort of fine involved for expunging WG from the record books.

  12. 'An important breakthrough for Glamorgan'published at 12:29 26 May

    Leics 283-6 v Glamorgan 387

    Richard Rae
    BBC Radio Leicester Sport

A brief stay at the crease today for Peter Handscomb.

He got away with one or two but not that one.

He only added one to his overnight score before being pinned lbw by Timm van der Gugten.

Glamorgan have a second bowling bonus point and get the early breakthrough and an important one.

  13. Postpublished at 12:28 26 May

    Glos 383-4 v Derbys 526

We asked yesterday whether Daryn Dupavillon's surname rhymes with 'super-villain' - you know Lex Luthor, The Joker, that kind of bod.

He must be thinking some pretty villainous thoughts at the moment as Graeme van Buuren continues his assault with three successive fours in his latest over.

GvB is now 148 not out.

  14. Surrey begin second inningspublished at 12:28 26 May

    Hants 608-6 v Surrey 127 & 5-0 - trail by 476

Surrey have to bat around 40 minutes before lunch and Rory Burns will face the first ball from Keith Barker.

They then have the small matter of five sessions to save the game.

Rory Burns pushes the first ball through the vacant mid-off area fo two and then follows it with two more and then a single.

Five from the first over. Michael Neser will take the next.

  15. WICKET Handscomb lbw b van der Gugten 103published at 12:24 26 May

    Leics 283-6 v Glamorgan 387

The interruptions don't seem to have helped Peter Handscomb who adds just one run to his overnight score before succumbing.

Timm van der Gugten gets a little movement off the scene and the Australian is pinned in front by one which kept low.

Big wicket for Glamorgan who still lead by 105.

    Ben Cox joins Scott Currie.

  16. Postpublished at 12:22 26 May

    Glos 357-4 v Derbyshire 526

Three batting points now for Gloucestershire after Graeme van Buuren pulls Sam Conners for six and adds back to back four off Daryn Dupavillon.

Conners tries again and James Bracey hooks a bouncer for four before van Buuren lifts a fuller one over backward square for another maximum.

Derbyshire's bowlers must be enjoying this pitch as much as the home side's attack did.

  17. Play resumes at Grace Roadpublished at 12:20 26 May

    Leics 283-5 v Glamorgan 387

Good news - the players are back on after the blotter gets to work on the Grace Road outfield.

Zain-ul-Hassan will resume his first over of the day.

Peter Handscomb defends the fourth ball before collecting his first single of the day to move to 103.

Three more overs have been lost for the day - taking the total to 11.

There's some threatening clouds approaching so there may be more delays I'm afraid.

  18. 'Parkinson looks more comfortable than Denly'published at 12:19 26 May

    Kent 154-4 v Essex 591-7 dec

    Ben Watts
    BBC Radio Kent

The night watchman Matt Parkinson looks more comfortable than Joe Denly at the moment.

Denly almost looks a bit frustrated that he's not been able to score a bit more freely than he has.

We've had overnight rain but it's currently sunny but it just feels like it's slowed up the outfield a a bit. There's been a couple of shots that haven't gone all the way for four that really looked like they potentially deserved a boundary.

  19. 50 partnershippublished at 12:19 26 May

    Kent 155-4 v Essex 591-7 dec

Joe Denly clips one into the onside and he jogs through for the single to bring up the 50 partnership with Matt Parkinson.

It has not exactly been speedy, but this duo are eating up time.

  20. Rain stops playpublished at 12:15 26 May

    Lancashire 99-4 v Warwickshire 284

Yes, it is going to be one of those days!

We have had about 10 minutes of play and Lancashire have added 13 runs but the rain has returned.
