  3. Aus 244-6published at 45 overs

Alex Carey does his best to spoil Adil Rashid's figures, powerfully lashing the England spinner through mid-wicket for four.

The final two balls of the over go for singles and that's Rashid finished - he's gone for 0-56, with 21 of those runs coming from his first three overs.

Five overs left in this innings - Australia scored 44 from their last five, what can they get from the next 30 balls?

It's been an exceptional comeback from Alex Carey. Dropped from the Australia squad in October last year, he's been out of this side for almost a year but come back in due to a minor injury to Josh Inglis. He's made a match-winning innings in the last match and now a 50 here!

Glenn Maxwell's gone and the gamble's worked! Maxwell didn't hit it as square as he was planning to, but dragged it a bit, hit it out to square and the catch is taken!

    Maxwell c Carse b Livingstone 30 (Aus 226-6)

Maxwell slogs to Carse at cover!

Was that a plan? Lure out some indiscipline with some part-time bowling? Either way, it's worked.

Livingstone delivers a full toss that Maxwell elaborately reverse sweeps to four at the point boundary, but he mistimes the following delivery, firing the ball straight at Carse who takes a catch just above the ground.

    England have their man.

I am surprised Liam Livingstone has come on now! When you haven't bowled this long, it's difficult. But I think Harry Brook thinks it's worth a gamble.

A late introduction into the attack for Liam Livingstone, who takes the ball for the first time in for the 42nd over.

Imtheparrot: On the subject of castle cricket grounds. Balmoral is the long time home of Crathie CC and, on the odd occasion, one or two royals. I can remember playing there many years ago and there were enough corgis strolling along on the roadside boundary for a Second XI.

Brydon Carse would be annoyed by that. That is not the way he would have wanted to end his spell. But there's been plenty of positives in there from Carse in front of a home crowd full of support for his efforts!

  15. Aus 212-5published at 41 overs

Beautifully timed from Carey, an exquisite pull sends Carse's delivery to the boundary.

He follows that up by turning the final delivery of the over round the corner, just beating Jamie Smith to reach the ropes behind the keeper.

That's Carse done, he finishes with figures of 1-55 from his ten overs.

  19. Aus 196-5published at 39 overs

Superb stuff from Maxwell, opening himself up to lash Carse away to the mid-wicket ropes.

He closes the over on 14 from 16 with two fours.

At what point will he accelerate?
