    Oh Maccio... (18:40)

    We're all blaming Maccio, right?!

I believe the loss of Will Jacks is entirely the fault of Maccio in Shropshire.

What a shot that is from Harry Brook, giving him room outside the leg stump and lifting it up and over. Actually, it's a similar ball and shot to the one that Will Jacks played to get out - only this one came out of the middle of the bat and flew through backward point!

  7. Eng 196-3published at 31.1 overs

Harry Brook wastes no time getting going again after the drinks break, cutting uppishly over the point boundary for six.

Just when you think the momentum has swung a little in favour of Australia and all of a sudden, there's a free hit that frees up the game and the crowd are feeling good again!

A big over-step from Josh Hazlewood brings a free hit, which Brook dispatches for a two-bounce four over mid-off. That moves him past 80, his previous ODI high score.

Cameron Green finds himself struggling with his line to Brook, firing down successive balls that called for wides on height.

When he does go a little fuller, Brook whips him square and gets down the other end, with three more singles following.

At this stage, Australia were 145-4.

    Andy Zaltzman
    Statistician on Test Match Special

That 156-run third-wicket partnership between Will Jacks and Harry Brook is England's third highest against Australia in ODI cricket and the fourth highest by any team against Australia in this format. The highest is the 221-run partnership put on by Joe Root and Jason Roy at MCG back in January 2018.

Brook cutely plays the returning Josh Hazlewood for three to deep third, where Cameron Green retrieves the ball well.

The England skipper moves to 75.
