This is officially England's biggest T20 defeat in terms of runs.

You have to say it's one of their worst defeats in any format given the statistics.

They have been mauled in Mumbai.

    There's a spike.

England have been bowled out in 10.3 overs. They have been beaten by 150 - yes, one hundred and fifty - runs.

    India take the series 4-1.

    Is this it?

India think Mark Wood has gloved his first ball behind.

    Rashid c Jurel b Shami 6 (Eng 97-9)

    There's the ninth!

This thrashing is almost complete after Adil Rashid top-edges a pull into the hands of the wicketkeeper.

India have been sensational. There's a reason they haven't lost any of their past 17 T20 series at home, I guess.

    Shot!

Adil Rashid just stands there and throws has hands at a shorter ball from Shivam Dube.

It races for four to remind us what a good pitch this is.

  7. Postpublished at 16:18 Greenwich Mean Time

India were 136-2 after nine overs of their innings. It'd be a good one to win from here...

After the first 2 games I thought England were getting better. But the team selections and bowling strategies are so poor. It just puts too much pressure on the batsmen when we win the toss. It is becoming embarrassing now.

Abhishek Sharma is the 34th player to score a hundred, take a wicket and take a catch in a T20 match.

He's only the fourth to do so in a T20I between Test playing nations, alongside Glenn Maxwell, Colin Munro and Shane Watson.

    Bethell b Dube 10 (Eng 90-8)

Shivam Dube has another. Jacob Bethell swings across the line to the all-rounder's medium-paced dobbers and is bowled.

This is going to be a thrashing for the ages.

  12. Eng 90-7published at 9 overs

    Target 248

England need to get to 158 to avoid their worst T20 defeat in terms of runs.

That looks a long way off with Jofra Archer in already but let's be honest this match was lost an hour ago.

  13. wicket

    Overton c Suryakumar b Abhishek 1 (Eng 90-7)

Kieran's going to have to add a new record to his spreadsheet!

India's worldie of a day continues as Suryakumar Yadav takes a stunner running back from extra cover to see off Jamie Overton.

It's Abhishek Sharma's second wicket to go with his 135.

England's heaviest T20 defeat in terms of runs is currently 90 runs. They were beaten by that margin by India (Colombo 2012) and South Africa (Southampton 2022).

    Carse c Chakravarthy b Abhishek 3 (Eng 87-6)

    He can do no wrong!

Abhishek Sharma is having a day to remember. His first delivery is a half-tracker but Brydon Carse only drills it to long-on.

He stands there stunned with his hands on his head.

  16. Postpublished at 16:08 Greenwich Mean Time

Now Abhishek Sharma is going to have a bowl.

    He'll probably take a hat-trick...

  17. Eng 87-5published at 8 overs

Need 161 more runs in 72 balls

Six balls, one wicket and five singles.

Some might say Shivam Dube is a better bowler than we gave him credit for.

It's still his first bowl in an international T20 since July.

    Salt c Jurel b Dube 55 (Eng 82-5)

Ha. Of course Shivam Dube strikes with his first ball...

All of the talk on Friday was about how Dube was not a good bowler. His first delivery is a slower ball that takes the edge of Phil Salt's bat.

  19. Postpublished at 16:03 Greenwich Mean Time

Shivam Dube, the player who was controversially concussion subbed in the previous game, is going to bowl here.

    Mind games?

    Target 248

The over ends with another six as young Jacob Bethell, yet to fire in this series, lifts Varun Chakravarthy over the leg side.

It looked like it would fall into the hands of deep square leg but just has the legs to go for six.
