Somerset 170-4 v Notts
Tom Banton has the first boundary of his innings as he steers Liam Patterson-White to third man. We'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say that was a deliberate shot.

Malik c Simpson b Sandhu 9 (Sussex v Warwickshire 189-4)
Sussex have picked up 3-15 in short order to take charge.
Gurinder Sandhu rumbles in and gets one to shape away from the right-handed Zen Malik is he comes forward in defence and he can only feather an edge through to keeper John Simpson.
Sam Hain is joined by Ed Barnard, the Bears' leading scorer this season.
The duo have work to do.
Sussex v Warwickshire 189-3
We've entered a new phase of the game at Hove.
Those two quick wickets have given Sussex the opportunity to bowl at two fresh batters, and Sam Hain and Zen Malik are taking their time trying to get up to speed, though Malik does have nine from 16 balls, two of those were boundaries.
Hampshire v Worcs 201-2
Jake Libby moves to 63 with just his fifth four, clipping a stray one from Scott Currie off his pads and to the fine leg boundary.
it brings up the Pears 200 and moves the third-wicket stand past 140 with Adam Hose, who is unbeaten on 87 with 14 boundaries along the way.
In a pretty miserable summer for Worcestershire thus far, today has been a positive one, so far...
Surrey 184-2 v Durham
One of Sam Curran's least aggressive strokes so far in this innings, a leg-glance off Matthew Potts for a single, makes him the third Surrey player to pass 50 today.
Curran, who bludgeoned back to back fours off George Drissell in the previous over, gets to his half-century from 48 deliveries.
It's a third 50 of the season for the Surrey all-rounder.
Compton c McManus b Broad 66 (Kent 181-3 v Northants)
Ben Compton's 100% conversion rate this season is over.
He pushes hard at a ball from Justin Broad and is caught behind, although he isn't thrilled by the decision and stands his ground for a number of seconds before walking off.
Division Two's leading scorer now has 895 runs for the season.
Somerset 162-4 v Notts
Bad miss.
Tom Banton, on two, edges and the chance is floored at first slip.
No real excuse there for Liam Patterson-White, it was pretty much straight at him.

The Kookaburra cricket ball is obviously a good enough product to be used around the rest of the world.
So what I'm not quite clear about is why it's use in England should be so problematic?
I can see that it is and I'm not denying the problem because enough people have told me and I can see it for myself in that it's not working.
Is it the physics? What's different about the conditions in England that is making it unusable?
Yorkshire v Essex 140-1
A special guest at Clifton Park today and he will no doubt be enjoying Essex's batting performance so far. Yes, it's former England skipper Graham Gooch.
Keaton Jennings continues to lead the Lancashire fightback at Chesterfield - the opener and former Red Rose captain is 70 not out as his side have advanced to 158-6 against Derbyshire.
Leaders Leicestershire have finally broken the Middlesex opening partnership of 173, with Josh de Caires caught behind off Roman Walker for 76. Sam Robson is still there for the visitors, on 79.
Ben Compton is unbeaten on 63, with Kent progressing to 176-2 against Northamptonshire - although Ekansh Singh fell to Dom Leech, one short of his 50.
Gloucestershire, meanwhile, are 136-2 against Glamorgan with Ollie Price and Miles Hammond both set after the departures of opening pair Cameron Bancroft and Joe Phillips.

It is what it is with the Kookaburra ball, that's what has been decided but it just feels like a shame - there's a really good crowd in here today - and it's tough for the bowling side.
Somerset 157-4 v Notts
Tom Abell runs Lyndon James down to third man for an easy single and there is his 50, from 126 balls faced.
A fine innings so far by the ex-Somerset skipper, who now has Tom Banton out there with him following James Rew's dismissal.
Somerset 156-4 v Notts
Poor start to a new over by Lyndon James, who is short and wide and that's an easy four for Tom Abell.
James overcompensates with the next one, which is a better length but too straight, and Abell flicks to the fine leg boundary.
He is now 49 not out.

A very smart, reactive and reflex catch by Lyndon James.
It was a very solid connection by James Rew but he just couldn't keep it down and it's straight back towards the midriff of James who takes the sharp catch.
Notts needed that.
Hampshire v Worcs 177-2
A let-off for Adam Hose who clips Scott Currie straight at Fletcha Middleton at short leg, but can't get his hands down in time to prevent the ball hitting his foot and rolling away. Maybe a bit harsh to call it a drop, it's a hard one, but it was a chance, however.
The partnership is 117 from 206 balls and how the hosts wanted a breakthrough.
Hose remains on 69* with Jake Libby unbeaten on 57.
Yorks v Essex 137-1
Still no sign of a breakthrough for Yorkshire in this afternoon session, with Dean Elgar and Tom Westley content to keep building gradually.
Overseas signing Will Sutherland has joined George Hill in the bowling attack, but the batters have basically remained untroubled.
Westley and Elgar are more or less keeping pace with each other, on 61 and 60 respectively.
Yates c Hudson-Prentice b Crocombe 93 (Sussex v Warwickshire 175-3)
No century for Rob Yates.
He's pulled a short one from Henry Crocombe flat and straight into the hands of Fynn Hudson-Prentice at backward square leg.
142 balls with 15 fours but he's fallen into Josh Simpson's field setting trap, and that's three for Crocombe, who has put it where he's needed to for the most part.
Sam Hain is joined by Zen Malik with both still on 0.
Rew c and b James 58 (Somerset 145-4 v Notts)
What a bonus for Notts.
James Rew checks a drive and Lyndon James takes a return catch by his right hip in his follow-through.
Rew will be disappointed by that, as he was looking well set for a big score - and by the fact that he and Tom Abell have been parted one run short of a 100 partnership.
Surrey 162-2 v Durham
Durham have finally delved into the spin drawer, with George Drissell into the action from the Vauxhall End.
Drissell's first delivery is loose and punched past gully to the fence by Dom Sibley as the bowlers continue to toil.
Sam Curran is also finding the rope with regularity, slamming Jimmy Neesham to the cover boundary to raise the 50 partnership. The left-hander is 30 not out from just 26 balls.

The day seems to be sort of hanging in the balance as to who is going to seize the advantage.
It's very much even stevens at the moment.
