Everyone says about a substitution, what about the comedic value of someone walking out in a moon boot?
It does look as if Rishabh Pant is going to bat in this innings. Credit to him if he does.
Oooh, that almost squeezed through.
A yorker from Ben Stokes and Washington Sundar gets down low to defend, ending up with his bat almost horizontal to the ground.
That means there's a little gap for the ball to pass under... and it rolls just wide of off stump.

Washington Sundar started his first class career opening the batting and has two first-class hundreds.
Changes at both ends for England as Brydon Carse replaces Jofra Archer after drinks.
Washington Sundar sends his first ball for two through point, and takes a single later in the over to move to 14 from 42 deliveries.

One wicket this morning and it came in the second over as Jofra Archer struck with a new ball that was just 11 deliveries old.
He drew two edges earlier from India batters before one carried to Harry Brook, who took a fantastic low catch.

India have had more edges than a dodecahedron this morning.

What a morning of cricket. The ball's done plenty more than it did yesterday, there's definitely a bit of nip. India have done a good job to only lose one wicket.
A solid riposte from Shardul Thakur, taking advantage of some width from Ben Stokes and lashing the England captain through the covers for four.
That's the end of the first hour of the day, and the players will take drinks.
'No stopping that!' - Thakur hits Stokes for four

It's gone past the gloves and grazed the shoulder.
Ind 302-5
Clipping the shoulder.
A good decision from Rod Tucker and England lose a review.
Well now.
Ben Stokes brings himself onto bowl and goes up for a caught behind off Shardul Thakur, who wanders away from his crease in the aftermath of the delivery.
Nothing from umpire Rod Tucker, England are going to take a look.

There's certainly a bit of seam movement out there.

I don’t think Rishabh Pant intends to do any running when he bats. He will, I imagine, stand and slog. Still wouldn’t bet against him getting a 100

Chris Woakes and Jofra Archer have been able to get 50% more movement in the air and around 50% off the pitch compared to yesterday.
Hmm, how do we interpret that "per team requirements", then? We've just had sight of Pant in the dressing room and he's in whites.
Meanwhile we do get one more over of Jofra Archer, with Washington Sundar edging his first delivery between slips and gully for his first four.
That brings up India's 300, and the India spinner doesn't score from the remainder of the over.
