    Right then, Rishabh Pant news...

"Rishabh Pant will not be performing wicket-keeping duties for the remainder of the match. Dhruv Jurel will assume the role of wicketkeeper. Despite his injury, Rishabh Pant has joined the team on and will be available to bat as per team requirements."

That has been posted on social media by the BCCI. Obviously it doesn't confirm the extent of the injury, but it's surprising to hear Pant could bat. No runners, remember.

    Andy Zaltzman
    Test Match Special statistician

There has been 660 times in Test history that a team have had five or more left-handers but India have never been one of those teams.

  4. Ind 298-5published at 94 overs

Blimey, that absolutely hooped down the leg side.

Chris Woakes, bowling round the wicket to the left-handed Washington Sundar, pitches his third delivery roughly on off stump, but sees the ball fly away for five wides, easily beating the despairing dive of Jamie Smith.

In Test cricket, Jofra Archer averages 22 against left-handers and 36 against right-handers.

Jofra Archer's first over was absolutely fantastic. He got the wicket of Ravindra Jadeja but he hasn't been quite as accurate since then.

  7. Ind 290-5published at 93 overs

A single apiece for India's batters in Jofra Archer's fifth over of the day.

He's only tended to bowl spells of around that length in this series, that might be him done for now.

    Michael Vaughan
Former England captain on BBC Test Match Special

This is the first time ever in Test history that India have played with five left-handers.

  9. Ind 288-5published at 92 overs

Washington Sundar gets off the mark from his 19th delivery, knocking Chris Woakes' opening ball out to mid-wicket.

He gets two more from the over's final delivery, edging two past slip and gully.

Shardul Thakur's footwork has been immaculate this morning. I'm really impressed with the way he's played, England are going to struggle to get him out if he continues like this.

That was a horrible bouncer from Jofra Archer. It was an indescribable ball, I don't know where that came form. He's ben a bit erratic this over after such a good start.

  12. Ind 284-5published at 91 overs

Jamie Smith has to do a bit of diving in Jofra Archer's fourth over, throwing himself to his right to grab a delivery that swung late, then hurling himself down the leg side to the following ball.

There's not much he can do for Archer's penultimate delivery, an incredibly short ball that brushes the keeper's gloves on its way to flying away for five wides.

This is Shardul Thakur's 13th Test and his 21st innings, he has four Test half centuries.

Meanwhile, seven of England's deliveries today have been played at and missed and seven have been edged.

  14. Ind 279-5published at 90 overs

A bit of a formula developing here, as Shardul Thakur again takes a single from the opening delivery of Chris Woakes' over then Washington Sundar sees out the rest of it.

18 scoreless deliveries for the India spinner now.

The ball has behaved in a polite way for England this morning.

I feel like we'll get a bit of everything today.

The odd ball is misbehaving, the odd one is just squatting down a bit and staying low.

In a day’s play where there was an average of just 0.6º of seam movement yesterday, Archer seamed the ball more than double this both ways in his first over of today.

If Jofra can do this, anyone else slightly terrified of what Bumrah might do?

  19. Ind 278-5published at 89 overs

More lovely stuff from Jofra Archer, beating the bat of Shardul Thakur with his first delivery.

Thakur gets off strike with a single into the leg side, then Washington Sundar sees off the final two balls of the over.

He's still scoreless after 13 deliveries.

Paul Thompson: Nearly half of Australia’s batting line up could be lefties. Archer just has to stay fit for the Ashes - he could be the difference between lifting the urn or not!
