WICKETpublished at 10:52 BST 26 September

    Lawes c Orr b Abbott 18 (Hants 248 v Surrey 147 & 237-7)

Great catch from Ali Orr, five for Kyle Abbott and a huge breakthrough for Hants.

With the lead at 136 runs for Surrey that has a feel of a big wicket and it was a suitably good catch from Orr.

Abbott has banged on in short and Tom Lawes has pulled but got a top edge which has flown to Orr at midwicket.

There was plenty to do but Orr has reached up behind himself and grabbed with one hand.

Abbott has 5-55 and 56 for the season, the sixth year he has 50 plus wickets for the season.

What a warhorse he has been for Hants and he could be instrumental in keeping them up here.

  2. Postpublished at 10:51 BST 26 September

    Northants 189 v Leics 429 & 100-2

10 runs off the Justin Broad over, including a four off the bat of Lewis Hill, driven through the off side and a rather more streaky four from Rishi Patel, driven and edged wide of the two slips.

    Leicestershire are up and running.

The innings 100 arrives in the next over (the 30th) as Lewis Hill punches George Scrimshaw through point on the back foot.

  3. 'Rare to see Westley get less than double figures'published at 10:49 BST 26 September

    Essex 307-3 v Somerset 433

    Victoria Polley
    BBC Essex Sports Editor

Craig Overton with his third wicket of these Essex innings. It was pulled by Tom Westley looking to get that shorter delivery away.

It's been rare in recent games that we've seen less than double figures from Westley, he's been in a fine vane of form.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 10:46 BST 26 September

    Roderick c Coles b Unadkat 27 (Worcs 281-8, lead by 54 runs)

We are in the death spiral of Worcs' Division One season here with Jaydev Unadkat removing the chief remaining barrier to victory in Gareth Roderick.

James Coles is an excellent slipper and moves smartly low to his left at second to grab that edge off Roderick's defensive block.

  5. 'We can take a draw out of the equation'published at 10:45 BST 26 September

    Hants 248 v Surrey 147 & 235-6

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

This is an interesting one. I think we can take a draw out of the equation unless the weather plays a part.

This game I think will be done either way. I think I would rather be in Surrey's position with runs on the board because whatever Hampshire will have to chase they'll be a bit of pressure there.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 10:45 BST 26 September

    Westley c Thomas b Overton 7 (Essex 307-3 v Somerset 433)

Short ball from Craig Overton which Tom Westley tries to hook.

Overton has all three wickets to fall in the innings.

The ball is on to him a little quicker than expected and he's holed out to Josh Thomas in the deep.

The Essex captain departs early and Charlie Allison is in.

  7. Postpublished at 10:44 BST 26 September

    Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 13-3

Three slips in for Brett Hutton and Will Young leaves the ball outside the off stump.

The fourth ball is straighter and tapped leg side for a tight single.

lovely shot from Sam Hain to get off the mark, forward and across to push the ball down the ground for four.

  8. Postpublished at 10:43 BST 26 September

    Yorks 321-5 v Durham 346

A good first over from Ben Raine with a delivery which must have been a millimetre or two from the edge of Matthew Revis's bat.

Raine has given so much for Durham's cause in this game with 101 and 3-40 in 20 overs of unstinting effort.

More will be needed with Yorkshire quite happy to play for a draw which would guarantee their survival.

  9. Essex pass 300 at Chelmsfordpublished at 10:40 BST 26 September

    Essex 303-2 v Somerset 433

Slightly crooked bat from Tom Wesltey as he opens the face to guide Craig Overton to deep third for the four runs to pass 300.

But it is a second batting point even so, arriving in 69 overs.

  10. 'An error of judgement from Gibbon'published at 10:40 BST 26 September

    Worcs 123 & 270-7 v Sussex 350

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

An error of judgement from Ben Gibbon, played no shot, taken on the pad and Worcestershire lose the first wicket of the third day.

Ollie Robinson gets his third wicket of the innings.

The worst possible start for Worcestershire this morning.

  11. Postpublished at 10:39 BST 26 September

    Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 8-3

Sam Hain gets through the Brett Hutton over and now the focus switches to Mo Abbas

Will Young gets a single off the third ball and Hain shoulders arms outside off.

He's across to the last ball to tap it leg side but there's no timing on this occasion.

    Essex 299-2 v Somerset 433

Tom Westley sees out the Overton over.

Lewis Gregory will bowl from the other end and Dean Elgar takes a single off the second ball.

Three runs to Tom Wesley as the Essex captain strokes to the pavilion and is denied a four by a fine diving stop.

Elgar is beaten outside off stump but survives the over. Early sign of encouragement for the Somerset bowlers.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 10:35 BST 26 September

    Gibbon lbw b Robinson 13 (Worcs 123 & 270-7 v Sussex 350

The nightwatchman's stay at the crease lasts four balls as Ben Gibbon is struck in front by Ollie Robinson offering no stroke.

The lead is still just 44 runs and three wickets are left in the tank.

  14. 'There's still a cricket match to be won'published at 10:34 BST 26 September

    Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 7-3

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

Yesterday was a momentous day in Nottinghamshire's history but there's still a cricket match to be won of course between these two fine sides.

This match really is at an interesting stage because Warwickshire really need build a partnership in the early part of the day.

The conditions are set fair, it's grey and overcast but the forecast is dry for the rest of the day.

  15. Day Three begins at Northamptonpublished at 10:33 BST 26 September

    Northants 189 v Leics 429 & 86-2

Lewis Hill faces fast bowler George Scrimshaw first up on 16 not out.

    Rishi Patel has 20.

The lead is already substantial. How many more do the Division Two champions want?

  16. Day Three starts at Chelmsfordpublished at 10:33 BST 26 September

    Essex 295-2 v Somerset 433

Essex were one of the relegation-threatened teams going into this match.

But the hosts batted superbly yesterday in response to a more than respectable Somerset score.

Three more batting points from here (or a draw) will put them in the clear and out of the relegation conversation.

Essex captain Tom Westley is new to the crease after the wicket of Simon Harmer four balls into the Craig Overton over last night.

Dean Elgar starts at the non-striker's end on 111.

  17. Play at Southamptonpublished at 10:33 BST 26 September

    Hants 248 v Surrey 147 & 225-6

Kyle Abbott has the ball in hand as day three gets under way Tom Lawes is in his sights. Dot ball to start.

  18. Under way at Headingleypublished at 10:32 BST 26 September

    Yorks 314-5 v Durham 346

Matthew Potts fires down the first delivery of a crucial day for these two sides and Matthew Revis blocks it back to him.

  19. Day Three under way at Trent Bridgepublished at 10:32 BST 26 September

    Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 7-3

More applause for the hosts as they take to the field and rightly so after the heroics from this team last night.

The clouds are out and the ball is new. Tough conditions.

Will Young is in the middle with Sam Hain and the latter will be facing Brett Hutton.

Five balls left in the over from the Radcliffe Road End, following the wicket of Ethan Bamber just before stumps last night.

  20. Play at New Roadpublished at 10:31 BST 26 September

    Worcs 123 & 271-6 v Sussex 350

Ollie Robinson bowls the first ball of the morning to Gareth Roderick who turns it off his legs for a single.
