    Sundar c Burns b Chahar 11 (Hants 117-7, target 181)

Washington Sundar kicks off the evening session with a big four down on one knee on the second ball from Rahul Chahar.

    On the second he's gone.

The India international has had a second expansive drive at a tempter outside of off and he's nicked to Rory Burns at slip.

You cannot understate what a big blow that is to Hampshire.

James Fuller and Scott Currie both average 23 in first class cricket and if ever they were needed to punch above their weight it is now.

  10. 'Essex will have their tails up'published at 15:36 BST 26 September

    Essex 438 v Somerset 433 & 63-4

Those stumps at the Sir Alastair Cook End are really taking a hammering from the Essex bowlers.

Essex will definitely be feeling that they've had the better things just as Somerset will for the first session and a bit today.

Essex will have their tails up.

  11. Tea at Southamptonpublished at 15:32 BST 26 September

    Hants 113-6 (target: 181)

Plenty to think about and discuss for Hants as they try and plot a path out of the mire they find themselves in.

Still 68 needed with four wickets in hand but more pressingly they need to think of a strategy to negate these two spinners.

Dan Lawrence (2-41) and Rahul Chahar (4-27) have reduced Hants from a on track 61-0 to a distinctly 'off-road' 113-6.

Still in James Fuller they have an aggressive batsman who can score well and in partner Washington Sundar they have an adept player of spin.

It is going to be gripping when they come back. And maybe not in a good way for the Hants faithful and outgoing coach Adi Birrell.

    Notts 20-0 - target 18

    Nathan Gilchrist to Haseeb Hameed....

Full with a bit of width and driven through cover point for four!

Notts have won seven in the season!

Haseeb Hameed raises his bat to all sides of the ground.

He finishes on a five not out he will treasure.

Ben Slater is 15 not out and on exactly 1000 for the season.

Warwickshire were blown away by Dillon Pennington and Brett Hutton today, who shared six wickets between them - but a mid-table finish is still assured for the Bears.

Notts bow out in style for 2025 as the Division One champions, completeing seven wins in 14 games - one season on from just hanging on to Division One status in 2024.

They are emphatically Division One now and worthy champions.

The Championship trophy is being brought on to the field.

    Yorks 465-9 v Durham 346

They are off again... to check on the Ryder Cup scores.

The light does not seem noticeably worse than it was a minute or two ago but it is enough to cause a delay.

A welcome development in the Durham dressing room.
