    Essex 438 v Somerset 433 & 40-2

James Rew is off the mark in style with successive fours driven through cover off the back foot and clipped through square leg off the bowling of Charlie Bennett.

A leg bye follows and Josh Thomas picks up four with a drive through cover.

    Yorks 454-8 (lead by 109 runs) v Durham 346

An extended final session begins after the light improves.

Matthew Potts has Jordan Thompson in his sights and the Yorks batter clips him for a single to bring Matt Milnes on strike.

  3. 'A disappointing end Lammonby's season'published at 15:00 BST 26 September

    Essex 438 v Somerset 433 & 23-2

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

That's the second time that Charlie Bennett accounted for Tom Lammonby lbw in this match. He got him in the first innings after he made 47 and this time he's got him without a run on the board.

A disappointing end to Lammonby's season. He will finish with 810 runs, with two centuries and three half centuries.

Good but not brilliant. He's a better player than that, maybe just a little late on the shot and maybe just playing it a little bit across the line but a good piece of bowling by Bennett.

    Brown lbw b Lawrence 5 (Hants 94-4, target 181)

Ben Brown had had a couple of shaky moments trying to sweep against Rahul Chahar in the previous over.

Now he has tries to get forward to Dan Lawrence but it has raced through and hit him straight in front.

    Out.

  5. WARWICKSHIRE ALL OUT FOR 133 AND NOTTS NEED 18published at 14:57 BST 26 September

    Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 133

Nathan Gilchrist drives... Brett Hutton dives but cannot get his hand under the ball. It bounced in front to be fair and he's on the deck.

The third ball is driven through extra cover...for two.

A rap on the pad but it's too leg side to be LBW.

Got him this time! Gilchrist shoulders arms and the ball jags back into the stumps.

Hutton has 3-30 and Dillon Pennington 3-52 with all of the latter's wickets coming in a single over.

Notts need 18 for a seventh win out of 14 to cap a wonderful season in which they regained the Championship crown for the first time in 15 years.

    Lammonby LBW b Bennett 0 (Essex 438 v Somerset 433 & 23-2)

Somserset's chances of finishing second are dealt a blow by Charlie Bennett who prizes Tom Lammonby out early.

Full length, nipping in and beating the bat in front of the stumps with Lammonby half forward.

    James Rew is in next.

  7. Postpublished at 14:52 BST 26 September

    Hants 89-3 (target: 181)

Dan Lawrence has bamboozled Ali Orr twice there.

The first spins up off the face of the bat with the Hants batter not really sure where it was falling.

And now he fires one through which fool everybody, going for four byes through Ben Foakes.

  9. 'It feel like those 98 runs are long away''published at 14:50 BST 26 September

    Hants 83-3, target: 181

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

Toby Albert playing from the crease has been beaten by the turn and Hampshire are three down here.

This was never going to be easy but it does feel now as though those 98 runs are going to be quite a long way away.

  10. Postpublished at 14:50 BST 26 September

    Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 131-9

Dan Mousley leaves Mo Abbas outside the off stump.

Two balls left in the over and the field comes in.

A swing and a miss fifth ball going down the track.

A drive and a miss going forward to end the over and now Brett Hutton potentially has a full six deliveries to bowl to Nathan Gilchrist.

  11. wicket

    Vaughan b Porter 8 (Essex 438 v Somerset 433 & 22-1)

    Spectacular dismissal.

Jamie Porter has beaten Archie Vaughan on to the drive and the ball canons into middle stump.

Tom Lammonby to bat at three.

    Albert b Chahar 13 (Hants 83-3, target: 181)

    Ooh dear Hampshire.

Rahul Chahar has done Toby Albert with a lovely bit of bowling, getting a rip off a length and bounce.

It takes the off stump and the Hants batsman looks accusingly down the wicket at the pitch mark.

Still 98 needed and these spinners are getting turn.

  13. Postpublished at 14:45 BST 26 September

    Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 131-9

Dan Mousley pushes a ball from Brett Hutton to long on for one to move on to seven.

Nathan Gilchrist is defending "on the up" down the ground.

    Over bowled.

  14. Postpublished at 14:44 BST 26 September

    Northants 28-2 - target 501

James Sales is off he mark, going back to Ian Holland to clip the Leicestershire captain through square leg for four.

Rob Keogh has dropped anchor at the other end. He's on 12 off 32 balls.

Plenty of batting to do here.

  15. Postpublished at 14:42 BST 26 September

    Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 130-9

Dan Mousley fine. He gets away with a leg bye off the fourth ball.

Nathan Gilchrist sees out the over with a four punched down the ground!

Pretty handy shot for a number 11. 14 ahead now.

  16. Tea at Headingleypublished at 14:41 BST 26 September

    Yorks 453-8 v Durham 346

They have taken an early tea in Leeds as they wait for the light to improve.

  17. Postpublished at 14:40 BST 26 September

    Hants 78-2 (target 181)

Hants need just a single every over to keep the finish line in sight but Toby Albert can't resist a drag down from Rahul Chahar, muscling it through midwicket for four.

Another three singles from the third, fourth and sixth deliveries chalks off the requirements for about the next half hour so this is looking good for the hosts.

  18. ouch!

Mousley struck amidshipspublished at 14:40 BST 26 September

    Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 125-9

Every bit as painful as it sounds.

He's dropped his bat, peeled off the gloves and is taking a moment...

  19. Postpublished at 14:39 BST 26 September

    Essex 438 v Somerset 433 & 22-0

Two fours in the over for the very promising Josh Thomas, who made a fine half century in the first innings.

He guides Doug Bracewell to deep third and a slightly loose drive sends the sixth ball flying through point.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:37 BST 26 September

    Dawkins b Reece 0 (Kent 271 & 0-1 v Derbyshire 698-6 dec)

Things aren't getting much better for Kent...

Ben Dawkins scored 61 in the first innings but is out for a two-ball duck in the second.

The bowler you ask? Luis Reece of course, who now has 46 for the campaign.

What chance he takes five to make it to a nice round 50?
