  1. Postpublished at 14:37 BST 26 September

    Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 125-9

Brett Hutton looking to wrap up the innings.

Nathan Gilchrist pushes defensively into the off side.

He gets an inside edge on to his pad and stares at the stumps to make sure the ball didn't hit them.

Close! Loose driving from the crease and the ball just evades the outside edge.

An edge doesn't carry to Jack Haynes at slip.

The fifth ball is swished away to long leg for four past Mo Abbas.

Nine ahead. The last ball is glanced past Kyle Verreynne but oddly no run is taken and now Dan Mousley will face Mo Abbas.

  2. Glos begin follow-onpublished at 14:34 BST 26 September

    Middlesex 634-9 dec v Glos 286 & 1-0

Another team following-on is Gloucestershire who have just started their second innings with Joe Phillips and Ben Charlesworth out in the middle.

  3. KENT ALL OUT FOR 271published at 14:33 BST 26 September

    Kent 271 v Derbyshire 698-6 dec - Kent trail by 427 runs

Luis Reece gets last man Matt Parkinson to bring the Kent first innings to a close.

That's 45 for the season for Division Two's top wicket taker.

Derbyshire will of course enforce the follow on so Reece has a chance at a few more before the day, and season, is out.

  4. Bad light stops playpublished at 14:32 BST 26 September

    Yorks 453-8 v Durham 346

The light has dimmed again at Headingley and the players are off with Yorkshire leading by 107 with two wickets remaining.

  5. 'The pressure is back onpublished at 14:32 BST 26 September

    Hants 66-2, target 181

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

It all felt quite relaxed at 61-0 and now here we are at 66-2.

Nick Gubbins hasn't really enjoyed the best of seasons for Hampshire. They really needed him to put in a bit of a contribution and that has not happened.

The wicket of Fletcha Middleton means that Hampshire have lost two wickets in quick succession.

    The pressure is back on.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:30 BST 26 September

    Mcmanus c Budinger b Wright 7 (Northants 19-2 - target 501)

Chris Wright strikes again. What a game to bow out on.

He retires at the end of this season.

He lures Northants captain Lewis McManus into a lofted drive to Sol Budinger at cover!

James Sales to bat at four.

  7. Postpublished at 14:29 BST 26 September

    Essex 438 v Somerset 433 & 14-0

Archie Vaughan drives Jamie Porter down the ground for four.

He plays the next ball inside the but does so a little late!

    Nine ahead now.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:27 BST 26 September

    Gubbins lbw b Lawrence 1 (Hants 66-2, target 181)

It has been a disappointing season for Nick Gubbins with just one century and three half centuries.

And it finishes with a single figure score and Hants are just putting themselves under pressure again here.

This one has just raced on almost like a top spinner and pinned Gubbins going back late trying to chop the ball away.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:26 BST 26 September

    Ali LBW b Hutton 12 (Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 121-9)

Notts are nearly there. The lead is only five.

Taz Ali is back to Brett Hutton and misses on the drive.

Hit on the knee in front of middle.

Nathan Gilchrist is in at 11.

  10. Bears creep aheadpublished at 14:24 BST 26 September

    Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 121-8

Four runs to Taz Ali, driving Dillon Pennington through cover.

A single apiece to him and Dan Mousley to bring the scores level.

Brett Hutton is in the attack and Mousley drives to mid off for one.

    Notts will bat again.

Taz Ali drills the next ball through mid wicket for four. Five in front.

  11. Postpublished at 14:23 BST 26 September

    Hants 61-1 (target: 181)

Is there a little bit in this pitch for the spinners? Looks like it as there have been a couple of play and misses and two shouts for leg before in the last two overs.

Dan Lawrence and Rahul Chahar are in tandem but could it be time for a bit of Ralphie Albert? Certainly his 7-2 in the first innings showed he is far from out of his depth.

  12. GLOS ALL OUT FOR 286published at 14:23 BST 26 September

    Middlesex 634-9 dec v Glos 286 - Glos trail by 348

Zafar Gohar does get his five wickets for the match to give him season's best figures of 5-53.

Noah Cornwell also bowled well, taking 4-58, with Toby Roland-Jones picking up the other Glos wicket.

Ben Charlesworth top scored with 63 and James Bracey struck 60 for the visitors.

  13. Postpublished at 14:21 BST 26 September

    Essex 438 v Somerset 433 & 6-0

Somerset are off the mark with a couple of leg byes and Archie Vaughan completes the over with a four guided safely to deep third.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:21 BST 26 September

    Middleton b Chahar 18 (Hants 61-1 Target: 181)

Not the greatest shot from Fletcha Middleton as he tries to hoik Rahul Chahar to cow corner and missing but he has done a job in getting the chase off the ground.

  15. Kent lose ninth wicketpublished at 14:20 BST 26 September

    Kent 271-9 v Derbyshire 698-6 dec

Joey Evison (33), Harry Finch (16) and Corey Flintoff (0) have been dismissed in rapid succession to leave Kent nine down.

They are still 428 behind Derbyshire so will be batting again shortly.

  16. Postpublished at 14:19 BST 26 September

    Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 110-8

Mo Abbas is on and an LBW shout against Dan Mousley is turned down.

Probably hitting but just outside the line.

Mousley gets away with a single carefully guided into the off side.

Taz Ali is forward, pushing to cover for one.

  17. 'Hill will be disappointed be's saved the best till last'published at 14:18 BST 26 September

    Yorks 443-8 v Durham 346

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

Geroge Hill played all round one there, he'll be disappointed, 12 runs short of what would have been his first 100 for quite some time.

But nonetheless, he's come up with his personal best for the 2025 campaign. He's saved the best till last, 221 minutes of batting, 149 ball and 14 fours. Well played George Hill.

  18. Somerset begin their second inningspublished at 14:16 BST 26 September

    Essex 438 v Somerset 433 & 0-0

Archie Vaughan and Josh Thomas will get the innings started.

Vaughan takes guard to Jamie Porter.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:14 BST 26 September

    Hill b Ghafari 88 (Yorks 443-8 v Durham 346)

Nice bit of flight and turn from Shafiq Ghafari and George Hill is on his way.

That was a good knock from George Hill in his part-time role but there will be some frustration he has failed to convert into three figures.

  20. Postpublished at 14:14 BST 26 September

    Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 108-8

Now then... Could Notts wrap this up by an innings?

    Warwickshire still trail by eight.

Taz Ali plays and misses from the crease but somehow survives the Dillon Pennington over.

Pennington took all three of his wickets in his previous over!
