  1. Postpublished at 13:46 BST 26 September

    Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 95-5

Lyndon James bowls to Ed Barnard, who leaves the ball outside off stump.

The third ball is leg side and clipped away for one.

Single to Zen Malik and a tight leave from Barnard.

That ball was nipping back a bit!

  2. Northants begin huge chasepublished at 13:45 BST 26 September

    Northants 0-0 (target 501)

Northants can only bat, bat and bat some more.

Captain Lewis McManus will take first strike, facing Logan van Beek.

Arush Buchake is at the non-striker's end.

  3. Postpublished at 13:42 BST 26 September

    Hants 24-0 (target: 181)

Fletcha Middleton has contributed two from 23 balls in comparison to 18 from 29 for Ali Orr but the partnership has now reduced the runs required to another 157 runs.

Matthew Fisher is getting the ball to move a little and has nipped one back through Orr's defences (not for the first time) just to keep them honest.

  4. Lewis Gregory back on the fieldpublished at 13:42 BST 26 September

    Essex 408-8 v Somerset 433

Noah Thain drives Craig Overton through mid off for four.

The innings deficit is down to 25 and remember, Somerset have been a bowler down after Lewis Gregory left the field.

Wait a moment, he's coming back on.

He had been wringing his hands and limping but the injury is not quite as serious as we thought.

  5. LEICESTERSHIRE DECLAREpublished at 13:39 BST 26 September

    Northants 189 v Leics 429 & 260-5 (target 501)

Leicestershire captain Ian Holland closes the second innings with a very substantial Leicestershire lead.

Northants need an unlikely 501 or to bat out close to five full sessions of play for a draw.

Ben Cox finishes unbeaten on 51, his half century arriving in just 30 balls with six fours and two sixes.

He took 16 runs off the last over of the innings, including that second six, slog swept over square leg.

  6. Essex reach 400published at 13:35 BST 26 September

    Essex 400-8 v Somerset 433

Turned into the on side by Noah Thain off Kasey Aldridge and that's the Essex 400, arriving in the 100th over. Four batting bonus points.

They're safe from the drop zone.

  7. 'A huge wicket'published at 13:35 BST 26 September

    Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 91-5

    Melinda Farrell
Sports broadcaster/journalist on BBC Radio Nottinghamshire

It's a huge wicket because Sam Hain did look quite comfortable, albeit being tested particularly early on, and that partnership between him and Zen Malik really was keeping things at bay.

Now someone has got to come in, and it's never been easy getting in on this pitch.

  8. 'That could be a significant moment'published at 13:32 BST 26 September

    Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 91-5

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

You'd fancy that could be a significant moment in the day's play. It may or may not just open the door towards the middle and lower order.

Nottinghamshire strived long and hard this morning to build on that early wicket from Muhammad Abbas and were held up by that partnership between Sam Hain and Zen Malik.

Hain who always gets runs here, out for just 42 today. Notts will see that as a result.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:32 BST 26 September

    Bracewell c sub (Green) b Overton 0 (Essex 399-8 v Somerset 433)

Craig Overton strikes Doug Bracewell on the pad.

Not out. Close but a tad leg side.

A loose drive and a miss and Bracewell is lucky not to get an inside edge through to the keeper.

Another loose shot! The ball is spooned high in the air...

Caught down the ground by substitute fielder Ben Green!

Overton has six. Charlie Bennett is in the middle.

  10. Postpublished at 13:29 BST 26 September

    Hants 18-0 Target: 181

Confident start after lunch from Hants openers.

Ali Orr now has 16 from 22 deliveries although he has played inside that one from Matthew Fisher.

A little reminder to keep the concentration up.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:28 BST 26 September

    Hain c Verreynne b James 42 (Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 91-5)

Big wicket. Sam Hain is forward to Lyndon James, defending slightly away from the body and he's edged it to keeper Kyle Verreynne.

    Ed Barnard to bat next.

  12. 6 runs

Postpublished at 13:27 BST 26 September

    Northants 189 v Leics 429 & 243-5

    What a shot.

George Scrimshaw is brisk and Ben Cox has scooped him over the keeper's head for a maximum.

He smashes the fifth ball of the over through cover for four.

  13. Lewis Gregory injuredpublished at 13:25 BST 26 September

    Essex 398-7 v Somerset 433

Lewis Gregory is showing discomfort and appears to be limping.

He was wringing his hands earlier as well.

He will not complete the over and the remaining four balls will be bowled by Kasey Aldridge.

  14. Postpublished at 13:24 BST 26 September

    Essex 398-7 v Somerset 433

Doug Bracewell tries to flick a leg side ball from Craig Overton fine but he's missed it.

Maiden over and Bracewell is still looking for his first run after eight deliveries faced.

Leg side from Lewis Gregory now and that's two runs for Noah Thain to fine leg. One hit away from 400.

A bottom edge to short fine leg for one.

A no ball follows and now Essex are just two runs shy of 400.

  15. 'Hill has worked hard'published at 13:23 BST 26 September

    Yorks 384-7 (lead by 38) v Durham 346

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

George Hill helps himself to another first-class half century.

He's worked really hard for this particular knock which has taken him 167 minutes of batting and 105 balls.

That was his seventh four and with it he's brought up a 17th first-class half century to go with the four tonnes he's got to his name.

  16. Postpublished at 13:21 BST 26 September

    Notts 374 v Warwicks 258 & 89-4

Lyndon James bowls to Zen Malik, who drives into the off side without clearing the field.

The fourth ball is tucked away leg side for one.

    Just 27 behind now.

  17. 50 runs

50 for Hillpublished at 13:18 BST 26 September

    Yorks 384-7 (lead by 38) v Durham 346

Yorks don't need to do anything other than occupy the crease but Jordan Thompson can't resist flicking a six as Will Rhodes strays down leg.

And now George Hill has his half century (the 17th of his career) picking a boundary off Matthew Potts to move to 51.

  18. Postpublished at 13:18 BST 26 September

    Essex 393-7 v Somerset 433

Over bowled. Now Lewis Gregory will resume the bowling from the other end.

Noah Thain is back and across to try and push the bowler through the off side but he hasn't found the gap.

Thain is late on the fifth ball, jabbing it down into the off side.

    Maiden over.

  19. Play resumes at Wantage Roadpublished at 13:15 BST 26 September

    Northants 189 v Leics 429 & 207-5

Jonny Tattersall will face the first ball of the session on 21 not out.

    Ben Whitehouse will bowl.

    Ben Cox has five.

    The lead is 447.

  20. Back under way at Southamptonpublished at 13:14 BST 26 September

    Hants 4-0 Target: 181

Fletcha Middleton clips Tom Lawes for two and Ali Orr adds a single to move the score on to as what promises to be a gripping final session gets going.
