  1. Postpublished at 17:58 British Summer Time 30 July

    Durham 153 & 218-4 v Surrey 322

18 balls it has taken for Graham Clark to get off the mark.

Eventually he does so with a mistaken aerial whip over the leg side that could have reached fielders hand before the boundary.

Still no Clark v Clark, nor sign of brother Jordan warming up yet.

  2. Postpublished at 17:51 British Summer Time 30 July

    Notts 171-2 v Somerset 438

First sign of off-spin for Somerset, Archie Vaughan bowling the 49th over of the Notts first innings with Haseeb Hameed on 92* in a partnership of 64 currently with Joe Clarke 21*.

  3. Early wickets for Andersonpublished at 17:50 British Summer Time 30 July

    Division Two latest

Lancashire needed quick Glamorgan wickets and James Anderson, who turned 43 today, has taken two of them.

First he bowls Zain ul Hassan, then claims a catch off his own delivery to dismiss Asa Tribe. Glamorgan are 25-2 and lead by 149.

Elsewhere, Middlesex were bowled out for 445 at Cheltenham College and Gloucestershire have just started their first innings.

George Bartlett and Justin Broad are nearing a century stand for Northants who have reached 245-5 against Derbyshire.

Kent opener Ben Compton is a couple away from his hundred against Leicestershire. The hosts are 191-2 and trail by 280.

  4. 'Another self-inflicted wicket'published at 17:47 British Summer Time 30 July

    Durham 153 & 209-4 v Surrey 322

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

He's thrown it away, a leading edge.

It's another self-inflicted wicket by Durham, what a disappointment.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:44 British Summer Time 30 July

    Robinson c Lawrence b Kishore 25 (Durham 153 & 209-3 v Surrey 322)

That might be the most generous Durham give away of the match.

Ollie Robinson, the one who had the passport drama trying to get out to New Zealand to play for England last December then did not even play, has just gifted his wicket.

Sai Kishore cannot believe his luck, a stock delivery, a tempter saw Robinson shimmy down and chip to hanging back mid off.

David Lloyd on commentary has his head in his hands aghast and Lancs are not even involved in this game or Division!

  6. Afternoon Trent Bridge triviapublished at 17:37 British Summer Time 30 July

    Notts 162-2 v Somerset 438

Somerset have three players in their XI who have taken hat-tricks on this ground.

Clues: If you remember that extraordinary game of a few seasons ago back when Marcus Trescothick was playing.

One will not bowl and has barely bowled all season and one was not in a Somerset shirt.

  7. Postpublished at 17:33 British Summer Time 30 July

    Yorks 270-4 v Sussex 222

Yorkshire pair Harry Duke and Matthew Revis might have been expecting to be pinging a new ball to the rope but they are not finding this examination by spin easy.

Jack Carson and James Coles are getting something from this pitch while Gurinder Sandhu is waiting to take the new ball which was available two overs ago.

With it spitting occasionally and turning plenty John Simpson is sticking with the slow bowlers.

  8. 50 runs

partnership between Hameed & Clarkepublished at 17:32 British Summer Time 30 July

    Notts 157-2 v Somerset 438

Somerset have managed to get the ball reversing, so Jake Ball and Miggy Pretorius now pitch the ball up and look for movement in the air and off the pitch, not just attempt the short ball ploy.

Haseeb Hameed has time to reach his personal ton tonight, but has slowed in recent overs, as has even white-ball specialist Joe Clarke as Somerset get creative as to how to bowl dots on this flat pitch with this almost seamless ball.

  9. 'A lot can still happen'published at 17:29 British Summer Time 30 July

    Durham 153 & 200-3 v Surrey 322

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

There's still two days to go in this game, there's still a lot that can happen.

Durham have got themselves into a solid position with 15 overs to go.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:18 British Summer Time 30 July

    Yates lbw b Critchley 27 (Essex 602-6d v Warwickshire 52-1)

Matt Critchley celebrates wicketImage source, Rex Features

Rob Yates steps right back to defend a big turning ball from sent down from wide of the crease by Matt Critchley.

He misses and the ball slams into his front pad square on.

It was probably hitting leg stump and middle at a pinch but he has not done himself any favours going back to a ball he should have met.

  11. Postpublished at 17:14 British Summer Time 30 July

    Durham 153 & 190-3 v Surrey 322

Colin Ackermann was dropped on three remember and Emilio Gay benefitted from that spilt caught and bowled chance, so Surrey will be rueing the chances they have given Durham, rare carelessness from the champions.

19 overs remaining in the second day for them to try and create another chance.

    Durham lead by 22 runs.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:07 British Summer Time 30 July

    Wharton b Coles 85 (Yorks 250-4 v Sussex 222)

James Wharton has taken a step back to a ball he perhaps should have gone forward to. Either way James Coles has got that to turn past the edge.

One brings two as the pair who turned the screw in Adam Lyth and Wharton are both sent packing and Sussex have a sighter of the middle order.

  13. Crane takes 6-19published at 17:06 British Summer Time 30 July

    Lancashire 137 v Glamorgan 261

Mason Crane holds up the ballImage source, Rex Features

That's some collapse by Lancashire at Old Trafford to concede a first-innings deficit of 124.

Glamorgan spinner Mason Crane finishes the innings by dismissing George Balderson to end with career-best figures of 6-19.

Lancashire were 107-3... they lost their last seven wickets for 30 runs.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:01 British Summer Time 30 July

    Kashif Ali b Fuller 4 (Worcs 61-2 v Hants 293)

James Fuller hangs one outside off stump and Kashif Ali chops on.

That is a second blow for Worcs in the space of five runs and they could do with a partnership building.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:59 British Summer Time 30 July

    Lyth st Simpson b Carson 115 (Yorks 248-2 v Sussex 222)

Adam Lyth is not happy and clearly thinks he has got his foot back down as he slightly overbalanced going forward.

That is a marginal call but it is a smart piece of work behind the stumps from John Simpson nonetheless as Jack Carson beats Lyth's outside edge.

The foot was up and in the process of going back down behind the line but replays are not entirely clear.

Whatever, it was a fine innings and a 168-run partnership with James Wharton comes to an end.

  16. 'Agony for him'published at 16:55 British Summer Time 30 July

    Durham 153 & 173-3 v Surrey 322

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

The pressure had built for a few overs.

    Agony for him.

The partnership was valuable at 77 runs.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 30 July

    Gay c Kishore b Curran 99 (Durham 153 & 173-3 v Surrey 322)

Nerves from Emilio Gay on 98* gained Sam Curran a bonus maiden.

Gareth Batty has been lapping the ground and giving Curran some advice down at long leg, 90s nerves have seen Gay miss out on a couple scoring chances.

Having scored quickly and fluently up until he reached the 90s, he just kept hitting fielders in the 90s whilst Curran tried every white ball trick up his sleeve, slower balls frustrating the former Northants bat.

On 99 further agony ensued, he nailed one to Sai Kishore at short midwicket.

Despite this, still an incredibly useful knock for his struggling side, one they may well look back on very favourably come September's end.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:49 British Summer Time 30 July

    Roderick c Brown b Jack 26 (Worcs 56-1 v Hants 293)

Eddie Jack fires it down from a great height and this one has got big on Gareth Roderick as he tries to cut it away to point.

The top edge flies through at a comfortable height and Ben Brown takes the catch.

Still a decent start for the home side.

  19. 'They've got to make the most of it'published at 16:41 British Summer Time 30 July

    Durham 153 & 169-2 v Surrey 322

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

This is a good time to be batting if you're Durham.

They've got to make the most of it.

The ball has gone soft, if they continue going at four-an over then they will have a lead of at least 100.

  20. Scores levelpublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 30 July

    Durham 153 & 169-2 v Surrey 322

A much better effort from Durham second innings and the side struggling in the table are showing their worth now against the reigning champions.

One of their marquee winter signings, Emilio Gay, is a big reason for that, he is 98*.
