WICKETpublished at 12:38 British Summer Time 30 July

Scriven lbw b Evison 99 (Kent v Leics 471 all out)

    Out for 99!

Leicestershire number 10 Tom Scriven is pinned lbw by Joey Evison, just one away from a maiden first-class century.

It ends an unbelievable last-wicket stand of 108 with Josh Hull.

  2. Postpublished at 12:35 British Summer Time 30 July

    Notts v Somerset 378-7

155 points already for Notts this season, with three games and the rest of this match to spare, they already have notched the points they earnt last season.

Significant progress, but can they topple the dominant Surrey side that are still chasing batting bonus points up at Durham?

Brett Hutton has now bowled 21 overs, 1-83 as Notts are being made to work hard with this kookaburra ball as ever.

  3. 'It was a good partnership'published at 12:30 British Summer Time 30 July

    Durham 153 v Surrey 279-7

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

Steel just got trapped on the crease, he looked in good form there, he'll be disappointed.

It was a good partnership there.

It's not offering much for the bowlers, but Ben Raine managed to get one to nip back in.

It's been a good hour-and-a half for Surrey.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:29 British Summer Time 30 July

    Steel lbw Raine 27 (Durham 153 v Surrey 279-7)

Cam Steel did not get forward or back enough, caught on the crease and Ben Raine is on course for another wicket maiden with one ball remaining in his 17th over of another cracking spell.

Tom Lawes in at nine to join Jordan Clark who is 57 from 57 balls.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:23 British Summer Time 30 July

    Bean c Simpson b Lamb 21 (Yorks 46-1 v Sussex 222)

Finlay Bean lifted Danny Lamb effortlessly into the stands in his previous over and he has gone attempting the same here.

Bit of extra pace and certainly more bounce and the Yorkshire opener miscues, sending a steepler behind the stumps that John Simpson grabs.

  6. Anderson strikes on 43rd birthdaypublished at 12:21 British Summer Time 30 July

    Lancashire 0-0 v Glamorgan 261

After an hour delay for rain the match has been in fast forward mode since play started at Old Trafford.Lancashire took the two remaining Glamorgan wickets in the first two overs of the day.

Jimmy Anderson wrapped up the Glamorgan innings, getting Ned Leonard out caught behind with just his second ball on the day of his 43rd birthday.

If only having birthday cake for breakfast could turn us all into such effective wicket takers!

  7. Somerset get three bonus points, Notts twopublished at 12:21 British Summer Time 30 July

    Notts v Somerset 367-7

The first game within the game is done with 110 overs bowled.

Somerset will bat on but Notts have definitely won this morning session, gaining a bonus point they probably would not have expected as they have starved Somerset with miserly bowling.

Expect Somerset to bat until all out now, there would probably have to be another record partnership in order for them to declare.

  8. 'The game could be taken away from Durham'published at 12:16 British Summer Time 30 July

    Durham 153 v Surrey 265-6

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

You feel from a Durham perspective it will be winner takes all at Headingley on the final game.

If they're not careful this game could be taken away from them rather quickly.

  9. Soild start for Yorkspublished at 12:15 British Summer Time 30 July

    Yorks 46-0 v Sussex 222

Finlay Bean battingImage source, Rex Features

Finlay Bean is easy on the eye when he is going well and he is doing just that here, an effortless flick at Danny Lamb half volley sailing over the midwicket rope.

Lyth is no less fluent at the other end and has 25 to Bean's 21 as Yorks have made a very good start to chasing down Sussex's under par score.

  10. Division Two latestpublished at 12:14 British Summer Time 30 July

Tom Scriven battingImage source, Rex Features

An extraordinary last-wicket stand between Tom Scriven and Josh Hull has taken Leicestershire to maximum batting bonus points at Kent

Scriven has a career-best 84, Hull is on 32, and their partnership is worth 88. The Foxes are 451-9 in the 110th over.

Play finally got under way at Old Trafford, and Lancashire did not have to wait long to take the last two Glamorgan wickets. The visitors have been bowled out for 261.

Northants are now batting after bowling Derbyshire out for 377. The hosts are 20-0.

And it's good news from Cheltenham College where play between Gloucestershire and Middlesex will start at 12:30 BST.

  11. 50 runs

for Clarkpublished at 12:09 British Summer Time 30 July

    Durham 153 v Surrey 252-6

Cam Steel is batting as expected, seven not out off 31 balls whilst Jordan Clark has taken on the aggressor role to be 49* off 51 balls.

His first six off Callum Parkinson, getting them the bonus point, has prompted a ball change whilst a couple of spectators ducked for cover.

Next delivery Clark instantly earns his 50 off the new, used ball.

  12. 'He'll be slightly disappointed'published at 12:08 British Summer Time 30 July

    Notts v Somerset 361-7

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

He chased a wide one there, he'll be slightly disappointed.

Another catch for Joe Clarke and a first wicket of the day for Hutton which is a nice bonus for him.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:07 British Summer Time 30 July

    Banton c Clarke b Hutton 14 (Notts v Somerset 361-7)

Tom Banton is not best pleased, he has chased a wide one, a poor delivery, a poor shot and a bonus wicket for Brett Hutton.

Notts could now get full bowling bonus points as Somerset could feasibly be bowled out inside the remaining 3.5 overs of bonus point territory.

Craig Overton and Miggy Pretorius have history of batting well here in recent seasons mind, the former comes in first today.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:05 British Summer Time 30 July

    Tilak Varma b Taylor 5 (Worcs v Hants 171-4)

Nice delivery from Tom Taylor, pitched right up, angled in from wide of the crease and cleaning up the in-form Tilak Varma.

This is turning into a decent morning for the hosts.

  15. 'They've done well to reach this point'published at 12:02 British Summer Time 30 July

    Durham 153 v Surrey 243-6

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

Surrey are maneuvering themselves into a strong position now.

They will want to reach that 300 mark to get a lead of over 150 runs.

Despite the position they were in, they've done well to reach this point.

  16. wicket

    Westley c Yates b Webster 148 (Essex 407-5 v Warwickshire)

Tom Westley departs for 148Image source, Rex

Tom Westley's long innings comes to an end with him falling straight into a leg slip trap set by Beau Webster.

Rob Yates is positioned about 15-16 yards back at leg slip/gully and he takes a sharp catch tumbling away to his left after Westley clips off his pads.

The Essex skipper might be disappointed to have fallen for such an obvious ploy but he should have no regrets about that knock which has put his side in command.

  17. 'A tremendous innings from Rew'published at 11:54 British Summer Time 30 July

    Notts v Somerset 355-6

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Not a good shot from James Rew, the second time he's chased one down leg side.

    A tremendous innings from Rew.

He is still two runs off notching 3,000 runs in the County Championship.

  18. Four batting points for Essexpublished at 11:52 British Summer Time 30 July

    Essex 401-4 v Warwickshire

And with a hook at a short ball from Beau Webster, Tom Westley finds the boundary down towards long leg for the fourth batting point.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:51 British Summer Time 30 July

    Rew c Clarke b Pennington 166 (Notts v Somerset 355-6)

James Rew dismissedImage source, Rex Features

Somerset may not even make 400 inside 110 overs after all now, and have given Notts a bonus point of there own which really could be crucial between potential title rivals here.

166 off 278 balls is of course still a terrific effort from James Rew, he just could not get going this morning.

He ends just a couple runs short of 3,000 Championship runs, but may have a second innings chance tomorrow or day four to tick that off.

Archie Vaughan is in at eight again after his spin-twin Jack leach batted at six for three balls across last night.

  20. Postpublished at 11:50 British Summer Time 30 July

    Essex 396-4 v Warwickshire

Ben Allison reverse sweeps Corey Rocchiccioli for a four to the point boundary and that has got Essex back on track for a fourth batting point.

The hosts need four from the final over before the 110 overs cut off which they should be able to do although Beau Webster will have other ideas.
