    Sussex have been going along nicely in this second innings but Tom Haines and Daniel Hughes take an extremely risky - and somewhat unnecessary - quick single off Craig Overton.

    Overton takes aim but misses the target from the throw. Haines would have been a long way out if Overton had hit.

    Ben Green hits a lovely straight drive down the ground for four off Luke Hollman and Leicestershire make it past 200 and move within 28 runs of Middlesex's first innings total.

    Harry Came does well to keep out a quicker ball from Tom Hartley and is then happy to play out the rest of the over in defensive mode.

    Wayne Madsen pulls the first ball of Anderson Phillip's third over around the corner for another single to move smoothly to 11 before Harry Came takes a single from a no-ball.

    Phillip bangs in a short ball to Madsen who has to take quick evasive action before overstepping a second time.

    A much better second innings for Sussex so far as Daniel Hughes swats away Josh Davey for four and they race past 50 inside the first 10 overs.

    Two wickets in four balls brings a pretty miserable Essex batting performance to an abrupt end.

    Matthew Waite picks up both of them as he gets straight through Noah Thain's defences to clean bowl him and then have Jamie Porter caught behind.

    Waite ends with 3-34, with Tom Taylor also getting three wickets.

    As for Essex they struggled to get going at all and it was only Robin Das who made any sort of score with 44.

    The Bears have a second wicket as Ethan Bamber finally gets a reward for some decent bowling.

    Nick Gubbins takes a step down the pitch looking to drive down the ground, but carves a thick outside edge to Beau Webster at second slip.

    The lead is 160 and Tom Prest comes to the middle.
