  1. Early wickets for Yorkshire; Foxes toilingpublished at 12:57 British Summer Time 18 May

    Division Two latest

Yorkshire have already dismissed both Sussex openers in their second innings. Jordan Thompson got Tom Haines before Ben Coad removed Tom Clark to leave the hosts 16-2 at Hove. Sussex still trail by 29.

Northants have lost Rob Keogh (102) and Justin Broad (75) but they've gone past 400 at Derbyshire. 403-7 there.

Middlesex opener Mark Stoneman is unbeaten on 95 with his side on 166-1 against Glamorgan. They're set for a big first-innings lead, trailing by just 17 now.

And Gloucestershire continue to pile on the runs at Leicestershire. They're up to 519-4.

    Lancashire 357 v Durham 71-2

Colin Ackermann and David Bedingham have steadied the Durham ship at Blackpool, after losing both openers in consecutive deliveries and the pair have now added 37.

Bedingham has scored 22 of those, with Ackermann on 11 and Lancashire are giving Nathan Lyon a prolonged spell as we approach lunch.

The Australia spinner has 1-20 from eight overs and you'd assume he'll get at least one more before the interval.

  3. 6 runs

Jack Leach on the chargepublished at 12:54 British Summer Time 18 May

    Somerset 533-9 v Kent

Jack Leach is down the pitch to Joey Evison and lofts a cut square for six runs!

Beautifully timed into the temporary stand next to the Andy Caddick Pavilion.

  4. 6 runs

Dom Sibley doubles uppublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 18 May

    Surrey 213 & 32-0 v Worcs 128 - lead by 117

Goodness me. Six runs in 50 balls up to now - and Sibley has doubled his score in one ball!

It's not a great ball from Ben Gibbon, on a length but well outside leg stump.

    Flicked nonchalantly over square leg.

  5. Postpublished at 12:48 British Summer Time 18 May

    Somerset 523-9 v Kent

Jack Leach is off the mark first ball, driving Grant Stewart pleasingly through cover on the front foot for four runs.

Not a "specialist" number 11 then.

He pushes the fifth ball into the off side for one.

James Vince plays a shotImage source, Rex Features

Hampshire have stabilised after the loss of those two early wickets, with James Vince quickly moving on to 16 after cracking a couple of boundaries off Olly Stone.

The skipper's almost caught up with Fletcha Middleton, who's on 17, but Nottinghamshire's seamers have started well as they defend a total of 235.

  7. wicket

WICKET Davey c Compton b Evison 27published at 12:42 British Summer Time 18 May

    Somerset 517-9 v Kent

Lewis Gregory hammers a short, wide ball from Grant Stewart in the covers for four to bring up the 50 partnership with Josh Davey in 80 balls - then gets four more driven over the top.

But Josh Davey departs in the next over.

He clips Joey Evison square and is caught on the leg side by Ben Compton. Really good reflex catch.

The number 11 is Jack Leach, who in fact opened the batting for the Somerset seconds recently.

  8. Postpublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 18 May

    Surrey 213 & 24-0 v Worcs 128 - lead by 109

Another LBW shout, this time against Dom Sibley off the bowling of Matthew Waite but its outside the line.

There's still movement on offer for the Pears bowlers here as Rory Burns leaves Ben Gibbon outside off stump.

Two slips and a backward point in play.

A flashing play and miss to a short and wide ball there!

Burns gets away with a single next ball hit to cover.

Good stop on the boundary by Kashif Ali to keep it to one.

  9. WARWICKSHIRE ALL OUTpublished at 12:36 British Summer Time 18 May

    Essex v Warwickshire 397

Sighs of relief among the Essex fielders as they finally bring this innings to a close.

Warm applause for Ed Barnard, who was last man out, caught at long-on off Matt Critchley for a career-best 165.

But a total close to 400 is way beyond what Warwickshire looked on course for this time yesterday when they were 64-5.

  10. Somerset pass 500 at Tauntonpublished at 12:36 British Summer Time 18 May

    Somerset 508-8 v Kent

Josh Davey is forward to Joey Evison, tucking the bowler away through square leg for one to reach the landmark in the 111th over.

Lewis Gregory drives the same bowler through cover for his sixth four to reach his third Somerset 50 of the season.

This one comes in 69 balls.

    Surrey 213 & 22-0 v Worcs 128 - lead by 107

It was a bit gloomy at the Oval this morning but it is brightening up a bit now.

A change of bowling now as left arm bowler Ben Gibbon comes into the attack.

The second ball is guided to point by Rory Burns for one.

Anything around the 250 mark may be a tough chase here and Surrey will hope for at least that many at some stage today.

  13. Postpublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 18 May

    Somerset 497-8 v Kent

Four more runs to Josh Davey, driving Beyers Swanepoel sweetly down the ground.

Not bad at all for a number 10.

Davey picks up two more off Grant Stewart at the other end.

Single off the next ball and a second slip comes back in for Somerset captain Lewis Gregory, who keeps the strike with a single pushed into the off side.

  14. Yorkshire all outpublished at 12:24 British Summer Time 18 May

    Sussex 150 v Yorkshire 195

    Well, that ended quickly!

Ben Coad and Dom Leech fall in the space of four balls to Sussex seamers Sean Hunt (4-64) and Ollie Robinson (3-25) and that's Yorkshire's first innings done.

A lead of 45 might not be as many as they'd hoped for this morning.

  15. Postpublished at 12:24 British Summer Time 18 May

    Surrey 213 & 21-0 v Worcs 128 - lead by 106

Nathan Smith bowls outside off to Dom Sibley, who leaves the ball alone.

Steady rather than spectacular batting from the hosts, who nonetheless have a sizeable advantage on first innings.

Dom Sibley punches Smith through cover point for three.

  16. 150 for Ed Barnardpublished at 12:23 British Summer Time 18 May

    Essex v Warwickshire 381-9

Warwickshire are still piling on the runs - and Ed Barnard now has 150 of them.

Barnard brings up that landmark in style, pumping Jamie Porter over the top for six.

He's faced 277 balls and spent more than six and a half hours at the crease.

  17. wicket

WICKET: Organ c Harrison b Stone 5published at 12:21 British Summer Time 18 May

    Notts 235 v Hants 20-2

Olly Stone strikes again and Hampshire lose their second wicket!

Stone tempts Felix Organ to nudge outside off stump and Calvin Harrison stoops low to collect the catch.

Not the best start for Hampshire - but bear in mind Nottinghamshire lost their first two wickets without a run on the board.

  18. Lancashire show intentpublished at 12:20 British Summer Time 18 May

    Lancashire 357 v Durham 44-2

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

It took just two overs on the second morning for Durham to take the final wicket of the Lancashire first innings. Saqib Mahmood, who had been swinging the bat ferociously throughout his innings, eventualy fell for 46.

It was his highest score for the county and comes on the back of a long period out with injury.

The Durham openers Alex Lees and Scott Borthwick then put on 34 runs before both fell a delivery apart. George Balderson had Lees caught behind for 24 at the end of his first over.

Moments later Borthwick edged Australian spinner Nathan Lyon to Luke Wells at first slip and departed for 10. It was the start of Lyon's second over.

It was something of a surprise to see him handed the ball after just nine overs of the innings. It showed intent from Lancashire skipper Keaton Jennings. And it paid off pretty quickly in the sunshine of Blackpool.

  19. Postpublished at 12:19 British Summer Time 18 May

    Somerset 488-8 v Kent

A slice of luck for Josh Davey, who drives at Beyers Swanepoel, edging the ball between first and second slip for four.

Lewis Gregory squeezes a ball from Grant Stewart into the off side for one.

Just the single from the over.

  20. Postpublished at 12:16 British Summer Time 18 May

    Surrey 213 & 16-0 v Worcs 128 - lead by 101

Rory Burns takes the Surrey lead past 100, driving Joe Leach into the off side via a thick outside edge for one.

He drops a ball from Nathan Smith into the off side for one more.

Dom Sibley plays and misses a wide one outside off.

He leaves the next ball alone.
