  1. 'New ball working a treat for Nottinghamshirepublished at 17:59 British Summer Time 10 May

    Notts v Lancs 293-7

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

This new ball is working a treat for Nottinghamshire.

It's alright taking it but you've got to bowl well with it.

Lancashire are in a good position and it's been a good day but there's always that element that things can change at the back end of the day, especially when the Nottinghamshire bowlers are as effective as they are with the new ball and that extra pace from Olly Stone, able to ruffle a few feathers.

Lancashire need to find another partnership to settle things down.

It's a good pitch, it looks like a good pitch, it's carried well and it's looked ideal for the seamers.

  2. Division Two updatepublished at 17:58 British Summer Time 10 May

Gloucestershire are now seven down with 324 runs on the board after Tom Price's departure for 23.

Northants' Luke Procter taking his first wicket of the game to dismiss Price.

Sussex are still going at Glamorgan with Ari Karvelas on 33 and Jayden Seales on 10 against Glamorgan.

The duo have put on 31 for the ninth wicket and if they can push that score further towards 300 they will see this as a job well done from the position they were in.

  3. 100 runs

100 partnership for Worcestershirepublished at 17:57 British Summer Time 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 303-3

Adam Hose has now put on an unbroken century for this fourth wicket in 169 balls with Gareth Roderick.

  4. 300 up for Worcestershirepublished at 17:53 British Summer Time 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 300-3

Adam Hose cracks Joey Evison to the ropes and then follows up with a single two balls later to move to 46 and secure a second batting bonus point for the visitors.

Seven overs remain tonight, they might have to wait for tomorrow for a third.

  5. 300 up for Hampshirepublished at 17:50 British Summer Time 10 May

    Hampshire 307-4 v Durham

A second batting point comes Hampshire's way as they pass the 300 mark.

Tom Prest is five runs away from a half-century and Liam Dawson is on 24 at the other end.

  6. wicket

WICKET: Jamal c Foakes b Abbott 26published at 17:50 British Summer Time 10 May

    Surrey v Warwickshire 277-8

Another 55 partnership is ended as Sean Abbott jags one back at Aamir Jamal who can't quite get his glove out of the way as he tries to leave the ball and nicks through to Ben Foakes behind the timbers.

Craig Miles joins Ed Barnard (79*) with 23 needed for another batting bonus point.

  7. Postpublished at 17:48 British Summer Time 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 296-3

Adam Hose goes aerial off Wes Agar but doesn't get all of it, only succeeding in plonking the ball a couple of yards over the shoulder of Beyers Swanepoel who is racing back towards the rope from mid-on. A let-off.

Agar's next ball is a no ball. His eighth. The extras total is now 31. Only 10 fewer than Hose has. Gareth Roderick is on 115*.

  8. Ed Barnard dropped on 76published at 17:39 British Summer Time 10 May

    Surrey v Warwickshire 268-7

Caveat. Dropped is a bit harsh. Kemar Roach finds the edge of Ed Barnard's bat with a vicious delivery but the ball flies to the left of first slip Dom Sibley who can get a palm to it, but can't cling on.

If that's a goalkeeper making a reaction save then he would be lauded.

  9. wicket

WICKET: Hurst c Young b Pennington 0published at 17:38 British Summer Time 10 May

    Notts v Lancs 275-6

Dillon Pennington has two in two overs!

The new ball is doing the trick for Notts as Matty Hurst goes without troubling the scorer.

He was reaching for contact and there wasn't a lot of footwork going on as he edged it to Will Young at third slip and he takes a good catch going away to his right with the ball close to the ground.

  10. Division Two updatepublished at 17:33 British Summer Time 10 May

Sussex are still hanging in there as they inch their way towards a batting point.

They are on 248-9 as it stands and there have been a lot of dot balls to frustrate the Glamorgan bowlers who just want this over and done with.

In the other match, Gloucestershire's Graeme van Buuren fell agonisingly short of a half-century for 46 to Northants' Ben Sanderson.

  11. 'An invaluable and tremendous effort'published at 17:29 British Summer Time 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 279-3

A little understated punch of the air from Gareth Roderick and he taps the Josh Baker badge - the number 33 on his shirt.

A 100 in consecutive games and his fifth 100 for Worcestershire, his second of the season and it's been a really important effort for the side.

    An invaluable and tremendous effort.

  12. new ball

New ball taken by Surreypublished at 17:28 British Summer Time 10 May

    Surrey v Warwickshire 262-7

Ed Barnard moves into the 70s with a glorious square drive off Kemar Roach who has taken the new ball.

Another pesky partnership for the visitors as far as Rory Burns is concerned. Perhaps there are signs the pitch is getting better to bat on. Surrey will not want Warwickshire to be batting tomorrow morning, that's for sure.

The Surrey blueprint will surely have been bowl Warwickshire out today, bat big in the weekend sunshine and then take 10 wickets in the final 120 overs.

  13. 'Bears have had the better of this session'published at 17:27 British Summer Time 10 May

    Surrey v Warwickshire 252-7

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

Warwickshire have had the better of this session.

Having been put into the bat they're going to get a score now that's not a disaster.

It's going to be really interesting to see how this surface plays. Certainly for the first 60 overs there was a bit of movement for the seamers, sometimes quite a lot of movement and it was exploited well by this excellent attack.

  14. wicket

WICKET: Bell c Moores b Pennington 18published at 17:27 British Summer Time 10 May

    Notts v Lancs 273-5

Dillon Pennington has been steaming in for 18 overs and finally gets a reward as he finds the edge of George Bell's bat allowing Tom Moores to take the catch.

  15. 300 up for Glospublished at 17:23 British Summer Time 10 May

    Northants v Glos 309-5

A second batting point is in the bag for Gloucestershire as Graeme van Buuren nears a half-century.

  16. Two wickets fall after teapublished at 17:21 British Summer Time 10 May

    Hants 255-4 v Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

After toiling in the Southampton heat all day, the Durham bowlers have found a little bit of cheer in the overs after tea.

Ali Orr, the glue which had held the Hampshire innings together, fell on 126 in the 69th over, shortly after the re-start. He drove a ball from debutant Peter Siddle straight to Graham Clark at short cover, ending a partnership with James Vince of 94 runs.

That brought the first bowling point for the visitors with Hampshire 228-3.

Vince was in the middle as the hosts brought up their first batting point, but was soon gone for 41, caught behind off spinner Callum Parkinson while driving off the back foot.

If Durham can get two or three more this evening then it won't have been too bad a day. But it does look like a good track to bat on.

  17. 100 runs

100 for Gareth Roderickpublished at 17:19 British Summer Time 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 270-3

    Back-to-back centuries for Gareth Roderick.

He brings up his 11th First Class ton from 241 balls with his fourth four, driven through midwicket off Wes Agar.

A pretty much perfect knock from the keeper-batter who has built the foundation for a big first innings score for his side.

Roderick pumps his fist, takes off his helmet and taps his bat against his chest where Josh Baker's No33 is emblazoned next to the club crest.

  18. new ball

New ball taken by Kentpublished at 17:17 British Summer Time 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 264-3

Matt Parkinson's 22nd over was the final one with the old ball.

Wes Agar is tossed the fresh cherry and tasked to try and oust Gareth Roderick, who has moved to 94, or Adam Hose, who looks very comfortable for his 34.

  19. 50 runs

50 for Tom Brucepublished at 17:17 British Summer Time 10 May

    Notts v Lancs 267-4

A maiden Lancashire half-century for Tom Bruce comes with the Kiwi hitting a four off Ben Slater.

Bruce hit seven fours and one six in that 50.

  20. 250 runs

250 up for Warwickshirepublished at 17:16 British Summer Time 10 May

    Surrey v Warwickshire 250-7

There was a point when they'd have been very happy with one bonus point, now they might even be thinking about two..

Aamir Jamal brings up the 250 with a single off Dan Lawrence in the last over before we presume the new ball will be taken.
