  1. Sussex nine downpublished at 17:14 10 May

    Glamorgan v Sussex 235-9

Mason Crane has his first wicket of the innings, thanks to a catch by Colin Ingram at slip.

Jack Carson goes for 39 and Sussex have only wicket remaining.

  2. Postpublished at 17:12 10 May

    Surrey v Warwickshire 245-7

Dan Lawrence is brought on to bowl at the other end from Cam Steel as Surrey seek to get their over rate back on track and also find a way to prise Ed Barnard out.

He's on 63 with Aamir Jamal moving to 12 at the other end with a beautiful flick off his hips off Steel and then a mighty pull for four off a drag-down from the next delivery.

  3. 'Hammond wicket keeps Northants in the match'published at 17:08 10 May

    Northants v Glos 287-5

    Andrew Radd
    BBC Radio Northampton

It's been rather the story of the day that just as Gloucestershire seem to be getting on top (they lose a wicket). It's happened a number of times.

Northamptonshire just keep on chipping away with another wicket.

That wicket just keeps Northamptonshire in this match.

  4. 250 and batting bonus point for Lancspublished at 17:06 10 May

    Notts v Lancashire 257-4

    Tom BruceImage source, Rex Features

First batting bonus point for Lancs comes up in serious style even if taken off part-time spin.

Blasted for six by Kiwi Tom Bruce - an all format player who has whacked many a six in New Zealand cricket off the first ball of Ben Slater's surprise over.

Eight off his first two rusty deliveries of part-time spin before an ambitious lbw appeal and nearly a run out next ball as it is all going on in this slightly random change of bowling!

He has three first-class wickets in 134 matches but did bowl last match - 0-7!

  5. 250 up for Worcestershirepublished at 17:04 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 248-3

Dual spin for Kent as Jack Leaning takes over at the Pavilion End and Matt Parkinson switches to the Nackington Road End.

Prodding and probing and trying to find a solution to the Gareth Roderick-shaped conundrum at the other end of the track.

A neat sweep off a lofted Parkinson delivery takes Roderick to 88 with a single and brings up a first batting bonus point for Worcestershire. Not the last either, you would imagine.

  6. WICKET: Vince c Robinson b Parkinson 41published at 17:02 10 May

    Hants 254-3 v Durham

Out of nowhere Callum Parkinson has his third for 83 runs, 11 of which have come from Tom Prest in this over.

These two brought the first batting bonus point up but have to be parted after putting on 27.

  7. Prest on one todaypublished at 17:00 10 May

    Hants 254-3 v Durham

Tom Prest belts a couple of Callum Parkinson freebies away for four then six.

Short boundary to one side exploited with a plomb there.

Both Parkinson brothers getting a bit of tap whilst also picking up wickets in two different sunny southern locations this afternoon.

  8. 'Bruce needs time in the middle'published at 16:56 10 May

    Notts v Lancashire 237-4

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

Tom Bruce needs some time in the middle.

He needs to play some cricket and see if he can try and contribute with some runs here.

They'll be a little bit of pressure on him obviously signing for Lancashire for the entire summer, he's not got going yet but he has a chance and try and be there for when the new ball is taken.

  9. Postpublished at 16:55 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 245-3

Adam Hose has picked up four boundaries since tea, three of them off leggy Matt Parkinson and all to different parts of the ground.

He's building a wagon wheel, slowly but surely. He's onto 24.

At the other end Gareth Roderick has crawled to 85, doing an absolutely perfect job at the top of the order.

The toss felt big this morning, and so it's proving. The first bonus point is five runs away.

  10. WICKET: Hammond c Vasconcelos b Patterson-White 112published at 16:55 10 May

    Northants v Glos 271-5

Not long after reaching a century, Miles Hammond departs.

Ricardo Vasconcelos takes a good catch at mid-wicket as Hammond came down the pitch to the spin of Liam Patterson-White.

A fine innings comes to an end.

  11. WICKET: Burgess b Clark 22published at 16:51 10 May

    Surrey v Warwickshire 222-7

Seven down. Jordan Clark gets one to nip back at Michael Burgess and an inside edge takes the ball onto leg stump.

A useful partnership of 55 is broken and Clark has 4-40 from 17 overs.

Aamir Jamal, the Pakistan all-rounder, is the new man, joining Ed Barnard who is on 53. Jamal has a Test match best of 86 so it's not a bad No9 to be able to call on.

  12. 100 for Miles Hammondpublished at 16:48 10 May

    Northants v Glos 255-4

Miles Hammond hits George Scrimshaw for a four followed by a six to reach his century.

Excellent batting from the Glos number four.

  13. 'No pressure on Pears to increase run rate'published at 16:47 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 241-3

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

There's no pressure on Worcestershire to increase the run rate at all, they've been steady throughout the day.

They're doing exactly what they would have had in mind when that coin came down on the right side for them this morning which is to bat all day today and get a substantial total on the board.

  14. 50 for Ed Barnardpublished at 16:45 10 May

    Surrey v Warwickshire 218-6

His third of the season. He dispatches a loose full-toss from Cam Steel to the rope for his sixth four to reach the milestone from 94 balls.

If Warwickshire are to secure batting bonus points then their hopes rest fairly squarely upon Barnard's shoulders here.

  15. Irrelevant of age; Prest can drivepublished at 16:45 10 May

    Hants 232-3 v Durham

He might not be a long-time holder of a driving licence, but also perhaps due to his youthful exuberance, boy can Tom Prest drive!

Fifth ball, Australian test-bowling legend who knows County Cricket inside out, no problem, boom through the covers and off the mark.

  16. 200 up for Sussexpublished at 16:43 10 May

    Glamorgan v Sussex 206-8

It wasn't always looking likely that Sussex would reach 200 when they were wobbling on 140-7 but they've counter-attacked since then.

And just as I am typing this out... there's a wicket.

Fynn Hudson-Prentice has gone for 48 - bowled by James Harris who now joins Mir Hamza on four wickets.

His partnership with Jack Carson added a much-needed 66 to the Sussex total.

  17. WICKET: Orr c Clark b Siddle 126published at 16:41 10 May

    Hants 228-3 v Durham

Short extra cover takes a good catch to see Ali Orr gone for a Hampshire best 126.

Pete Siddle's first Durham wicket sees the 94-run partnership ended.

A bowling point surprisingly on the board before a batting point in this one.

Similarly to Matt Potts, a man who is surprisingly second in the bowling averages for Division One so far this season, batting allrounder Tom Prest comes in now.

Somehow still the youngest player in their XI today despite seemingly being around for a long time at this level. He has already played at T20 finals day and sported one of the more recongisable mullets in County Cricket for a good few years.

  18. Postpublished at 16:38 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 228-3

Credit to Matt Parkinson. While hundreds of people are drifting off on a warm summer's afternoon, his brain is having to work like a super computer, processing angles and flights and speeds and distances, all in an attempt to conjure up another breakthrough - ideally by ousting the unflappable Gareth Roderick, from a Kent perspective.

He's taken 2-62 from his 17 overs thus far. You'd imagine that will be well north of 25 overs come stumps.

  19. Postpublished at 16:36 10 May

    Hants 223-2 v Durham

Durham have been a little sloppy as this day goes on 16 extras, including 10 no balls is unlike Ryan Campbell's side.

Matt Potts surprisingly tops the batting averages in Division One with 109.50 from four innings, two not outs, but has gone for 52 off 12 overs in his favoured suit thus far today, he returns in the afternoon sunshine and Ali Orr tickles him fine for four to reach 125*.

  20. 200 up up for Warwickshirepublished at 16:28 10 May

    Surrey v Warwickshire 200-6

The last team to reach the mark in Division One, but not too far behind the rest.

Michael Burgess opens up to produce a classical cover drive off Jordan Clark to find the rope and take his side within 50 of a batting bonus point.
