    Nottinghamshire 89-3 v Sussex 169

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

Sussex will feel if they can pick up another couple of wickets tonight, they're right back in this game.

Notts will feel if they can carry on as they are and maybe get 120-3 at the close they'll have had a decent day.

  2. Postpublished at 17:27 British Summer Time 25 April

    Surrey v Somerset 189-7

Lewis Gregory gets a leg bye off the thigh guard facing James Taylor and Josh Davey is off the mark with a sliced drive through to deep third for a single.

New ball available in three overs.

  3. Postpublished at 17:25 British Summer Time 25 April

Two wickets in the over for Jordan Clark, who has figures of 3-38.

  4. Postpublished at 17:23 British Summer Time 25 April

    Surrey v Somerset 187-7

Three slips and a gully... Josh Davey digs the ball out to mid wicket.

    No hat trick today.

    A double wicket maiden nonetheless.

    Pretorius b Clark 0 (Surrey v Somerset 187-7)

    He's bowled first ball!

Full length and beating the bat. Near perfect yorker.

Jordan Clark has his third and Migael Pretorius departs.

Josh Davey is in to try and avert the hat trick.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:20 British Summer Time 25 April

    Aldridge b Clark 14 (Surrey v Somerset 187-6)

Jordan Clark will continue from the Pavilion End and he strikes with the second ball of his 19th over!

Kasey Aldridge is the second Somerset player (after Tom Lammonby) to be bowled round his legs trying to glance the ball leg side.

Plenty of movement across the stumps and the ball clips leg.

    Migael Pretorius to bat next.

He has 112 runs in two completed innings this summer to date, you know.

  7. Postpublished at 17:20 British Summer Time 25 April

    Worcestershire 162 v Durham 24-2

Tom Taylor sends down a delivery which keeps astonishingly low, Will Rhodes is yet to get off the mark after 15 balls and that one is enough to make a batter's blood run cold.

It beats the outside edge, just, and Gareth Roderick has to get down well to prevent the ball flashing away towards the rope.

    Clarke c Clark b Hudson-Prentice 19 (Nottinghamshire 80-3 v Sussex 169)

    Sussex celebrateImage source, Rex Features

Clark catches Clarke! It's another belter.

A bit of a surprise that.

Joe Clarke had been looking very comfy, helping himself to a couple of boundaries off Fynn Hudson-Prentice but has steered the last ball of the over straight to Tom Clark at second slip who's reacted like a mongoose and grabbed a flyer with both hands low to his left.

We've had Haines caught by Haynes and now the Clark(e)s are at it.

New batter is Jack Haynes. Tom Haines get ready.

  9. Postpublished at 17:17 British Summer Time 25 April

    Worcestershire 162 v Durham 25-2

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

Jacob Duffy has been excellent, 1-3 from four overs with three maidens and that last ball was, I think we call it, a snorter...

  10. Postpublished at 17:17 British Summer Time 25 April

    Surrey v Somerset 187-5

Good news for Surrey fans. Gus Atkinson is returning to the field.

The news on Sean Dickson is... there is none, really.

He's still being assessed after that injury to his right index finger by a Gus Atkinson bouncer this morning.

Single to Lewis Gregory, guiding James Taylor to deep third.

Kasey Aldridge is forward to defend and beaten outside off stump.

The sixth ball is on a leg stump line and glanced away for three.

    Gloucestershire 252 v Leicestershire 23-3

An unbelievable catch from Ollie Price continues this excellent start for the hosts as Rehan Ahmed flashes straight to first-slip, Dominic Goodman claims his second wicket.

A third wicket also falls as Josh Shaw grabs his first following a shot hit high into the air by Sol Budinger, caught by Goodman impressively.

The Foxes find themselves having a similar start to their innings as Gloucestershire did.

  12. Postpublished at 17:14 British Summer Time 25 April

    Nottinghamshire 71-2 v Sussex 169

Tight stuff from Fynn Hudson-Prentice who sees his final ball pushed for a couple by Joe Clarke.

As tempting as it must've been to keep him going, Ollie Robinson is getting a breather after a very decent first shift.

His figures of 1-31 from nine overs don't tell the whole yarn at all. He's bowled much better than that and Notts will be happy to see him off.

Jayden Seales is back and is tickled down to fine leg for a boundary by Clarke.

That takes the partnership to 16 off 48 balls, so it's been patient.

  13. Postpublished at 17:12 British Summer Time 25 April

    Surrey v Somerset 183-5

Another fine delivery from Jordan Clark, drawing Lewis Gregory into a play and miss trying to drive into the off side.

That deviated a lot off the line. Really tough conditions.

Gregory strokes one safely into cover for a single.

Kasey Aldridge turns the next ball into the on side. It's in the air but just evades the fielder at mid wicket for a couple of runs.

    McKinney c Hose b Taylor 19 (Worcestershire 162 v Durham 24-2)

I apologise to Ben McKinney, the entire McKinney family and Durham fans everywhere...

Adam Hose has produced a stunning low catch at first slip, falling to his left, to oust the young opener after he edged off the bowling of Tom Taylor.

    24 from 19 balls and he's gone...

Colin Ackermann joins Will Rhodes in the middle.

  15. Postpublished at 17:10 British Summer Time 25 April

    Worcestershire 162 v Durham 24-1

Someone check Ben McKinney's birth certificate... it says he's 20.

He's playing with the assuredness of a man with 10 years of Tests behind him, moving to 24 from 17 deliveries with an admittedly rather streaky edge for his fourth four.

Who knows, he might have 10 years of Tests ahead of him...

  16. Postpublished at 17:09 British Summer Time 25 April

    Surrey v Somerset 180-5

James Taylor will continue from the Vauxhall End and Kasey Aldridge is beaten outside the off stump.

Dom Sibley and Ollie Pope are the two slips for Taylor, but they won't be able to stop this ball, driven to deep third for a single.

Single to Lewis Gregory off the toe end of the bat, also to third.

We have a lesser-spotted four at the Oval as Aldridge glances a leg side ball fine for leg byes.

  17. Postpublished at 17:05 British Summer Time 25 April

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

The cricketing gods seem to have got it in for Somerset at the moment.

  18. Postpublished at 17:05 British Summer Time 25 April

    Surrey v Somerset 174-5

Gus Atkinson is given a rest and Jordan Clark comes back into the Surrey attack.

Atkinson has in fact left the field. More news as we get it.

Two slips and a gully in for Clark, who beats Lewis Gregory outside off.

We've also found out that Somerset bowler Craig Overton had a back spasm shortly after the toss and that Josh Davey has been brought into the XI. A bitter blow for Somerset.

  19. 'Goodman has his tail up'published at 17:02 British Summer Time 25 April

    Gloucestershire 252 v Leicestershire 3-1

    Ed Seabourne
    BBC Radio Bristol

Goodman has his tail up now, he's charging into the crease.

It was a really well taken wicket, he's had so much promise in the last year.

Dom Goodman bowls Rishi PatelImage source, Rex Features

    Gloucestershire 252 v Leicestershire 1-1

Gloucestershire make the perfect start with a big early wicket as Rishi Patel shoulders arms to one which nips back from Dominic Goodman and sees his off-stump splattered.

    Derbyshire 201-3 v Middlesex

The hosts push past 200 after Harry Came is dismissed on 73, caught by Stephen Eskinazi off the bowling of by Zafar Gohar.

Wayne Madsen is now 21* as he looks to guide his side towards batting bonus points.
