    Gloucestershire 252 & 130-8 v Leicestershire 262

Zaman Akhter steps back, crouches down and carves Logan van Beek uppishly to the boundary at deep point.

The lead is up to 120 and this positivity has come at a good time for the hosts who had no answer to the Foxes attack in the opening hour.

  2. Postpublished at 12:27 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 367 v Somerset 283 & 15-1

Josh Davey might have a problem with his bat here.

He seems unhappy with the part where the handle meets the willow so he's changed it.

Lovely extra cover drive for four by Tom Lammonby off Dan Worrall with immaculate footwork and placement.

Single to Lammonby with a nudge to leg.

Davey works a leg side bouncer fine for one. Leg bye in fact.

He's changed his bat again! This time the toe end is the issue.

  3. Postpublished at 12:26 British Summer Time 27 April

    Notts 300 v Sussex 169 & 252-7 (lead by 121 runs)

This is not going according to plan for the hosts.

Fergus O'Neill has fired four byes down the leg side (Kyle Verreynne had no chance) followed by a four edged off the bat of John Simpson through vacant third slip, and now four leg byes.

A dozen off the over and the lead is growing.

  4. Postpublished at 12:25 British Summer Time 27 April

    Gloucestershire 252 & 125-8 v Leicestershire 262

Zaman Akhter wanders right across his stumps, a foot beyond off, to pull a shot ball from Josh Hull to the boundary at fine leg.

He has 10* from 22 balls and a little flurry of runs here might make things interesting in the Foxes chase later.

The ball is doing plenty at Bristol, and though their bowlers have been near-perfect, the Leicestershire batters won't relish a chase of north of 150, you'd imagine.

  5. Postpublished at 12:22 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 367 v Somerset 283 & 9-1

Too full from Gus Atkinson and Josh Davey drives down the ground with the full face of the bat for four runs.

Atkinson responds with a bouncer that puts Davey on his backside as the new Somerset number three ducks.

He takes his top hand off the bat to block the third ball into the on side.

That'll teach him to hit a four, the bowler might have thought.

He's on his toes to glance a ball leg side for a single.

Single to Tom Lammonby pushing to mid off.

  6. 'Leicestershire's perfect day continues'published at 12:19 British Summer Time 27 April

    Gloucestershire 252 & 118-8 v Leicestershire 262

    Ed Seabourne
    BBC Radio Bristol

A nice delivery, he didn't grab it at the first attempt, in the crook of his elbow in the end.

It's the sixth wicket of the morning.

    Leicestershire's perfect day continues.

  7. Postpublished at 12:19 British Summer Time 27 April

    Derbyshire 472 v Middlesex 163-4

Blake Cullen flashes a square drive into the air off Luis Reece, just past the diving fielder at point, and the ball races away to the boundary.

Cullen is onto 42* with Leus du Plooy on 33*.

This pair have ticked the deficit down to 309 with a precious partnership.

  8. Postpublished at 12:18 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 367 v Somerset 283 & 3-1

A bit of width from Dan Worrall and Tom Lammonby watches that ball all the way past his off stump without playing it.

He'll get a single with a deft push to cover.

How does Josh Davey play this?

Is he in to take the shine off the new ball?

    He's in block mode presently.

He attempts to drive a ball through cover but doesn't pierce the off side field this time.

He gets a single off the sixth ball, pushing down the ground.

Nothing much doing with the new ball as Sussex pair John Simpson (57) and Jack Carson (41) continue to look solid.

They are taking the fight to Notts who will be frustrated with how little they have challenged the bat's edge, the pads or the wickets this morning.

The partnership is up to 70 and the lead 107.

    van Buuren c Green b Hull 8 (Gloucestershire 252 & 118-8 v Leicestershire 262)

Graeme van Buuren is outImage source, Rex Features

    Leicestershire are rampant.

Josh Hull tempts van Buuren into flashing a drive, only succeeding in edging low to Ben Green at first slip who bends down to scoop up the ball a few inches off the grass and then catch it in the crook of his arm as he straightens up.

    They all count.

The lead is 108 with two wickets in hand. Josh Shaw is the latest into the middle.

  11. Postpublished at 12:13 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 367 v Somerset 283 & 1-1

That really was a fabulous diving take from Ben Foakes.

Dan Worrall strikes early with one of the worst deliveries he's ever bowled, way down the leg side.

Single to Tom Lammonby off Gus Atkinson and Josh Davey is nicely forward to defend.

He's beaten outside off stump to end the over though.

  12. Postpublished at 12:12 British Summer Time 27 April

    Gloucestershire 252 & 118-7 v Leicestershire 262

Josh Hull sends in a full-toss outside off stump which Graeme van Buuren needs no invitation to dispatch to the boundary - that's the first four of the day after 71 minutes of play.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:10 British Summer Time 27 April

    Vaughan c Foakes b Worrall 0 (Surrey 367 v Somerset 283 & 0-1)

Archie Vaughan is forward and across to cover his off stump as he faces Dan Worrall.

The sixth ball is leg side, flicked fine... out!

Caught by diving keeper Ben Foakes! Absolute disaster for Somerset!

Just didn't get enough bat on it.

Er, why is Josh Davey batting at three? Well, he is.

  14. Postpublished at 12:09 British Summer Time 27 April

    Gloucestershire 252 & 114-7 v Leicestershire 262

Leicestershire took 5-16 this morning, with a combination of some fine bowling, helpful conditions, good catches and a couple of errant strokes.

However Zaman Akhter and Graeme van Buuren have taken the Gloucestershire lead into three figures - it's now 104 runs.

  15. Postpublished at 12:07 British Summer Time 27 April

    Notts 300 v Sussex 169 & 231-7 (lead by 100 runs)

A single from Jack Carson extends Sussex's lead to three figures.

These two have done well this morning and are now up to 64 runs for the eighth wicket.

Ollie Robinson's overnight prediction of taking the lead to over 150 in order to give Notts a difficult run chase is in reach.

That said, batting is looking easier now than at any time during the match.

  16. Somerset begin their second innings 84 behindpublished at 12:06 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 367 v Somerset 283 & 0-0

What would be a par score from here?

Somerset can't afford to get too far ahead of themselves with the best part of two days left and an innings deficit to deal with.

Archie Vaughan opens the innings, this time with Tom Lammonby due to the index finger injury suffered by Sean Dickson on Friday morning.

Dan Worrall will bowl to Vaughan to get the innings started.

  17. new ball

Second new ballpublished at 12:02 British Summer Time 27 April

    Notts 300 v Sussex 169 & 229-7 (lead by 98 runs)

John Simpson to face Brett Hutton who has a new ball in hand for what could be a pivotal part of the morning's play.

  18. Close!published at 12:00 British Summer Time 27 April

    Notts 300 v Sussex 169 & 228-7 (lead by 97 runs)

Bit of excitement from the Notts fielders as Farhan Ahmed is pulled straight into Jack Haynes at short leg and the ball ricochets up only to fell just short of Haseeb Hameed at midwicket.

  19. 'A super catch'published at 11:58 British Summer Time 27 April

    Gloucestershire 252 & 105-7 v Leicestershire 262

    Ed Seabourne
    BBC Radio Bristol

    A nice catch by Handscomb.

Leicestershire continue to make deep in-roads into the batting order.

    A super catch.

  20. SURREY ALL OUT FOR 367published at 11:57 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 367 v Somerset 283

Kasey Aldridge over the wicket and James Taylor is bowled for four trying to defend just outside off stump!

Stuck on the crease and just a bit late on the shot.

Somerset capture the last three Surrey wickets within the hour but the lead is a more than useful 84.

Josh Davey ends the innings with 2-74 while Aldridge has 2-75 and Dan Lawrence walks off the field 55 not out.

    Back in 10 minutes!
