WICKETpublished at 11:57 British Summer Time 27 April

    Green c Handscomb b Green 2 (Gloucestershire 252 & 105-7 v Leicestershire 262)

What a catch from stand-in keeper Peter Handscomb, diving to his left to cling onto an inside edge from Cameron Green off Ben Green, who has seven wickets in the game now.

95-7 now. Leicestershire will fancy their chances of winning this today and earning a sunny Monday off.

Zama Akhter is the new man in the middle.

  2. Postpublished at 11:55 British Summer Time 27 April

    Notts 300 v Sussex 169 & 227-7 (lead by 96 runs)

Spin at both ends from Notts with Liam Patterson-White joining Farhan Ahmed as the home side hurry their way to a second new ball.

Bit of a holding pattern in the match as a result with two more overs until a change and Sussex carefully and cautiously playing out the last few with the old ball.

  3. Postpublished at 11:54 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 367-9 v Somerset 283

Another pleasing drive from James Taylor, this time to cover but the ball doesn't pass Archie Vaughan. Over bowled.

Well, if Surrey manage another batting point from here the stands will be a hard hat area. 37 needed in three overs.

He moves across to Josh Davey, leaving leg stump exposed as he tries to sweep and he biffs a four to fine leg! Bottom edged it but the ball was hit hard enough.

The sixth ball is a defensive bouncer and Lawrence ducks.

  4. 'It's a tame way to go'published at 11:54 British Summer Time 27 April

    Gloucestershire 252 & 105-6 v Leicestershire 262

    Richard Rae
    BBC Radio Leicester Sport

    It's taken comfortably at mid-on.

It's the end of James Bracey, a bit of a tame way to go in the end.

I think it's a bit of a misjudgement, he just chips it.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:53 British Summer Time 27 April

    Bracey c Holland b van Beek 5 (Gloucestershire 252 & 105-6 v Leicestershire 262)

    Leicestershire celebrateImage source, Rex Features

No fourth red-inker for James Bracey.

He topples forward to a fuller one from Logan van Beek and chips a simple catch to Ian Holland at mid-on.

That's effectively 95-6 now and the Foxes are making the most of helpful conditions with some fine bowling.

Graeme van Buuren is the new batter.

  6. Postpublished at 11:49 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 363-9 v Somerset 283

Not bad for a number 11! Two balls into his innings, James Taylor is off the mark with four via a near perfect straight drive.

A play and a miss to end the over, again on the drive.

Dan Lawrence cuts the next ball off Kasey Aldridge to cover and James Taylor is halfway down the track before he's sent back to abort the second run.

Fortunately for Surrey the return throw from cover isn't pinpoint accurate and Taylor gets back.

  7. 'He doesn't get the connection'published at 11:47 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 358-9 v Somerset 283

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

The ball was rather looping to Aldridge there.

Worrall doesn't get the connection he wanted at all and he's dismissed by Davey.

  8. Postpublished at 11:46 British Summer Time 27 April

    Derbyshire 472 v Middlesex 142-4

Nothing wrong with Leus du Plooy's hands or eyes, even if he has a sore foot.

Back at Derby and playing against his former club he cuts Zak Chappell away to the rope with perfect poise and timing to move to 26*, one behind Blake Cullen, who replaced as a nightwatcher last night in the gloaming.

Their side remain 330 behind with six wickets in hand.

  9. Postpublished at 11:44 British Summer Time 27 April

    Notts 300 v Sussex 169 & 224-7 (lead by 93 runs)

    Change of pace for Notts.

With six overs to go before the second new ball it is the right-arm spin of Farhan Ahmed into the fray.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:43 British Summer Time 27 April

    Worrall c Aldridge b Davey 6 (Surrey 358-9 v Somerset 283)

Dan Worrall aims a lofted drive at Josh Davey from the crease and gets a thick outside edge through to Kasey Aldridge at second slip.

That ball flew at him and he took it above head height.

James Taylor is in at 11 for the hosts.

  11. 50 runs

50 for Simpsonpublished at 11:42 British Summer Time 27 April

    Notts 300 v Sussex 169 & 223-7 (lead by 92 runs)

John Simpson celebratesImage source, Rex Features

Sussex skipper John Simpson swivels on his heel and pulls Brett Hutton for a single to bring up his half century, the third time he has reached this mark this season.

On the other two occasions he has gone on to 181 and 110. Another hundred here would be very handy for his team.

  12. 'A good innings from Lawrence'published at 11:41 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 354-8 v Somerset 283

    Dean Wilson
    BBC Radio London summariser

A really good over for Surrey.

Two boundaries from Lawrence takes him to 50, he raises his bat to the crowd amidst applause.

    A good innings from him.

  13. Postpublished at 11:41 British Summer Time 27 April

    Gloucestershire 252 & 101-5 v Leicestershire 262

James Bracey has made 274 runs across his past three innings without getting out once.

He gets off the mark here to take his side into three figures.

How he would love to improve on his first-innings 93* today...

  14. 50 runs

50 for Dan Lawrencepublished at 11:41 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 358-8 v Somerset 283

Dan Lawrence is in the crease, working the ball from an off stump line to leg for a single off Migael Pretorius.

    Thick inside edge really.

Thick inside edge from Dan Worrall now, working the next ball behind square for another single.

Shot! Full, outside off and driven to cover by Lawrence for four.

That's 350 and the third batting point secured in the 105th over.

He gets a couple off the next ball with a sprint rather than a marathon and has four more with a cut to point for four!

That's his 50 off 67 balls with six fours. His second score of 50-plus this summer after making a century in Surrey's last game v Sussex.

  15. Postpublished at 11:39 British Summer Time 27 April

    Notts 300 v Sussex 169 & 222-7 (lead by 91 runs)

Fergus O'Neill saves a boundary with a smart piece of fielding at fine leg and in doing so denies John Simpson his half century, limiting the Sussex captain to two runs.

And that is another sharp bit of work by Haseeb Hameed who picks up and throws down the stumps the non striker's as Jack Carson dives to make his ground.

  16. 'These two have played to their merits'published at 11:38 British Summer Time 27 April

    Notts 300 v Sussex 169 & 219-7

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

Jack Carson has been a fierce competitor for Sussex, as the partnership reaches 50.

The new ball is only seven overs away, it's the next landmark Sussex have got to reach.

These two have played to their merits so far.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:37 British Summer Time 27 April

    Hammond c sub (Kimber) 2 (Gloucestershire 252 & 98-5 v Leicestershire 262)

    Two in two balls.

Miles Hammond pushes at one from Ben Green and flashes an edge to sub fielder Louis Kimber who takes a neat catch chest-high at second slip.

Leicestershire are taking control at Bristol.

In-form James Bracey joins Cameron green with their side effectively 88-5 - this partnership now feels pivotal to this match.

  18. Postpublished at 11:35 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 346-8 v Somerset 283

Two slips in for Josh Davey.

Dan Worrall leaves a slower ball outside off stump and jabs the third delivery through wide long on for two.

He blocks out the over and Dan Lawrence now has the strike.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:35 British Summer Time 27 April

    Bancroft lbw van Beek 43 (Gloucestershire 252 & 98-3 v Leicestershire 262

Cam Bancroft is outImage source, Rex Features

Logan van Beek has his revenge from the final ball of the over and Cameron Bancroft departs after 142 very uncomfortable balls in the middle.

This one looks a less convincing shout than the first ball of the over but the finger does go up this time and Gloucestershire are fouur down.

    Cameron Green joins Miles Hammond.

  20. Postpublished at 11:33 British Summer Time 27 April

    Gloucestershire 252 & 98-3 v Leicestershire 262

Logan van Beek delivers his first ball of the day and gets it to jag back at Cam Bancroft who can't get bat on ball and sees his knee roll thumped.

Huge, concerted celebrappeal, but the finger stays down. To be honest I'm not sure why.

Bancroft might be part feline, given the number of lives he has enjoyed today.

    He remains on 43*.

    Pressure is palpable at Bristol.
