    Glamorgan 528 v Glos 380 & 75-2

James Harris charges in from round the wicket, drops short and Ollie Price pulls it away for four.

He is 19 not out, Miles Hammond has 11 and Gloucestershire are 73 behind.

WICKETpublished at 12:11 British Summer Time 2 July

Guest lbw b Green 46 (Derbyshire 198-4 - target 513 to beat Lancs)

    BIG WICKET.

Chris Green returns to the attack and airs one in which draws Brooke Guest forward, playing across the line, but he misses the ball which hits the pad, loops up and is followed by umpire James Tredwell's finger.

The stand of 127 is broken and Martin Andersson joins Wayne Madsen in the middle.

Derbyshire's hopes will rest on these two, you'd have thought.

  3. 'Critchley walks off disconsolate'published at 12:10 British Summer Time 2 July

    Yorks 459 v Essex 368 & 46-5

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

Matt Critchley, not getting any runs on this occasion, walks off disconsolate.

Height-wise it certainly measured up and he didn't get anywhere in terms if getting forward to play that.

Michael Gough had a good think about it and raised the finger.

Essex are in deep trouble now with half of their wickets gone

  4. Postpublished at 12:08 British Summer Time 2 July

    Hampshire 221 & 121-3 v Worcestershire 679-7 dec

Ben Brown and Tilak Varma have just started to play with a little more freedom in the past 15 minutes and have chased one of the close catchers away from the bat when Callum Parkinson is bowling his slow left-arm spin.

The runs don't particularly matter but the Pears are struggling to apply pressure on these two, who look very composed as they battle to save the game.

  5. Latest from Canterburypublished at 12:08 British Summer Time 2 July

    Kent 566-8 dec v Northants 649-6

If there is no further rain at the Spitfire Ground, play will resume at 12:20, with 18 overs lost from the day's allocation.

Saif Zaib is 160 not out and Justin Broad has 122 - they have so far added 225 together.

  6. Postpublished at 12:06 British Summer Time 2 July

    Derbyshire 196-3 - target 513 to beat Lancs – need 374

This stand between Wayne Madsen and Brooke Guest is now worth 125.

Madsen moves to 63* with an effortless pull off Jack Blatherwick which dissects two fielders at backward square leg to find the rope.

The run rate and required rate still both begin with a 3...

  7. Postpublished at 12:06 British Summer Time 2 July

    Somerset 379 & 64-3 v Notts 509

James Rew gets in on the act with a well-timed sweep off Liam Patterson-White for four. Three dots balls complete the over. Somerset are still 66 in arrears.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 2 July

    Critchley lbw b White 0 (Yorks 459 v Essex 368 & 44-5)

There's more drizzle in the air but Yorkshire will want to stay on the field for sure - they have Essex well and truly on the ropes.

Matt Critchley is stuck in his crease as an inswinger from Jack White raps him on the pads and the umpire's finger signals the Essex man's departure for a duck.

Charlie Allison is the next man in for the visitors, who still need another 47 to make Yorkshire bat again.

    Derbyshire 190-3 - target 513 to beat Lancs –

We have shadows at Queen's Park. The sun is threatening to burn through.

Lancashire have 18 overs left before they can take a new ball which you feel might be a key factor in the destiny of this contest.

Still feels very 'calm before the stormish.'

Derbyshire remain in touch with the required rate.

  10. 'Essex are in some trouble'published at 12:01 British Summer Time 2 July

    Yorks 459 v Essex 368 & 40-4

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

I didn't know if that had carried or not from this angle.

Yorkshire are in and among for the first time on this final day and Essex are in some trouble.

Simon Harmer's done a job for a little while but I'm sure if you are of an Essex persuasion then you'd feel he's done it for a little while but not long enough.

You'd have wanted to him to go as deep as possible today and he hasn't been able to do that.

  11. Day four begins at the Kia Ovalpublished at 12:00 British Summer Time 2 July

    Surrey 820-9 dec v Durham 343-9

The covers are off, the floodlights are on - and, with plenty of grey cloud hovering above the Kia Oval, these look like ideal conditions for seam bowling.

So Dan Worrall and Matt Fisher will be licking their lips as they focus on the initial task of wrapping up Durham's first innings and putting the visitors in for a second time.

We've lost 16 overs due to that rain delay, so 80 are still scheduled for today.

This really is a test of young Farhan Ahmed's composure now.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore hammers him down the ground for another six - this one even higher than the one in the spinner's previous over.

It's done sufficient damage to the ball that the umpires decide it must be changed. TKC is 28 not out.

  13. Postpublished at 11:54 British Summer Time 2 July

    Somerset 379 & 46-3 v Notts 509

Somerset are certainly in a positive mindset.

Liam Patterson-White starts a new over and James Rew reverse sweeps for four.

That was outside leg stump - but it's always a risky shot.

  14. Postpublished at 11:54 British Summer Time 2 July

Derbyshire 189-3 - target 513 to beat Lancs

Jack Blatherwick strays down the leg side and Brooke Guest cashes-in with a clip beyond the diving Matty Hurst to the rope at fine leg to move to 45*.

Wayne Madsen is 57* at the other end but survives a big lbw shout from George Balderson as he plays across the line. Heading down leg.

50 runs added this morning. 324 more needed. Still less than four an over. Hmm.

  15. 6 runs

Postpublished at 11:53 British Summer Time 2 July

    Somerset 379 & 42-3 v Notts 509

    Glorious by Tom Kohler-Cadmore.

A step down the wicket and he hits Farhan Ahmed straight into the top deck of the stand, landing just short of the commentary box.

Somerset need another 88 to clear the deficit.

  16. 50 up for Gloucestershirepublished at 11:49 British Summer Time 2 July

    Glamorgan 528 v Glos 380 & 51-2

Almost three gone at Sophia Gardens.

Miles Hammond cuts aerially off Ben Kellaway and is fortunate that the fielder at third man can't quite make the ground to take the catch.

Gloucestershire reach 50 but are still 97 behind.

WICKETpublished at 11:46 British Summer Time 2 July

    Harmer c Abdullah Shafique b Coad 5 (Yorks 459 v Essex 368 & 37-4)

First wicket of the day for Yorkshire - and a third of the innings for Ben Coad!

Simon Harmer steers the ball off the back foot to point and Abdullah Shafique dives to take a very fine catch that leaves Essex four down.

Matt Critchley makes his way to the middle to join Jordan Cox, with the visitors still 54 behind.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:45 British Summer Time 2 July

    Phillips c Tribe b Kellaway 28 (Glamorgan 528 v Glos 380 & b49-2)

    WHAT A CATCH!

Joe Phillips clips a ball from Ben Kellaway off the full face of the bat, Asa Tribe sticks out a hand at short leg and deflects it into the air, before swivelling and diving backwards to take in both hands.

We bet even Phillips was impressed with that one.

  19. Postpublished at 11:43 British Summer Time 2 July

    Somerset 379 & 29-3 v Notts

Off-spinner Farhan Ahmed didn't get much out of the pitch in Somerset's first innings.

Having just taken that catch to send Tom Lammonby on his way, he comes into the attack for Notts.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore sweeps a single from his opening delivery.

  20. 'A very, very tame dismissal'published at 11:43 British Summer Time 2 July

    Somerset 379 & 28-3 v Notts 509

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

All I can say is the ball was there for the shot. I don't think there was much wrong with the shot selection from Tom Lammonby, it was the execution that was the problem.

If you're going to hit it into the air you've got to hit it out into the middle.

    A very, very tame dismissal.

A well judged catch from Farhan Ahmed, he got everything behind it.
