  1. SA 58-2published at 9 overs

    Target 205

Freya Kemp responds well with a good slower ball which deceives Dercksen and pins her in the stomach.

A nasty one but she shares a laugh with her captain.

  2. 6 runs

    SA 56-2published at 8.2 overs

    Two in two!

Another short ball, another pull for six.

I love this approach from Dercksen. South Africa are probably going to finish significantly short of the total but she might as well have some fun while she's out there.

  3. 6 runs

    SA 50-2published at 8.1 overs

    Told you!

Annerie Dercksen greets Freya Kemp into the attack, clubbing the first ball of the over the ropes for six.

    Great shot.

Sarah Glenn took the pace off and a there was a little bit of turn, which we don't usually see from her. Slowing it down completely was a good ploy to Faye Tunnicliffe as she favours the sweep shot, but Faye went too early. She did show some promise though in her innings.

  5. SA 44-2published at 8 overs

    Target 205

Annerie Dercksen joins her captain in the middle, and she is a genuinely exciting prospect for the future of South Africa.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 7.4 overs

    Tunnicliffe b Glenn 22 (SA 43-2)

    Sarah Glenn strikes!

A risky shot from Faye Tunnicliffe, sweeping against the spin, and she loses her off stump in the process.

A difficult innings for the newcomer.

Sophie Ecclestone will see this as an opportunity for wickets galore.

  8. SA 40-1published at 7 overs

    Target 205

And it's not going to get any easier as Sophie Ecclestone comes into the attack.

Saying that, Faye Tunnicliffe drives gloriously through the covers for four before thumping another down the ground.

10 runs from the spinner's opening over.

  9. SA 30-1published at 6 overs

    Target 205

Brutally, it might not be the worst thing if Tunnicliffe gets out.

South Africa seem to have accepted already that this target is beyond them. That's a tortuous powerplay and Tunnicliffe has 12 from 21 balls.

  10. Not outpublished at 5.5 overs

    Nope!

Fast hands from Amy Jones but Faye Tunnicliffe gets her foot back just in time.

  11. Umpire reviewpublished at 5.5 overs

    It's all going on!

    Now is she stumped?

  12. Not outpublished at 5.4 overs

    Tunnicliffe gets away with it.

She gets in a right tangle trying to sweep, but replays show the ball had ricocheted off Amy Jones' pads.

  13. Umpire reviewpublished at 5.4 overs

England celebrate the wicket of Faye Tunnicliffe, seemingly bowled by Charlie Dean, but it's a messy one and the umpires want to check where the ball hit first.

I think the battle between Lauren Filer and Laura Wolvaardt will be interesting to see, as Laura plays so well against pace. Filer is bowling just under 75 mph but Wolvdaart is playing her really well.

The extra pace actually seems to be helping the South Africa batters score more freely.

  15. SA 27-1published at 5 overs

    Target 205

Last month, Anneke Bosch struck Bosch 74 not out from 48 balls against the brilliant Australia side to take South Africa into the World Cup semi-final.

Today, she is carrying the drinks.

South Africa haven't performed well today but you can't help but feel that they haven't helped themselves with selection either.

  16. SA 20-1published at 4 overs

    Target 205

Pressure building on Faye Tunnicliffe, who has five from 12 balls.

She's very inexperienced so this is a huge ask for her. But if the boundaries aren't coming, the best thing to do is to just get Laura Wolvaardt back on strike.

At the moment, South Africa are going nowhere.

  17. SA 18-1published at 3.1 overs

    There's the first!

Charlie Dean starts with a loose delivery down the leg side and Laura Wolvaardt doesn't hesitate in sending it to the ropes.

  18. SA 14-1published at 3 overs

    Target 205

England are giving South Africa a lesson in doing the basics right. On a flat pitch, simply bowling full and straight is what's required and Laura Wolvaardt's side couldn't do that consistently at all.

Three overs in and the hosts are yet to score a boundary.

  19. Postpublished at 17:50 Greenwich Mean Time

    Tash Farrant
England bowler on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Lauren Filer's accuracy has gotten a lot better but you still want her to try and bowl as fast as she can. Her pace is really her strength and she is creating some lovely shape here with the inswinger.

  20. SA 9-1published at 2 overs

    Target 205

A short ball is pulled for a couple by Tunnicliffe, before a fuller delivery completely bamboozles her outside the off stump.
