Hmmm, there seems to be some sort of delay here. I think one of the floodlights might have failed.

The players are taking a drink and having a chat.

Much better bowling from Nadine de Klerk, she is bowling a little bit straighter. Wyatt-Hodge is still trying to get enough power into her shot to reach the boundary, but is finding it more difficult at the moment.

  3. Eng 83-2published at 9 overs

Now Nat Sciver-Brunt is joining the party, stepping across her stumps and helping the ball over short fine leg for four.

Nadine de Klerk responds with three dots, though it is still looking very ominous for South Africa. If they carry on as they are England are projected to reach 195.

  4. 50 runs

    50 for Danni Wyatt-Hodgepublished at 7.5 overs

    And there it is!

Danni Wyatt-Hodge dispatches another drive through the covers that evades Chloe Tryon and flies over the rope to bring up her half-century from just 32 balls.

South Africa aren't bowling well at all. Every delivery they are feeding to Danni Wyatt-Hodge is outside off-stump. You have to be quick to adapt as a bowler and try to hold the ball cross-seam, otherwise Danni will just keep finding the boundary.

England are going along nicely here.

  6. 6 runs

    Eng 74-2published at 7.4 overs

Danni Wyatt-Hodge is served up a full toss by Nonkululeko Mlaba and she nonchalantly heaves the ball over long-on for six.

    Wyatt-Hodge moves on to 49.

A wayward powerplay for South Africa, where their seamers have really struggled to hit their areas. Just one of their 30 pace deliveries (3.3%) have hit a good line and length so far. That is the lowest percentage in South Africa's history and the fourth lowest of all time in the ball tracking era.

  8. Eng 61-2published at 7 overs

A bit of aggression from Annerie Dercksen, who doesn't take kindly to being smacked for two fours and bowls a decent bouncer that is followed up by a death stare.

Not that is made much difference, Danni Wyatt-Hodge ends the over with another four - her third of the over - to race onto 41.

South Africa are offering Wyatt-Hodge far too much width outside off.

South Africa have been sloppy with the ball. Both Ayanda Hlubi and Nadine de Klerk struggled to find their lines properly and that theme is continuing.

England have done well considering those two early losses and will probably be the happier of the two sides at the moment.

  10. dropped catch

    Wyatt-Hodge dropped on 29published at 6.1 overs

    Oh dear.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge cuts new bowler Annerie Dercksen straight to Nonkululeko Mlaba at deep third, but she seems to lose sight of the ball in the flight and it escapes her grasp before flying over the rope.

England are learning that with the pace taken off the ball, it is not quite as easy to find the boundaries.

  12. Eng 48-2published at 6 overs

Chloe Tryon, who missed the first T20, is back in the side and back into the attack for the final over of the powerplay.

It is a bit of a pick n mix over, including a wild wide and a rather ugly half-tracker that Danni Wyatt-Hodge lofts over the covers for two.

England reach 48-2 at the end of the powerplay, which is a decent recovery after losing those two quick wickets.

South Africa haven't quite got it right in the powerplay. They have bowled too wide, especially to Danni Wyatt-Hodge, who will whack it if you bowl there.

She has made a really decent start for England.

  14. Eng 43-2published at 5 overs

Danni Wyatt-Hodge is feasting on anything wide of off stump as she powers Eliz-Mari Marx backward of point for another boundary.

She repeats the trick two balls later and it just has enough to evade the diving fielder at point.

Every run scored by Wyatt-Hodge will be painful for South Africa after that earlier drop.

Sciver-Brunt and Wyatt-Hodge first batted together for England in 2013. Since then they have amassed over 1200 runs as a pair with an average partnership of 33 runs, scored at 8 runs per over (7x50's + 1x100).

If England want a big score today Danni Wyatt-Hodge is going to have to bring a solid performance and score some runs.

Ayanda Hlubi is bowling all over the wicket at the moment and England seem to be taking advantage of it.

  17. Eng 35-2published at 4 overs

Salt pours into the South Africa wound as the reprieved Danni Wyatt-Hodge charges Ayanda Hlubi and smashes the ball cross-batted down the ground.

And again! Wyatt-Hodge cuts the next ball over point with a flourish and the ball fizzes to the rope.

  18. dropped catch

Wyatt-Hodge dropped on ninepublished at 2.6 overs

That is a mighty fine effort from Sinolo Jafta, but she puts it down!

Nadine de Klerk gets one to leap off the surface and Danni Wyatt-Hodge's cut flicks off the edge and through to the South Africa wicketkeeper, who dives to her right but cannot hold on.

    Let off for England.

A tough start to life at number three for England for Sophia Dunkley - she had never batted at three for England before this series, and has just four runs from her first two attempts in that pivotal role.

You can see how frustrated Sophia Dunkley is with that dismissal. I believe she plays better further down the batting order.

It's now up to Nat Sciver-Brunt again to see if she can save England. She is so used to coming in without a platform and having to rebuild.
