    So where do we stand?

One of these sides will hope to be playing a semi-final against South Africa in Trinidad at 01:30 BST on Thursday morning, and it's Afghanistan in pole position. A win today in St Vincent, or, heaven forbid, a washout, and they go through.

If Bangladesh win, then they, Afghanistan and Australia will all be will be tied on two points and the semi-finalists will be decided by net run-rate.

Afghanistan won't be able to progress as they already sit behind Australia on that front and a defeat would worsen their figures, while Bangladesh need a big victory to pass Mitchell Marsh's side.

Perhaps no surprise that Afghanistan have chosen to bat first.

Every team that has batted first at Kingstown in St Vincent and Grenadines has gone on to win so far in the tournament.
